Bahhaaa, No. I love how at $130 average comment leads directly into the buy up of all the GCV contracts which certainly skews that average. I would be lucky to get $108 for my SSR contract right now, actual price is about $95-$100. The market is not turning just static because people aren't willing to negotiate.
The "Hey, looks like we're maybe just entering a rebounding market, so sell your VGC points now while we're still near the bottom" was particularly entertaining.

I take their average prices with a grain of salt as they price their listings way higher than what most of us here would consider “average”
Yeah if any buyers don't know better, they haven't done enough research and read their blogs only, they wouldn't think twice that's too high.

I appreciate the way Fidelity breaks down sales data on the size of the contract. Small contracts will drive the average up for sure.
Agree! My contract is right on their average!

Let’s see what the Fidelity April average sales prices look like first. But I’d be surprised if prices change meaningfully (either way) between now and September, unless Disney turns on the ROFR machine again, other than the unique situation at VGC.

Here's the Fidelity report! https://www.fidelityrealestate.com/blog/april-2023-average-dvc-resale-price-per-point/

Edit: Fidelity pricing is about $15-20 per point less than the board sponsor (Poly was only $9 less though)

I just sold my partially stripped SSR for $110 after a couple of days. Had it listed for $115 so it's not as low as you would think.

I was hoping there would be some ROFR posts today. Maybe Monday will be the day 😊
I hope so as well. Today is day 30 so if my broker doesn't hear by Monday, he'll be following up. I really don't know why mine is being held back when so many others also buying SSR (with more points and mostly lower prices) are passing ROFR so quickly. I really feel like someone dropped the ball - Disney or DVCsales.com - I may never know.

That stinks. I’m sorry you have been waiting so long!!! It seems the average lately has been 18 days. I’m hoping mine doesn’t take a month!

Oh man that’s terrible that today is day 30 and you haven’t heard. I really hope you hear something on Monday.

Thank for commiserating with me! The reason I'm really huffy about it is that I put an offer on BWV contract in late March, went to ROFR on 3/26 and passed ROFR on 4/4. Then I started the process with this contract and it sent for ROFR 2 days later - I really can't imagine a huge influx/timeframe change in less than 2 weeks, so something smells fishy to me.

This has my wondering too. What is in the works? Restrictions? Massive buy backs?
