Did you have the maple frosted cupcake with candied bacon in top? I saw pictures of it on the Disney Food Blog and it looks heavenly! I love the combination of bacon and maple. Nothing like some delicious pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for breakfast!

Following along as well. Glad your having a wonderful time and I can't wait to read some of your reviews and see pics!

We did have the "piggylicious" cupcake! The frosting was so maple-y and the crushed pretzels on top gave it a great salt contrast to the uber sweet frosting. The cake itself was ok, but paired with that heavenly frosting....it worked.

Today is DHS day! I am pretty tired, but tomorrow is a "no park day" for us, so I will muster through today for the kiddos! We have a lunch planned at Sci Fi in a few hours and I'm really looking forward to it:). My sister and niece are really going to love it too...they are huge movie buffs...plus my sister and I used to go to the drive in a lot when we were younger:). Who knows what a late dinner will bring???? But I know I will be having one thing for sure....a butterfinger cupcake:cloud9:

First off.. WAY TO GO!! Congratulations on beating your battle with cancer. You deserve every moment of this wonderful vacation. It sounds like you're truly enjoying yourself.

I can't wait to read all about your trip and to see pictures.. Going to get me even more excited for my stay in September. Have an amazing time!

DHS was weird yesterday, but still fun! Highlight was the Maleficent movie sneak preview!!! Being a die hard Maleficent fan since I was a little girl...I was almost Peeing my pants with excitement lol! The movie is really going to be amazing....come on May 30th!!! ToT and RnR kept having "technical difficulties all day, but by late evening all was well!

Out lunch at Sci Fi was really good, with the exception of the icky chocolate milkshake DM got. I tried it, DD11 tried it, and even my chocoholic sister tried it and it got a :ick: from all of us! The standout was the vegetarian Shepards pie.....holy moly threat was delicious! And the hand down best onion rings in WDW have been found here as well! Extra bonus was REAL cherry cokes:cloud9:

I missed out on my butterfinger cupcake yet again:(. I was so bummed when I got to Starring Rolls and they were closed already, and it was only 4pm!!! Anyone know of anywhere else this delectable treat can be found???

Dinner was room service at the resort (SOG) and we all agreed it was the best room service we ever had! Surprised to say the least:)

Today is a "no park day" for us. We have our GF tea and our dinner at Cali Grill during Wishes tonight!!! Pool time finally today too! Ahhhh we are loving WDW !!!

Just finished our first meal ever at Boma.....holy cow was it delicious!!!! The hype is real everyone!!!! Book your Boma breakfast now!!!!:woohoo:

Glad you liked it! We went to Boma breakfast on our last trip. I fell in love with their scrambled eggs & spinach with goat cheese. I make those all the time at home since that trip. What a tasty combination! Also love their pastries and their juice!

::yes::ditto

It is being shown at Hollywood Studios and it is to the left of the American Idol Experience.

We went to the Grand Floridian a little early to check the shops before we had our GF Tea. Well, DD11 got sick in one of the shops:sad1: She got some in her hair so my DM took her to the restroom to wash out her hair the best she could while I went in search of a comb. The salon on the 2nd floor was empty so I explained to the CM what happened and asked for a comb. She replied, "please bring her in here and I will wash her hair and comb it out for her!" How sweet!!!! We brought her over and the CM, Jennifer, washed her hair twice, conditioned it, then did a braided bun updo and gave her pixie dust in her hair!:upsidedow I asked her how much and she said nothing! Of course I gave her a generous tip and thanked her profusely! That was just the sweetest thing anyone could have done for my little one.

DD said she was feeling better, so we went ahead and checked in to our ADR for Afternoon Tea. We ordered, and DD got just PB sandwiches and some hot tea to hopefully settle her tummy. Well, one sip and 2 bites and up it all came:sad2: The CM's handled it wonderfully! The manager, Chris, got us a free cab back to SOG and everything. DD is sleeping next to me as I type this.

Hopefully she will feel better for our Cali Grill dinner tonight???:confused3

Oh dear, keeping my fingers crossed for your DD. How nice of the GF staff but no fun to be sick in public.

Aww, poor kid. No fun to be sick on vacation, but it's nice to hear that the CMs were so good in a crisis. Hope she feels better soon!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about your DD bring sick. My son, who was 5 at the time, got sick on our last WDW vacation. But it was at night in the villa as we were getting ready to watch some of the Epcot fireworks from our balcony (at BWV). Throwing up is the one thing I don't deal with well at all when it comes to my kids, and that's putting it mildly. I actually have a phobia if throwing up. Nothing else bothers me to take care of them, but when it comes to that, DH is wonderful and always steps in. We had plans to go to Epcot the next day. We didn't give him anything that night to eat because it was bedtime anyway. In the morning I walked over to the Dolphin resort at 6am (boardwalk bakery opens at 6:30 and I didn't want to wait). I got him a plain bagel and some bananas to keep in the room, along with a small box of saltines and some pretzels so he could have snacks that wouldn't hurt his tummy. DH and I decided we would see how he is in the morning, and determine whether or not to go to the park. He was awake before I got back to the room, and I offered him half a bagel. He ate half of that, and we put the rest away. He drank some powerade and some water. We waited a little bit and he was fine, he said he felt fine and everything. We did go to Epcot but we took it easy and we left right after lunch. He was fine. At Chefs de France they were so nice. I ordered him plain pasta and was fully prepared to pay the full kids meal price, even though we didn't get him the chicken that came with it. They just charged us for a side of pasta, a little under $3. He napped in the afternoon and we went back to Epcot for dinner at Via Napoli. I still didn't want to give him dairy, so he had plain pasta with a side of meatballs. He ate it and was fine.

The rest of the trip (we had a week left) was great. It was like he was never sick. And none of us caught it from him, which I was worried about as well. Then a week later, when we hit the road to go home, he got sick in the car and was sick the whole way home. I was in touch with the pediatrician and he said no food for about 8 hours after he last got sick. I was waiting only about an hour for liquid, and only 3 hours for a little food like a piece of bread or a cracker. We waited a whole day, he was just drinking Gatorade and was fine after that and we gave him a small piece of toast in the morning, he was so hungry. That came up within 15 minutes. We went home from Virginia that day instead of the following day. I was so worried. No signs of dehydration though, thank goodness. When we got home that evening, it had been 11 hours since he was last sick. I gave him a little rice and chicken broth and he was fine that might. I brought him to the doctor the next day and he said it was back to back viruses.

I hope your DD feels better. Just take it easy on food for a little bit, and she should be fine!

So sorry he had to go thru all that!!!

Well thank goodness DD11 felt better after a nap! I think she rode too much at DHS the day before!!! We went swimming for a bit and then got ready for our dinner at Cali Grill:woohoo: all I can say is hands down best meal at WDW thus far:worship: it is a very close 2nd to my and DH's V&A meal in 2011. The view was gorgeous and we had a great view of Wishes. I cannot wait to go back with DH this Christmas!!!

Tomorrow is a morning in AK, and the afternoon/night at MK. We moved our Crystal Palace breakfast to a lunch as well!

I have never eaten at Kouzzina, but I agree that Olivia's is outstanding. Glad you switched your ressie.
