Hurry Up, You Brats, or I'm Telling Mickey Mouse! An August 2013 TR THE END 1/18

Isn't it great to have the freedom to take as many photos as you want without the fear of holding any one up??

And how great that you got to meet up with a friend... and DCP no less.

OK Courtney, you mentioned your friend Katie works in outdoor foods at DHS. By any chance does she ever work at "Rosie's All American Cafe" on Sunset? And if so, by any chance was she working there the evening of December 5? I know it's a long shot, but it could make a pretty amazing story if so.

Sounds like you had a great time in the Magic Kingdom. Sometimes it is nice to have some "quiet" time in the parks by yourself. When my husband rides the thrill rides I cannot ride, I enjoy wandering around by myself. I take pictures, look in the shops, people watch, etc. Good times!

How great to be able to hook up with your friend . That waffle looks amazing. I think Danielle and I will have to have one on our January trip for sure. MMM Nutella.... So good. I am jumping over to your new thread to read about you last trip.

I loved it! I love vacationing with my family but I can definitely see the appeal in solo trips.

Katie does not work there! That would have been amazing if you ran into her, though.

I did! It is really nice to just take it slow, snap some pictures, and relax. I enjoyed it :thumbsup2

It was so nice seeing her!

That waffle was phenomenal. I am a huge Nutella fan :thumbsup2

Thanks for checking out the new TR!!

Fell behind on your TR but all caught up now. Of course I am going to be hopping over to your new one as soon as I finish this post and then I will be all caught up. :)

I love your plank picture on the monorail. Very cute and the first time I have ever seen anyone do that. :thumbsup2

I have never had a chance to meet Peter Pan or Wendy. I have always wanted to meet Peter Pan, maybe this trip I will get my chance. How cute that the little girl brought his shadow to him. :)

Great pictures at Discovery Cove. I would not have been able to do the helmet dive as I am claustraphobic as well. I am not much of a water person and although I love to watch Dolphins and Whales in shows I don't know that I would ever be able to get in the water with them. I have actually run out of the water when a Dolphin got to close to me while visiting friends in FL. Yes, crazy I know. :)

Anyway love your TR and looking forward to all the new updates in both of them. :)

Merry Christmas!!!! :santa:

From our family to yours!

I know I am far behind on your report; however, you are always in my prayers.

So glad you got to meet up with Katie. I am finally letting go - 20 years old and I actually dropped you off and let you go by yourself haha. Although that dropoff area was a little sketchy, I would recommend the Poly or Contemporary as an alternative.

Glad you finally got your Nutella waffle, you learned about that ages ago and couldn't wait to try it.

Love the Rapunzel lanterns lit up at night!

Opened your TR on a whim and read through the whole thing! Everyone on DIS is great, but I love finding people my age who travel the World often!

Subbing in to read the rest!

Yay! Thank you for catching up :) I am so excited that your trip is coming up soon! Will you be doing a TR? You'll have to let me know if you do so I can check it out!

Hahaha I love having wacky moments on the monorail!

Peter Pan is always a fun one to meet! He is one of my sister's favorites so it is great to see how she lights up when she meets him.

No, I understand completely, swimming isn't for everyone! Honestly DC was the first time I had swam in months. SeaWorld is really good for animal shows.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! It's almost time for Disney!

Aw Judy, I appreciate your prayers and friendship so much. I was telling my mom about your past trips and how we became friends last night. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Haha I am so happy you let me spread my wings. It'll be easier in July when we have access to Disney transportation. I can sneak off and get some Tonga Toast!

That was probably my favorite thing that I ate on this trip. Five stars.

That area was SO beautiful at night!

I just read through your entire TR! Excellent!

Welcome!! Thank you so much for joining in and reading :)

Hi Emily! Thank you SO much for joining in! I agree, it's awesome to meet other people my age who love Disney. I'm going to go over and check out your PTR after I update!

Chapter Thirty-Seven: The Most Fantastic, Magical Things Can Happen…

Then, we joined the mob heading over to Main Street. It was so chaotic, but we got a decent spot close to the castle for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes! This was the first time Katie had seen Wishes since she started her DCP, so it was definitely emotional for her. She made a wish to work at Disney and it came true. I couldn’t be more proud and I hope to do the same thing someday!

I actually took a lot of pictures on my phone:

Few things in this life make me as emotional as the "I See the Light" segment of Celebrate the Magic.

My favorite picture of the night:

They're shining deep down inside of you.
'Cause that, my friends, is where the magic lives!"

Then I said goodbye to Katie. I’m hoping she works a churro stand and I get to buy a churro from her over Thanksgiving! [SIDE NOTE: I didn’t buy a churro from her, but I did get to meet up with her! Go check out my other TR and see us hanging out at the Osborne Lights. /shameless plug] I rode the monorail over to the Poly, where my mom was waiting.

