I agree. I was not at all impressed by these 'deals.' For RO, the choices were very minimal - usually only the most expensive room type offered (as in CL) and I happened to log in and start checking at 7:02 EST! In fact, a LOT of the room prices were considerably MORE expensive than yesterday when i was checking with no 'deal.'
i did end up getting a BWI standard for a decent price, but I had hopes in my head of POFQ or CSR at a much better price but neither of them was offered.

So bummed! We check in on June 10th. Need a RO discount that goes through June 17th. Now, I'm worried everyone will take advantage of the Free Dining and by the time they release RO or passholder rates for my dates that all the rooms will be booked.

If it makes you feel any better, there weren't many deluxe choices offeed to begin with. Maybe they will open some more things up. Pretty good rate available for AKL (but it is not our favorite) I got a decent rate at BWI. I did not see many others that were any better than the rack rate I already had booked at YC

We have GF booked for June 1- 8 using a unique offer code but I was hoping for a slightly better deal. No deal! I couldn't figure out why the 20% off GF rooms + 1 extra day of a ticket if you purchase 4 wasn't a better deal than the 20% off GF rooms that I already had. So I called. Turns out the room discount announced today was only for weekdays (though perhaps only for our room type or resort or something). The discount would cost me $600 more.

It always amazes me that the call center staff at DW sound surprised and unaware of the announced discounts. For as much as those of us not paid to know the deals ponder upcoming and announced discounts one would think the people paid to sell rooms and packages would know a little bit more.

I have All Star Movies booked in June. The dining part could be applied to our reservation. If I add this offer and a better offer comes out- can I switch offers on my package? I'd rather a regular discount like in years past as I believe it would save us more.

Yes you can change discounts as long as there is availability.

Are you going later in June? Last year they released a room only fir later June in March. So look for that!

Yes- our check in date is June 12. If it is room only- can they apply that to a package- assuming they will only discount the room portion? Or do you have to have separate room and tickets?

I would think you can apply it to the room portion but I'm not 100% certain. We had a "package" last year bc we had ressies and dining plan but no tickets and we were able to use the room only discount, but I haven't had a package with tix in a few years bc I get mine from a discounted ticket broker.

We thought the percentage on this discount was low. In the past hasn't it been 30-35% off for deluxe rooms? We are going to look at changing our week in hopes that the summer discount is better. Just worried now because all of our reservations for meals were ready to go.

You're right. We went in January 2014 and had an insanely low rate for CR. The "slow" season would get a hefty price reduction to fill rooms but this year January maxed out at 25% off. Also, bounce back discounts have always been higher than others, and it's only at 30%. I wouldn't count on better discounts, later.

Yes last year it was 35% with a Disney VISA and 30% general public for deluxe. I hope it works out to change weeks but have you checked on the other discounts from this year to see if in general they are offering less across the board? I haven't kept up with it but you can look on the mouse savers site if you want to know before you change everything.
