Hurricane Irma?

I hope they still have some of that pixie dust for me! I have been on hold for guest services for nearly six hours hoping to convince a CM to let me keep my free dining plan. I'm hoping just to come in on Tuesday rather than Sunday since my flights were cancelled and to add a few more days on the back side. I heard the following week is supposed to be very nice. So glad your patience worked for you! I will continue to listen to winnie the pooh, the haunted manision, and america song and hope for the same results
Please let us know if you have any success on the free dining front!

I haven't cancelled yet but getting worried that I might have to. My flight is Tuesday morning at 7:30 am from New Orleans expected to arrive around 10:45 ish in Orlando. Just praying for some pixie dust that all works out! Haven't been to Disney in 15 years!

We are too. We have BLT booked for 3 days, and then will be put on a DVC waitlist after we check in for the remainder of our stay. I have never done that before so who knows where we will be after Saturday....
Wow What if nothing comes up? No way you thought of canceling the whole thing or moving the dates to when there is availability? DVC member?

Hi. You don't know me, and I don't know you, but we've both been member of DIS for a long time. I live in a house West of Orlando...can see WDW fireworks from my driveway, and am only two exits west of the Celebration/Disney exit on I-4. Anyway, if you need a safer place to be, you are welcome to come here. We have a generator at the ready, tarps to cover windows, you name it and we probably have it. Seriously, moved down here 8 yrs ago and this will be our first experience with a hurricane. One son and girlfriend live near Colonial Drive in Orlando and are coming here to ride out the storm. Other son works at Universal and his apt. is 15 min. from there. He and his gf are also coming here. Better to be with other people than left all by yourself to deal with it. The tropical storm winds are supposed to begin on Saturday and just continue to worsen through Monday. Please PM me or post here. Lynn

For anyone trying to find the most up-to-date info on Irma, the site in this link is excellent. The guy takes ALL weather info and consolidates it in one place, plus goes live around 9pm each night to explain all the graphs, etc. Stay safe everyone. http://spaghettimodels.com/

Best post ever on these boards

Hey, I just realized I have no idea how our tickets work. We ordered them through Undercover Tourist (three day park hoppers). I don't think we assigned specific days to them -- should these be good for a certain amount of time? I bought them in April. Thanks for any info you can share.

Or 407-938-4050. Forget which one is correct. But they are both Disney! I'm a little confused because I've been talking to a few different departments. Sorry!

News from GA. I live north of ATL. I 75 was very very slow heading home this evening. According to traffic reports it was worse south of the city heading north. In case you didn't know Atlanta Motor Speedway is opening to rv and tent campers at no charge. However GA-almost whole state-is now in the cone of uncertainty. As I told my brother who lives in Titusville and planned on heading up here-Alabama. Head to Alabama. If you plan on stopping anywhere in GA call a hotel from the road. You will more than likely have to call several. If you can even find one.

For those hoping to get through to a live person faster, try this:

From the DisneyWorld page, scroll down to the "contact" link at the very bottom. That page will bring up a whole bunch of numbers ranging from guest services, to tickets, to meals. There is one called something like "Past Trips". I called it yesterday, immediately spoke with a person and was able to make a reservation (since cancelled) at the Contemporary.

Yeah we've thought of cancelling all together, and still may depending on what the reports are on Monday. We're renting the DVC points, and there's literally NO availability (so I've been told) for a week-long stay before the points expire in March in a studio at BLT, BWV, BCV, WL, or Poly.

How is Tennessee as far as preparedness is anyone stocking up on gas in anticipation we are planning on driving through there my husband concern is not having gas to get to Disney
So-so. We already has some shortages due to the pipeline shutdown following Harvey. Not all stations had been completely replenished following that. One station at the foot of the mountain where we live is out now. I'm sure they'll get more but it's very abnormal for them to be out, except for when the pipeline has issues, then it is normal. Our prices did jump about $1 over the past week, which is quite annoying. I paid $3 to fill up (I have to get premium in my car) on my way home today)

It might have been mentioned here, but I've been gone for a while:

What is WDW's buildings rated to again?

Not posted in a few days but we're here in kissemme, got a full shop at Walmart for business as usual but also bought extras just in case (canisters to fill with water etc.) I'm terrified but we couldn't really shift our dates and we weren't getting any warnings from the airline or travel agents. I'm hoping it does veer off so orlando doesn't get battered. I don't even know what to do in this situation tbh, will our windows blow out? Will the roof blow away? As a Brit who's never experienced something like this I could use some advice
