Disney Confessions

My Disney confessions:

-I enjoyed my 2 day solo trip more than I did my kids first trip. The trip with my kids was a blast, and my boys were very well behaved (no meltdowns), but there's nothing like a solo trip!
-I think the makeovers from BBB are tacky.
-The only good things about DHS is RnR and the Cars meet and greet.
-I think parades and most shows are a waste of time. I'd rather ride the rides.
-I can't go to Disney without getting a Mickey ice cream bar.
-Dole whips sound gross to me.
-After 35? years I'm still fascinated by the CR. We stayed there in the 70's when it first opened and to this day I think it is the neatest thing that the monorail goes through it.

OK, no flames right? I saved a table at Cosmic Ray's while DH went in 2 different lines (for two diff entres), then we ate very slowly so we could rest for about an hour in air conditioning watching Sonny Eclipse.

Then, when we were ready to go, we purposely gave the table to a young mom with lots of kids, even though / because a different woman who had been in the area longer but she kept giving me the stink eye so I felt the mom was more deserving.

And, I'm not sorry and I'd do it again.

I thought AKL was overrated.
I'm a 38 year old male, and I love the Kim Possible missions.
Don't tell my wife, but I've got a huge crush on the girl that played Belle at Akershus on our last trip.:lovestruc

like you read my mind except i'm 37.....

ok...one more...and this is a bad one.

The lady that plays belle caught me looking at her chest(ok...down her top)...she laughed at me and said..."well, aren't we a beast"

i think i turned 4 shades of red.

I'm sure that will get me banished to a 4 hour trip through "it's a small world" until i promise to be good again.

awes0me!!!

I admit I cry a little when I walk into Magic Kingdom. Don't know what it is and I get a little weepy when I hear the music from Wishes.

Good thread!:thumbsup2 Okay so here's my Disney confessions:

I can't stand Winnie the Pooh or any character from the 40 acre wood. Pooh's voice just grates on my nerves! However, I do like the ride and like bouncing with Tigger:confused3

Turkey legs are completely disgusting and barbaric. I hate the way they smell, look and taste. I tried a bite of one and spit it out!

I hate value resorts. I hate how big they are. I hate the theming. I hate the noise. I just hate them.....remember no flames!

I hate Astro Orbitor....too high and freaks me out!

I have never had a Dole Whip but might try one

I have never eaten at Chef Mickey's and don't want to

This has made my sides hurt.

Ok here it goes.

I don't remember the World of Motion

The Life pavilion was so-so and I don't miss it.
I know it is lame but I love Living with the Land.
I miss Rio del Teimpo and could ride it for hours.
In 11 trips I have never ridden the Astro-Orbiter. I am not afraid of heights but it makes me queezy.
I talk so much about our trip to make my wife nuts.
I too want a trip without children. And wife
I too would like to look down bells shirt too after hearing about it.
Last but not least I get choked up seeing the Castle or Spaceship Earth the first time I see it on the trip.

I have another confession:

I don't "get" Duffy. Why a bear? What's his role with the princesses and the fab 5? Why is he here? I'm so confused.

I have multiple confessions: (remember no flaming!)

1. I  EPCOT!!! I wish I could spend 3/4 of my trips there, in the WS specifically. That being said, I detest the Living Seas being taken over by Nemo. I liked the movie, but I miss the way it was. I also DETEST Ellen. Therefore, I no longer ride Universe of Energy, even for a nap. I turn the channel when she comes on my tv. She grates on my nerves.

2. I must ride the "Purple People Mover" (TTA) every trip. :upsidedow

3. I have never had a Dole Whip, but I want to try one.

4. I have never seen the Philharmonic or Fantasmic, and do not really care if I do or not. Fantasmic, specifically seems like a huge waste of an evening. I do not want to wait in line longer than the actual show.

5. If the standby time is more than 15-20 minutes, and I cannot get a Fastpass I just will not ride that particular ride. I have SeasonalAP, so I am not worried. I know a lot of guests do not have that option.

6. I have never been to any of the water parks, and do not plan on it either.

7. I do think HS is a waste of time, except for Star Tours, RNR, & TOT. I also have never had a good meal there. I would rather go to BC/YC and have lunch there or at my hotel food court.

8. There needs to be more than 1!! restaurant in the entire WDW resort that has age restrictions. I know kids are the main "target audience" but adults love it too. I would love to be able to enjoy a nice romantic dinner with DBF, at a Disney restaurant, that wasn't overrun by "little snowflakes" and the parents do not control them. I do not think all parents do this, but I have witnessed enough to know it happens. I also think it is not unreasonable to have those adult oriented restaurants be AFFORDABLE!! Not everone can afford a $250 dinner at V&A's. A restaurant similar to Le Cellier or Yachtsman, on the same price point as a 1 TS credit. I am not expecting the same quality or food because I understand you get what you pay for, but it would be nice to have at least 1 restaurant for us adults traveling kid-free to have a quiet & peacful meal. The Disney Cruise ships have them, why can't WDW have a few too. (((sorry for the rant)))

9. I love Tink and bought 2 shirts specifically for my trip in Sept. I did not grow up loving the princesses (was a tom boy), but I loved the fact Tink hung out with Peter Pan and the lost boys...... I know wierd right???

