I just booked a Deluxe Studio with walk in shower for October. Are the rumors that there would be an "alternate" studio not true? I had seen floor plans for it earlier in this thread...Or is the Deluxe Studio with walk in shower that Studio? I had read that it was more like a 1 bedroom minus the full kitchen and W/D.... don't see that as a bookable option, unless that's what the Deluxe Studio with walk in shower is... I'm confused I guess! Lol

There are a few "alternate studios" but likely only 4 or 5 rooms total so it makes sense to not have it a bookable category.

I still haven't booked our August trip, my travel dates are 8/23-8/28, I would love to book WL but I'm wondering how much construction would be going on by then.

If only I knew that the new Boulder Ridge (formerly Hidden Spring Quiet pool) would be completed by then, that would make all the difference!

I too think it'll be open by a late August trip.

The new pool will be open to all guests. I will miss the old Hidden Springs pool with its bubbles, quiet, and quaintness.
The old pool was open to all guests too. There may still be bubbles too. We can't tell exactly what is up with the long distance shots folk have been taking. It's a wait and see... and keep the fingers crossed game.

I suspect the crowds at the new pool will be up at first due to the novelty of it, but in time will gravitate back over to the main pool. Lifeguards and locked at night gates are almost assured to become a thing too.

The big difference to me is that I loved having all trees closed in around the pool for shade and privacy from peering eyes.

I dont really know and it will be interesting to find out :-) We really wanted the walk-in shower, so will be happy (we hope!) with whichever of the three Studio configurations (normal, reversed, alternate) we end up with.

I also saw that the copper creek is ready to book, it's so exciting as the rooms look really beautiful! Where in WL are these villas located?

By the way I called Disney to ask when Roaring Forks would open again, I was told May 13 and then the agent said she saw another note that said that it would open on 7/16, just curious if anyone else knows?

All the studios, 1 and 2 bedrooms, and grand villas are in the south wing of the main Wilderness Lodge. The original standard rooms were converted. The cabins are on the water spanning from the north to the south wing.

I read in the main Wilderness Lodge thread that late May guests had been receiving the Disney Destinations e-mail alerting them to the Roaring Fork closure during their trips. I believe early June has not received them yet, but it could happen any day.

The July 16th date is the first day some of the new rooms in Copper Creek can have guests stay in them. Roaring Fork could be done before, on, or after this.

Are you sure that's not a king bed in the one bedroom villa? It would be the first ever one bedroom without a king sized bed.

I was thinking the same thing... a queen?? But I checked Disney's website and it does say Queen in the 1 bedroom... surely that is a typo!?!

I copy and pasted from the Disney (resorts) website.

However, the DVC website for Copper Creek says:

1-Bedroom Villa
View Floor Plans- Modal
Views of Pool, Bay Lake, Woodlands, Courtyard, Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa
Sleeps Up to 4

So one of them is a typo.

I'd believe the DVC member website over Disney's website. It's a king sized bed not a queen sized bed.

We still haven't booked our August stay yet, would love to stay at WL, DH was wondering by August 23rd, how much construction do you think will be going on in WL?

We would be staying in a 1 bedroom villa (the original villa building)

Do you think you would be hearing a lot of jackhammering when relaxing by the pool & noise like that?

I'm just wondering what to expect in terms of construction if we stay starting the 23rd of August.

When we stayed at BWV last summer they had a ton of concrete work / jackhammering throughout our stay, it's wasn't very relaxing.:sad2:

Thanks so much for any feedback Marina :flower1:

I noticed that at least for the summer room only 25% discount the Boulder Ridge Villas are listed but Copper Ridge is not. Maybe it is because they are not open yet. But it is possible that with everyone exited about the new villas, Disney may try to offer incentives to stay at the old ones. So the difference in price could be considerably higher if you are going at a time that a room discount may be offered. Who knows they may even make the WL villas free dining eligible.

I am thinking that the upcoming year may be a good one to get a good deal on a stay at WL villas without renting DVC points ;). I am considering just staying at Boulder Ridge next year although I really wanted to try Copper Creek.

The summer discounts end in June; CCV doesn't open until July, so there is no way it could be listed on the summer discounts currently out.

We realize that there is a possibility CCV will not have a room discount for our dates, however, our dates are in the window where there may be no discounts anyway -- especially likely to be no free dining discounts, though room only has been a better deal for us anyway in the past. We are resigned to paying rack rate if necessary, will be happy if there is a discount, and are excited to try out CCV. Plus the stay is 3 nights and we are not doing parks [may do a water park for a half day if the weather is nice enough] so will be spending our time at the resort.

You keep asking the same question in different forums Marina, The answer is the same.
Nobody knows for sure. The main work is scheduled to be completed by mid July. Will it get extended - who knows, but I think not. With the work left there should not be a lot of jackhammering, but there may be construction noise on property, I personally, don't think it will be bad, but I don't know what would bother you

There's a virtual tour of CCV studio, 1 bed, and 2 bed...Can't post the link due to it being at DVC...Info....
Google it though, it was really cool

We are going June 29- July 6. Will the pools be open and finished by then?
The main pool has remained open during all of construction and most certainly will remain so. The new pool, Boulder Yadayadasomethingorelse, will more than likely be open by then, as well, though currently no one can say with any veracity. The new DVC units are scheduled to be open on 17 July, and my guess is the pool will be open before then to ensure it works correctly and to iron out any wrinkles. Will that be by 29 June? Hard to tell, but I'd say the odds are in your favor. Again, no guarantees. ;)