LOOK AT ALL MY FRIENDS WITH ME ON THE MONORAIL:

I need to talk more about the Polynesian right now. This trip made me realize that the Polynesian is my place of peace. All of Disney is my happy place, but there are times in the parks where things get too crowded and chaotic for me. The Poly is different, though. The calm I feel there is unlike anything I’ve ever felt in my life. The rush of the waterfalls, the darkness and greenery, all of it just makes me feel so relaxed and at home. I really, really hope to stay there someday. Financially it’s not possible right now, but my sister and I both have dreams of working for Disney, so if we can get a good discount I NEED to stay there. It’s just amazing.

Mom and I drove back to the hotel and I had SO MUCH ENERGY. I had experienced all my favorite Disney things, MSEP and Wishes and the Poly, in one night so I was on a high! I had to go to bed though, we had another early morning tomorrow!

Continued in next post

Perfect timing for another update!

I literally love Wishes. I listen to the soundtrack so often that I know it pretty much by heart. Caitlin and I actually enjoying singing it/reenacting it with hand gestures to each other which makes us look crazy, but whatever... :rotfl2:

All your pictures are so pretty! I only have a point and shoot so I usually don't bother trying to get firework pictures. I end up with more all black, or blurry pictures than anything else. :confused3

I'm actually really glad for your 'shameless plug' because now I'm go bump over and start reading that too! :goodvibes

Um so yeah, so I just posted this comment on your other TR like a dope... but I fixed it so all is well again. :goodvibes
So now lets try that again...

AHHH COURTNEY...Wishes... Just tears. Lots and lots of Tears! OMG. I loved how you added the dialog. That is my happy place right there at Wishes O'Clock. :lovestruc

Deer Face what WHAT!!

I want to stay at the Poly some day too Courtney!!! And hey, maybe you can pass along that discount to some interested parties if/when you are a CM. Just sayin'. The CM discount is MASSIVE from what I've been told!!!

Wow, I can't believe how great those pictures came out on your phone! My Celebrate the Magic pictures did not come out that good. And I LOVE that show.

I was glad I picked you up at the Poly. I did get to see Wishes from the sketchy drop-off lot but I was glad you did not have to walk all the way back there alone. Plus I did like waiting around the Poly lobby for you to arrive. It is a very calming place.

Loved these last 2 updates! Solo time in MK is the best, especially when it falls in the middle of an otherwise chaotic trip. It's so nice to be able to do just what you want to do for a little while, even if that is just taking a million pictures of the Castle!

Great Wishes photos. Best fireworks EVER.

Hi Emily! Wishes is my absolute favorite Disney experience. I listen to the soundtrack all the time, which unfortunately has gotten me emotional at work before, but it's fine :rotfl:

Thank you! My point and shoot is terrible with dark photos, but my iPhone actually isn't too bad!

Hi Rob! Wishes O'Clock is easily the best time of any day. Like, I'm looking at my July trip schedule and figuring out how many times I can see Wishes. FAVORITE FOREVER.

Deer Face Nation!

The Poly is the DREAM. I will definitely help a Canadian brother out if/when I become a CM, don't you worry about it :goodvibes

Thanks Mom! Maybe you should get an iPhone and you too can take snazzy Celebrate the Magic photos...:rolleyes1

I definitely preferred meeting at the Poly. The drop off lot was a little iffy at night, and I wasn't looking forward to all the cab drivers hassling me.

Thanks so much! The alone time was very relaxing and fun. I loved being able to snap some pictures and enjoy a snack.

Wishes is everything. I love it so so much!

Great update, Courtney! How nice that you got to see Wishes with Katie! I haven't actually watched Wishes in several years....since 2007, I think!? We usually watch Hallowishes instead since we're always there for the Halloween Party!

That empty monorail looks so inviting! And I totally agree with you about The Poly! I feel the same way about AKL and even CSR. Walking around CSR at night is just so peaceful! :lovestruc

It was TRULY blessed!

Your mama raised a great daughter!! I  you and value your friendship. :flower3:

Hi Ali! Thanks!! I have never seen Hallowishes but I have only heard amazing things...I'll get there someday!

I loved having the monorail to myself. I could just recite along with the spiel and enjoy time in Disney! YES. We stayed at CSR a few years ago and it is a beautiful place!

Thank you so much, Judy :goodvibes Happy New Year to you as well! It's DISNEY MONTH for you!!

Oh wow! Great photos of Wishes Courtney but even better was the sentimental notes you added. I agree, it's just so magical! :goodvibes

I suspect you waited at least a little bit before riding the monorail to the Poly otherwise I imagine your monorail car would have been a little more crowded. :crowded:

BTW: Judy had the perfect Happy New Year image to match your last update!

Wishing you all the best this New Year!
