Will the phones be better tomorrow? I need to cancel my RO. I am double booked now, and MDE shows both ressies. They won't randomly cancel out one will they??? I think they used to do that with dining ressies if you made 2 at the same time...now they won't let u make 2 at the same time.

You put money down. I don't think they can do that if you made a deposit.

We switched from POFQ, which my kids LOVE, to CBR. When I told my kids we would be switching, they were disappointed. I tried to talk up the fun music around CBR, how fun it will be to try something new & hey, we're still in Disney! Still sad faces. Then my DS asked if CBR has a pool slide, so I pulled up some resort pics and, just like that, they can't stop talking about how excited they are to go to CBR. Hope that will help/work for you, too!

Your kids will LOVE the feature pool at CBR!! I think it's the best one at any of the moderates.

I was able to stay at POP & my ADR's were done back in April. Did you get what you wanted?

Ok, so my TA finally got back to me around 9:30 and said she was still on hold and planned on hanging in for the duration. Is that even possible??

Finally got through! Only MOD that was left was CBR.... Had my heart set on POR but hey, at least it's Disney. However, she did tell me go maybe keep checking every day and maybe I could change resorts. She said that when she went into work at 8 AM, Riverside was already sold out. :/

Did anyone get through tonight? just got in late and trying to beat the 10:00 PM for East Coast.
Probably won't do me any good. Already using a bounceback from January for our October ressie. I included DP plus each one of us (9) had to purchase a one day pass in order to get dining. ( even though some of us are AP holders. ) I just want to know if bounceback offer out weighs free dining.
I already know I can't have both! but I would love to get rid of base ticket thing. We are two bdrm villa LV at BLT so I am not going to push my luck. Wish I could change to family suites somewhere and save some cash but fear nothing will be left. Good luck to everyone else!

Our 6th trip to DW will be in October, and I am just now discovering these threads. I woke up at 1:00 am to check things out online and realized that there were no discounts for us. Our hearts are set on a RR at POR 10/5-10/12...blacked out for FD and not included in room discounts (Well, technically, but the increase in tix makes that null and void). Even though I am the "coupon queen", I am still ok with this . We have the room we wanted, at the resort we wanted, and have all the ADRs that we wanted (including breakfast before MK opens at CRT, dinner at BOG on our first night, 'Ohana, Le Cellier ). Furthermore, I knew this at 1:00 am without having to sit on the phone for hours to be told that (that would have been a bummer!)
We went to Disney in Oct. 2010. My dad was hoping to come with us, but he passed away of lung cancer before our trip. We wore pins with his picture so he could still come with us . Our next trip was Dec. 2011. The day after we came home (12/23), our 14 year old cat had a stroke and we had to put him to sleep...and bury him Christmas Eve . So, there are bigger things to worry about in life. We're hoping for a HAPPY trip to Disney this year...no FD, no room discounts...we're still happy (even for a cheapskate like me ).
So...congrats to everyone who got discounts...celebrate and sleep good. For those who didn't...try to look at the cup as half full

Yes, as long we're in the call queue by 10pm EST, they will stay until the last TA has been taken care of, unless we're disconnected after 10pm. Could be a very long night for some TAs and call center CMs. Thankfully, I called the Earmarked line right at 7am this morning and only had a 2 hour 15 min. wait.

Did anyone get POR FD over Thanksgiving? At 5am there were no rooms. I am wondering if there were rooms at midnight or not. Just curious.

After rambling on, moaning and complaining and gettign some nasty pm's....my TA came through for me Sorry for being upset and discouraged and for those who sent me the nasty pm's..and you know who you are...I'm not sorry. She got me Nov 10 as room only with discount...183.00 and FD the 11 - 17. A whopping big savings of $1025.00!! Now holding on to hope that disney will let us stay in the same room when we check out on the 11th and check back in....
And we had a chat...I explained my frustration and she knew all about it and said it was fine...that she had hundreds of clients that she was busy with and she apologized for the lack of communications.

I know you've had a hard time today. Glad it all worked out! Don't forget to remind them at check in that you have another stay. Maybe they will be able to tell you if you can keep your room at that time. Just pack an overnight bag for the first night to make the move easier, if it comes to that. Best of luck and congrats.

I haven't been on the boards today, so I have fallen about 100 pages behind. I'm not even going to attempt to catch up for once.

I was just wondering what families of 5-6 decided to if you didn't get your resort of choice? We were going to do AoA, but that obviously didn't work out. It was expensive, but the resort is just, wow!

We considered AsMu suites or 2 rooms at POP, but I just felt it wasn't worth the money. We thought about staying offsite, too. Eventually we decided for as much as it costs now - going from POR to getting bumped out of that category - maybe we would just go every other year instead. If we change our minds, we'll stay offsite, but I don't think we will.

Still keeping our eyes open for future offers.... guess I'll have to obsess about something else for a while. By the time we get back, I have a better shot of my youngest being 40 inches though!
