Unfortunately, no. Here is the story as revealed on my current TR:

Well, I was going to hold off a day or two, but you all made me feel bad for keeping a secret, that I'm now going to share with you.

I have a friend on Facebook who posted she was doing a Mother/Daughter trip in February. I asked if I could be her "daughter" too. She informed me there was room and I could join. I said, "I don't think Mark would like it if I went on vacation without him; but then again...he's going to Vegas on business so....."

I got home and told Mark about this and he said to me, "go for it." Then the dates got changed to the last week of January and he said, "go with the girls and have fun." I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!

So I looked up airfare, got a great fare of $209 with tax, and I leave on January 26 and return home on January 31.

Oh....I suppose you want to know where I am going. I'm going to Disney World with Mary and Cayley and Avery!!!!!

I am so excited that I can't stand it. As it turns out, February 7 is the five year anniversary of my having successful breast cancer surgery and I wanted to do something to celebrate that I have remained cancer free. What better way than hanging with my good friend, Mary, and my adorable adopted "grandgirls"!

We are staying, as of now, at Saratoga Springs for three nights and then moving to BLT for the last two nights (this may change to Boardwalk and/or OKW).

Mary can fill you in on where we might eat. And Mary...just let me know what you need/want me to do. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me come and join you on your vacation. And you know I love you guys as this is the FIRST time in over 35 years that I will be getting on a plane by myself and I have NEVER flown in winter.
:scared1:

Excellent! I need to get back over to your TR - I miss all the good stuff. There's no better thing to celebrate than five years being cancer free - I didn't realize it had been that long. I love WDW in January, and coming from cold and snow in Illinois will make it that much sweeter!

I just checked mine for my Nov-Dec trip. The email they sent under Special Requests says: Ground Floor Not Guaranteed and just below that it says Special Request Cabanas 8A. I then went online to check and under Requests it just says: Ground Floor requested (nothing about wanting in the Cabanas).:confused3

I also have a reservation for POFQ in Feb. I checked it and it just says Requests: Ground Floor (nothing about wanting in Buildings 2 or 5).:confused3

That's exactly what i am wondering. I didnt get any e-mail or anything. I also made a payment and did not receive the payment e-mail, but its listed on the site. I thought i remember when I stayed at the contemporary resrot it had everything listed. Oh well...

At least I know I'm not the only one questioning this.

Anyone have any tips for staying at CSR during Christmas week? How are the Christmas decorations? Is there a Christmas feel?

Almost at 30 days! I was wondering if the rooms had ipod docks. I know some hotels we have been to have them, and I didn't pay attention last trip, as I didn't need one. But now DS has ipod touch, and I wanted to check so I know if I need to pack his or an adaptor. TIA!

Hi all,

We just decided that we're going from 3-4 to 3-10! We're planning to stay at CSR and want to know the best building for our daily plans. We'll probably eat bfast at the resort each morning and get right on a bus to the parks. We're planning on 1 pool day too for our DS6 and DD3. Should we spring for a preferred room or just take our chances requesting a certain building. Which building do you suggest?

TIA

We just got back from CSR and were in Casitas 4. We thought it was a great location. Right by Bus Stop 2 which was the first stop for buses coming in to pick up for/drop off from the parks. It was about a 5 minute walk to El Centro making it very convenient. Also the pool for the Casitas is located at this building and the Dig Site (main pool) is only about a 10 minute or so walk. We really liked this location and would request it again if we go back.

We will be there the same time as you. :cool1: We plan on eating breakfast in our rooms each morning and then head out to the parks. I plan on requesting Cabanas 8a to be near the Dig Site as DS6 loves the pool and playground.

We were there last Christmas and are going again this year! The lobby and food court area are all done up with Christmas decorations. The rest of the resort isn't, but a handful of people had their rooms decorated inside and out. My wife wants decorate ours this year since we will be there for a full 2 weeks.:santa:

Only 36 days til we leave for WDW! This family needs a little TLC.
I had my second son 4 mo ago and while I was on maternity leave my mother passed away very unexpectedly. She was the glue that held our family together and of course she was coming on the trip with us, too. I thought about canceling, but I think we all need a little magic in our lives right now. I'm hoping this trip will help us all to heal. It's wonderful to hear all the good stories and see how much fun everyone is having. Keep the updates (and pics) coming!

First, congratulations on the new baby, and secondly, I send my sympathy on the loss of your mother. I think you made the right decision to go on your trip. I lost my dad in 2008 a week before Mark and I were going on our 25th wedding anniversary trip. I wanted to cancel as I was in such pain, but my dad had told us before he couldn't speak anymore, that he wanted us to go no matter what. He said life is about the family that you have and the memories you make together. I won't lie; it was painful walking into Epcot (my dad's favorite park) and I cried on Spaceship Earth (his favorite ride). But we also had a lot of smiles and laughter remembering the trip that dad took with us and I now give a balloon to a child each trip in honor of my dad who used to buy them for the boys wherever we went. It will be bittersweet, but it will also be good for you.

It worked well a few times when we were there. Most of the time it only blinked red. The life guard told me last Saturday that it wasn't there 3 days before when he worked last. So it's been there just over a week now.

No. There are no iPod docks at CSR that I saw.

Glad to hear almost everyone has had a great time. :thumbsup2

Has anyone had the chance to take pics of the grocery items at CSR? Still debating about doing the grocery service or just purchase things at the resort. TIA

Actually, I got most of them when I was there about a month ago, I think I missed 2 pieces though. At any rate, they're all on the following page of my gallery (easier than linking all the individual pictures)

We'll be at the Poly for part of our trip and CSR for the other part. Is this just a testing period? When does it end? Unfortunately, during our trip, I'll have to post grades. We do have a hot spot but I would rather use something that is free.

I'm really excited to try out CSR. :goodvibes