10. Final and last confession......... I really cannot stand some folks on the DISboards who are indignant, condescending, judgemental, and act as if they are morally superior when commenting on other peoples posts. Specifically if someone asks a genuine question. Instead of saying in a rude manner, maybe that is my impression, "Look at post one of this thread, it's there you must be too lazy to read." Geesus, maybe I just started on the boards and I really do not know the in's and out's of all things DISboards. When I first came on these boards I did it to find out info. I found out a lot for reading the rules or official posts, but also from asking questions. If I would have encountered those type of people early on in my DISboard floundering, I would have just quit and found another forum.
Or if someone asks a question and instead of just answering it, they repost over and over and over and over the "Rules". I can read the rules, but maybe the "rules" do not answer my question. Mostly this was about pool hopping, refillable mugs, parking. I understand we cannot encourage people to do it, and people are going to do it anyways, but some of these folks act as if they are the DIS police. I personally do not do those things because I would be horrifically embarrassed if I got caught and had a CM confront me. If it is that big of a deal and such an issue then report the "activity", then let the moderators deal with it. Whatever happened to if you do not have something nice to say, then keep your trap shut.
I know most people on the boards are nice people who are on here to have fun and discuss Disney because they love it, but some other folks are just so mean spirited and have left a bitter taste in my mouth. (SORRY FOR THE RANT, NEEDED TO GET THAT OUT!!)

I think this thread is hilarious. Love reading what everyone has to say ....

As for me ....

I don't like Soarin' - I don't see what all the excitement is about.

-OK, I hate a parade. I do. I cannot help it. My worst nightmare is getting caught in a Disney parade and trust me, once you do, there is NOT a way out! Disney ropes off a huge area for the parades and I have walked through masses of people and through gift shops thinking I have out-smarted Disney, only to find that I have once again wasted my time because there is absolutely NO WAY OUT!

-I am not a big fan of Animal Kingdom. It is my least favorite park. Once I have ridden Expedition Everest and maybe Dinosaur, I am done. And no, I am not at all impressed with Kilimanjaro Safaris. Not a thrill at all.

-Hollywood Studios really needs an expansion. I don't ride TOT because I don't like the free-falling experience, but I do think it is a neat ride for others. RnRC is fabulous! And I like Toy Story Mania, but the lines are insane. Hated Indana Jones Stunt Show.

Rant over! Ha

I think I'm the first to say this but I really don't care for the Food & Wine Festival, it's so crowded and most of the foods that I have sampled are not that good....sorry, I usually only go because my sister thinks it's a must do, I've already told her this year that she's on her own.

We have no interest whatsoever in MNSSH or whatever the acronym is. This will be our second time at Disney while it is going on and the thought never even occured to me to book it. It is an over priced trick or treat session. I dont get how the cost for it is justified:confused3

Last time we went to Disney we arrived at MK just in time for the Wishes show. We had intended on riding things while the crowds were watching and then catching the show another night when we would get good seats. We did our best to push through the crowds but just couldnt make it and ended up accidentally getting a great view right in front of the castle. I am pretty sure that people thought we were awful.

No Flames, right?
I'm super skinny mom of 2 who LOVES my body and Im disgusted by all the overweight people at Disney. I'm actually grossed out-especially big ones who use scooters because walking is too much effort and call themselves-Handicapped. I've written a letter to Disney and complained about how these so-called Hanicappers are just LAZY and dont need special treatment or "free dining", just a good diet and a trainer. I go to the gym EVERYDAY! If theres time for disney and HOURS planning on here, theres time to exercise! No more 1st in line for buses and fast lanes for rides with their WHOLE FAMILY!

I said it! Hate me.

-I really don't like Soarin
-I think the Hat at DHS should be moved
-I think DHS is overrated
-AK is my least fav. park

love soarin, TOT, Tiki Room
Always do Jungle Cruise hoping for a funny guide
Tired of swiss family tree house
Love all the lazy rivers
Love to watch people

Love the Epcot resorts...couldn't stay anywhere else!

REALLY don't like Stitch!

Like the Mickey hat at Hollywood Studios.:confused3

Didn't hate the Mickey wand on Spaceship Earth....

Okay, mine are pretty bad:

1. I'm not a fan of Mickey Mouse. :guilty:
2. I don't watch parades or fireworks.
3. MK is not a park I feel I need to visit repeatedly - once every couple of visits is enough.

Please don't hate me! :scared:
