I thought there was only one restroom on Discovery Island. On the right as you come out of the Oasis and enter into Discovery Island. Just before the Flame Tree Barbecue.
Sorry about your weather down there. Seems like you are always having weather problems. You've got Diane beat for the horrible weather award hands down. Poor dogs and no collars.
It's so strange..."horrible weather award" when Diane has to deal with snow and ice well into the spring. I'll just say we seem to get the SPRING "horrible weather". It's natures cycle; some of the news reports are reminding us all of the terrible drought just a few short years ago and now areas are getting HALF of their annual rainfall in 24 hours! Nature is strange; I know how desperately the State of Washington could use some of this moisture. There are people being evacuated that have never had water in their homes ever. DH and his "magic numbers game" (he learns all that stuff getting his inspection certificates) calculates that during a 20" rainfall period every 5 acres gets covered with 2,700,00 million gallons of water. Hard to imagine, isn't it? Crews have been out all day rescuing people and animals. Yesterday they used a boat in the Chappell Hill area to rescue 165 head of cattle who were struggling to keep their heads above water as they were herded to dry land. Two ladies reported (and this just "turns my stomach" ) seeing a cow hanging up in a tree with his leg entangled in the brush/branches of the tree. And there are SO many posts on Facebook with lost & found dogs. To make matters worse, our animal shelter was destroyed in the flood a few weeks ago. We have some pretty special volunteers in our County, risking their own lives to help with rescue.
There are 3 restroom areas on Discovery Island; this is from one of the other two.
