Thanks for the tips...I was having a hard time figuring out how to get to that part of the new options!

:welcome: to posting on the thread!

Where are you staying for your upcoming trip?

:goodvibes

I will be staying at BC for the first time in October. Really looking forward to it after reading through this thread. Thanks for all the great information!!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool1:

Staying at BCV for the first time and VERY excited! My husband and I are staying in a studio villa. Love all the info and hype on this thread! Making us even more excited! Monday is FastPass day so will feel a lot better once that's done and hopefully get FOP!

:welcome:

Hype?

:lmao:

You are not wrong.

I'll add you to the list.

:woohoo:

Just got back from our first stay at the YC, and it was amazing! We did a split stay (4 nights YC, 4 nights Poly). The new rooms in the YC were great. We were right off the elevator on the 3rd floor. Staff was very attentive and it was pretty low key in the lobby. Loved the bathroom and rainhead shower. I also liked how there was a door for the shower/toilet and another door for the sink area, so it was easier for 5 of us to have space to get dressed and ready. The Poly has always been our favorite, but after the YC, the rooms at the poly seemed a bit in need of a refurb. I felt like I slept so much better at the YC than the Poly too-beds were nicer and the a/c was better too- it kept turning on and off at poly. It was nice to have a gym on site too. Once we got to the Poly, I didn't feel like making the trek to the GF to go to the gym.
In the past, we have stated at BC, GF, CR as well and the YC is just as impressive, def the best Epcot resort we have stayed at. Just wanted to share my experience, for those heading the YC, you won't regret it!!!!

Thank you so much for your review! I'm glad you had a great stay and that the YC room worked for your group.

::yes::

BUMP!!!

Thanks for posting about this. I had not heard about it. I'm also interested in reviews from anyone who has done this.

I'm a little hesitant to add this to the list of amenities at the resort since it seems like really neat things keep getting introduced and then are abruptly discontinued (Park-to-Park Transport...)

Does Disney still offer the walking "Keys to the World Showcase" or "Behind the World Showcase" or whatever it was that culminated in a lunch in Morocco?

:goodvibes

Yes, I believe the tour you are asking about is World Showcase Destinations Discovered and it is still offered. We did it when it was new and really enjoyed it.

That looks like so much fun. My older daughters would love it, but we'll have to wait a few years until they're both over 16.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest List in 2018.

:woohoo:

I'll move your April listing and pencil you in for 2019- Let us know when you have something booked.

:goodvibes

Thanks so much for your review and information. Any chance you have a picture of the view from BCV 238?

:thumbsup2

Thanks so much!!!

Do all rooms have balconies?

Most, but not all, rooms at YC have a balcony or patio. That is not the case for BC--some have tiny Juliette balconies, some have a door that opens but no balcony, just a barrier rail (I've had one of these little buggers before), some have a full balcony, some have a patio and some have neither.

I'm so glad you mentioned this because I had forgotten! I will add TP to my packing list! I can't *stand* cheap toilet paper. :lmao:

Probably a good investment when doing the store stop on the way to the resort. The only resort that has great TP is GF, unless it has changed in the last couple of years. The rest of the deluxes have something less than acceptable--I am definitely a Charmin loyalist!

ME TOO!!! :cheer2:

Can someone kindly point me in the direction of the Sunkin Treasure recipe I know I've seen on here before? I checked the first few pages of the thread but can't seem to find it. We check in tomorrow and I just read that they were removed from the menu at Hurricane Hanna's  While I'm sure most of the bartenders would know how to make it I don't want to take any chances!! I can't imagine a BC stay without a Sunkin Treasure :sad2:

Thank you in advance :thanks::worship:

Beach Club once again...Our first stay here was last October...Stayed in BWV in May, 2017 and will be back at Beach Club in March 2018! We have been enjoying the flexibility of staying at different DVC properties since we purchased six years ago but are BLT owners.

LOL! I hadn't even noticed the quality. The stuff at work is awful and for the house I buy the cheapest toilet paper I can get away with because my kids haven't mastered the art of flushing every time they use the bathroom. We rely on the cheap stuff to disintegrate upon contact with water. It's cut way back on overflows. My oldest insists it's not her fault and she should get the premium stuff.

LOL! I'm in the same boat! I buy the "good stuff" for me and the cheap stuff do the boys!

May I ask, how hard is it for you to book at other resorts at your seven month mark? We are seriously considering buying, but would love to explore other resorts from time to time. Thanks!

New pillows today at BC. 2 soft, 2 firm per queen bed.

I can't believe I'm posting about pillows, but I had been thinking every night that they were too thin and soft (until this afternoon). Even that I'd bring my own next time. Not now - I like the new firm pillows.

I know someone here who wanted the brand last year, so I'll include that: Sobel Westex is the brand. "Sahara Nights Firm" and "Sobella Soft."

Hope it is in all the rooms..! I have a nice firm pillow at home which is hard to find on vacation! We check in tomorrow! :cool1:
