It was the wrong time of the....ooooh never mind. No seriously, meeting Pat was actually my first Dis meet, I was a Dismeet virgin before that. (can you say that on the DIS? ) I was so glad to have met her, I felt horrible to just pick her up on the fly like I did, but I knew all would be good as she came bouncing out of the hotel almost like Tigger with a huge grin on her face, hops in the van, we did a sideways hug and took off! It was instant Dis sisterhood in it's finest. Then I took her off to my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant and proceeded to get a little sloshed! In Austin they skimp on the tequila, I forgot where I was! (only lived there for five years and still forgot how well they like their booze in San Anton) I'm a total light weight so I was just happy Pat was okay with us hanging for a long while to let the booze wear off! She hooked me up for a later date though, that beautiful bottle of wine she was given by the hotel for changing all around....yeah she gave it to me. I still don't think I've drank it, not sure why that is. <scratching head>

Oh yeah the wine. I just knew I wasn't going to drink it but if I did I might be bad news ( wine gives me bad headaches and after a bad experience many years ago, i just can't bring myself to try it again)

I had a balst and am forever grateful that you "kidnapped" me.

I thought it was hilarious that you realized it was me because of the pink, princess, Minnie-head, antenna ball on my van! As stated above, it alllll worked out perfectly. We had the best time, and for the record folks....she's just as energetic in person, as her TR's are!! This woman is full of life, giving, energy!! She wore me out just talking about her trip so far, and she still had her second leg of her trip to come!
I hope you have the most magical time on your trip, you sooooo deserve this time away. I pray for a better work year when you come back, I pray safety on your travels and I pray for your new year at work to be a fruitful, peace filled, satisfying year.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am at the airport in Greenville SC ( SW flight, had to drive further) Interestingly enough I am flying out of gate A3 which was the gate I took so many flights out of Charlotte at.

But you said you were ready to go home this time, right? You had been gone a while and had really been on the go. And without your family - that makes all the difference! I guess that would make it less sad to leave. I've never stayed long enough yet that I was ready to go home. I know the number is at least more than 11 days for me. Maybe I'll go for a full two weeks sometime and see if 14 is the number.

Truthfully, I will probably never know.

I usually am not ready but after a trip in July, one in early Sept and then coming home and leaving again 3 weeks later for 2 weeks, I was ready.


I am sure I will be sad when I leave this time, havinghte NYE trip and now DVC helps a lot.

I so wish I had caught up on your TR last night because I am now in the no picture zone of work. But the bus drive story is pretty darn funny. I love fun bus drivers. Makes the trip a ride all its own!

Especially that ride to DTD!! Oscar was fun. I was scribbling notes as fast as I could because he was pushing buttons for different announcements in quick succession.

Have a wonderful F&W trip - take lots of pictures and buy lots of stuff - as SOON as you see it! No procrastination this trip!

I will, I will. Having 2 big gift cards takes the sting out the bill a bit. I am trying to save one to see if I can do a "FREE" trip. Using points for airfare, DVC and gift cards I am trying to see if I can do without any direct out of pocket expense.
Flying SW I have 1 light bag and some room in the other. Plenty of room to take home goodies.

I think that is why I have done little planning for this trip. I know what I want/need to do this trip but I am being a litte laid back and will not mind a detour if needed. Leaving some surprises are good.

I usually don't log on during the weekends, and I think I missed half of your trip!

So I have to admit I've never tried getting to DHS and AK from the TTC. Sounds like that might actually be a good time-saver in the future.

Your bus driver to TL and DTD sounds awesome. I love it when you get a fun one!

I am AK waiting for the safari. Apparently there are animals on the tracks. Nothing had moved for a while but I am seeing trucks move now. Other than this there have been no kinks. It is hot but Is supposed to cool down a bit for the run on Sat.

After the show, I noticed I had a call. Kristin’s friends were not going to go the pre-paid dessert party she had booked. Since they were already paying for it, whether they used it or not, she invited Maroo and Me to meet up to use the tickets.

NICE! The treasure hunt looked like a blast!!

The other interesting thing at the convention center was the toilets. Yes I know I am back in the bathroom again.
They had two ways to flush – up for less water needed or #1 as the sticker puts it and down for #2.

Wow! It actually says #1 and #2!

Your conference looks like it was a lot of fun. I visited San Antonio when I was in high school and really enjoyed it. I don't remember the river walk being that narrow (just goes to show you what a high schooler sees and doesn't see! LOL)

I am up and ready for the race. I actually get a little sleep. Staying up was not an option I did call it an early night last night due to

4 parks today to catch up on some things I missed. 3 down 1 to go and then back to dhs for EMH. Ed was nice enough to give me some FP and some special treatmen.
