The CMs usually have fun at my expense. I'm always so quiet and reserved.............don't know why that always seems to happen.Checking in to see if there is anything new.

Leave it to Dan to be so perceptive! You would think he possesses some sort of inside information.............or an update in this very spot pat, at least it would be almost to the top of the page.

Chapter 9 MNSSHP (Arrival)
After Jonathan and I got back to our hotel from DHS we rested up a little, then got ready to head out to MK for the evening. Early in the trip I had gotten our MNSSHP tickets and we were meeting Katharina and Magdalene for our final park together before we had to head back home. We weren't meeting them until later in the evening, but we wanted to get there ahead of the crowds, before the park closed to the regular guests so we could maximize our "party" time.
As I drove in, Jonathan was busy taking pictures along the way. Even though not Halloween nor MK related we both thought this sign for Mission Space was interesting.
And then the first inkling of where we were actually headed. I love the way Disney does such a thorough job of theming everything.
Jonathan and I weren't overly worried about dressing up for the party and neither were most of the people we saw, but it became obvious very quickly that there were a lot of people who really got into it. As we parked the car we saw our first example and Jonathan said we just HAD to get a picture of this one.
You can't really tell from these pictures, but the Mom was wearing a matching ketchup costume. I guess the kids got to choose their own theme, regardless of what Mom and Dad were wearing. They all seemed to be in pajama type attire, but made up all pale and ghostly looking.
After our monorail ride I had to get the requisite picture to show we had arrived at the MK!
There is just something about the way Disney decorates the parks during the fall and Halloween season that I enjoy. It always seems like there is something new to discover and marvel over. I wanted to spend some time while there was still plenty of daylight and take plenty of pictures of the decorations.

You can see from some of the pictures that the crowd is split over whether to dress in "costume" or just come enjoy the event.
I really like this view and perspective of Cinderella's Castle!
Since this was a first for both of us, Jonathan and I weren't quite sure how we should attack the park and all of the offerings for MNSSHP. I wish I had spent some time up front reading up on what you should do to enjoy it the most, but sadly we walked into it totally blind. For a while we just wandered around and took in the sights, maybe because it still wasn't quite time yet for the party to officially begin.
We eventually made our way back here. Many of you will notice just how long ago I took these pictures based on how much more has been done since then. But still, it was interesting to explore what the future held for all of us when New Fantasyland is fully up and running.

It was almost the official start time for the party, and the CMs were gathering in their party attire.
Jonathan and I decided that if we just kept wandering around we weren't going to get anything done before time to meet up with Magdalene and Katharina. We decided to head to the back of the park and start there. We decided to wait until it got dark to enjoy HM, so we headed into Frontierland to one of our favorite MK rides.
There was still a little bit of daylight left, but not for much longer. Pretty soon the party would be in full swing and we would get to find out what it was all about.
So what would we do next?

I love Mk all dressed up for fall and in 7 days I will be doing just that.
I almost need a plan to follow or I wander, and yes I think I did the same thing when I went to the party a couple of years ago. Last Time I went I was with Mary Ellen and Cynthia so we had a plan but the time before I was wandering.
Looking forward to the next one but I have a feeling I may be waiting a while.

Great Update Marv !!! So I know I wont miss anything while I am in Disney as that is only a week away and by my reckoning it will be Christmas before the next update !!!!

LOVE the photos. Marv! MK is at it's best all dressed up for Fall. Have been fortunate to be there late October twice, but that was years ago. Have attended the Christmas Party a few times, and will again in December...nothing like being at WDW when it is all decked out for the holidays!
MNSSHP is my favorite...never thought it could be so much fun to Treat or a Treat as an adult.
