Pandora to open next summer

April is really pushing it, we have a trip planned in May and I don't think that it will be up and running by then.

I've been hearing dates ranging from late May to mid July, so even softs in April seem very unlikely. Honestly, at the rate they've been going, you'll be lucky to catch Rivers of Light.

I'm hoping it's open by my August trip, but I think even that is 50%...

Summer lasts until September 21...

I think April is unlikely. This area will go through extensive CM previews (almost every new ride/area does) and then probably have a month of DVC/AP previews just like New Fatasyland did. If they are confident in the tech maybe they'll do like NFL where they pulled random families in to experience and give feedback but not sure. I'd say maybe known CM previews by then but not guest previews yet. Even with NFL the first wave of trials was right place at right time. Even people in the know had a hard time getting through the door.

Go with your gut as to when you'll have the best overall time/weather. That's may in orlando.

Disney has demonstrated no clue in assessing their technical progress on developments...those people who could are long gone. And you have Dr. dippy and James Cameron quarterbacking this...yoi

The rides are already testing. As seen in the video that's been released Iger has ridden the boat ride already. Some things "Dr. dippy" can do right.

Mid June is a safer bet.

You have not a clue to when this thing will a.open b. Get through all the initial system breakdowns associated with volume the first time c. become dependable enough to not impact expensive vacations.

It's a toss of the dice. You know I'm right on this one. It is what it is and known of us or them have any other idea.

I heard the same kinda "estimates" last year on the show and olaf's cruise was broken half the time for months. And it opened late...almost forgot that.

I love the flower and garden but if its only 1 month delay and i get to see pandora ill take it. I went in late may last year and missed frozen, soarin and star wars fireworks by a few weeks. i wouldve rather delayed my trip to see that.

I read an article today that the avatar land is opening earlier than their original summer 2017 date. The article said in a "few short months". Does anyone know the new opening date? We are going this May 6th-13th. Hoping it's opened for when we are there!

Actually the boats just arrived on property. They have had a single boat available, but no the ride isn't in full test mode.

While currently sitting at the Nomad Lounge, I overheard my waitress telling another family that their managers got to walk through what they have a Pandora, and she said that it is currently "ahead of schedule." Not sure what that means. Maybe an early summer opening?

If February is the only "short" month of the year, it could take 3 years to have a few "short months".

It depends on what the definition of the word "is" is.
