Oh. That makes sense then. I've seen that thread a MILLION times and have never opened it because I "don't get the Vinylmation thing" and had no interest in it based upon the title. My loss not seeing that it was far more than that.

Hi guys,

Well I applied for a new job today. Actually it is an old job I used to have. Luckily it is within Verizon so that won't effect me going on the cruise, the new/old department has to honor any scheduled vacation. So wish me luck. Things where I am now are taking a turn so I decided I needed a change and the change presented itself on Friday. Fingers crossed.

I'm feeling sorry for myself. I wish I'd known about this mysterious Chicago event sooner. DH is now going to be out of town this weekend, so I could have run up there. <POUT>

Seriously, I think I just must have missed something. It's all good. I'll see some of you at Hershey and some of you in Indy.

Can you work something out or is it too late? At least you can make the other two

I am so jealous of all these meets coming up. We talked about trying to crash one of them but $ always seems to get in the way. Perhaps the lottery will pan out for us? (although we probably need to enter first before that can happen ).

I'm sorta in the same boat as you - hard to have to pass on these great DIS meets, but between the $$$ issue and the fact the both Dino & I have jobs that are crazy busy this time of year, it's just not posible to get away.

Not that I haven't pondered the drive all night - enjoy the meet - leave super early the next day to get home plan,
but then there is still the added expense of having to board 4 furbabies every time we go away. Their "vacations" can cost more than ours

Hey there Yeah, not actually left my desk yet so I'm safe for the time being Although I did go into the lab briefly to hear a cricket that seems to have moved in (I think we should call him Jiminy )

I hope Jessica settles in ok - what level of education is she going back into? I can imagine how hard it is once you've been away from that routine.

She is going to work on her bachelor's degree. She was one of those students who was just not ready for more school, needed to get out there and figure out for herself that she needed to do the school work in order to get employment that pays.

Sometimes it takes working for a while to realize that your Mom wasn't so dumb about the need to go to school.

I'm glad she has seen that an education can help - I took a year out between high school and university, it really helped me to focus when I got back to school and I got to do some fun stuff in the meantime!
