Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Information & Questions

I was watching it on youtube on my smart tv so don't have a link to it. You're right though, it may have just been the angle. Thanks for the replies!

I'm looking into possibly staying here for the first time! Pretty excited but I have a lot of questions. I normally stay at All Stars or Pop.
How comfortable are the non main beds in the cars family suites? How is the walk from the cars buildings to the main building?

We are also planning on staying in a cars suite next September. We have stayed in The cabins at fort Wilderness and loved the space however our 3 year old loves cars right now so AOA is our choice.

Making requests for my trip. Staying in the little mermaid rooms. Does it make sense to pick near transportation? I know that's not really possible but I'm hoping it'd put us in the front of the bldg thats closer to the lobby area. If you think its a waste, ill put near elevator.

Yes, you can definitely request "near transportation" even in the LM rooms. That will hopefully get you in one of the two closer buildings, either King Triton or Ursula. The Ariel building is the furthest back. I don't think this request is a waste at all! This summer I stayed in the Triton building. We had an amazing trip and I didn't think the walk was that bad.

Hi Everyone! We are considering a trip at Easter to stay at AoA. We have never done a value resort before although we have stayed on site many times. My question is about transportation. Am I right in thinking that there is only one bus stop at AoA? Last time we stayed at CBR where there was a stop at each "country". If it is that there is only one bus stop - how is this? Does it get really packed?? This is the thing that is putting my husband off this resort and my daughters are desperate to stay here!! TIA

Yes, there is only one bus stop, but it's very orderly (there are chains marking the lines for each bus, which I found to be incredibly helpful). It can get crowded...in particular, I remember the MK line being huge the morning we did rope drop in May...but we never waited longer than 10 or 15 minutes, even that MK morning when there had to have been at least 150-200 people in line.

Just one bus stop. It's very orderly with lines. Yes, there are more people, but buses seem to come more frequently then at the mods and you just get on the bus and go right to the parks. We prefer the value buses to the mod buses for this reason.

Thank you for your replies - so am I right in there are different queues for each park? That would make things easier I would have thought - at CBR all buses came to the bus stop whichever park they were for and it was a free for all getting on!

Yes, there is an organized queue for each park and DS.

Fabulous thank you! Just a quick further question- would you happen to know how long the walk is from little mermaid rooms to the bus stop? Thanks

I've only stayed in the Lion King suites, but I would think probably 10-ish minutes, depending on your walking speed, from the Little Mermaid rooms.

We stayed in a Nemo room a couple years ago. The table bed was very comfortable. I think it was less firm than the main bed in the bedroom, which I like. I didn't find the sofa bed comfortable at all. Could feel the bar all night as the mattress wasn't thick enough. For a bigger adult it wasn't comfortable, but my nephew had no complaints.

The cars room are right there. We actually requested lake view in the nemo rooms, and were probably further than quite a few rooms in the car section. Just click close to transportation during online check in.

Cumbley,if you are returning from a Park and a Pop Century bus comes first, some Guests will just hop on that bus and walk from POP back over to AoA.

Thanks for that info - I hadnt realised you could walk between them!

Thinking about an AoA suite for our next trip. Can you see the HS fireworks from the resort? It was one of the things we loved about CBR.

Absolutely! Viewing the DHS fireworks from AoA or Pop Century is such a treat. CBR, AoA, and Pop are all pretty much parallel to DHS.
