I'm so sad that it's almost over! These have been great reviews and at a nice quick pace. I also agree that you've persuaded me to try more drinks at Disney, especially at AK! Looking forward to your final post. :goodvibes

I love California Grill too!:love:

What a great experience you had there - despite the rushed service! CG is on our must do list every time.

I'm sad too that it's coming to an end. :sad2:

I love the sushi at California Grill. Snake in the Grass is a favorite, as is the Spicy Kazan Roll. I actually prefer nowadays to skip the entrees entirely and just have appetizers and soups for a meal, then get dessert if I feel like it.

Some entrees are better than others, though. I know the filet, the pork tenderloin and the scallops entrees all get high marks from people. I like the look of Karin's salmon better than yours. Must have been an off night. :rolleyes:

Thanks so much for sharing your delightful vacation with us. It was a pleasure to read.

What beautiful pictures of the castle and sunset :)

What a nice way to end your trip with a meal at California Grill! It's one of our (expensive) favorites :) I loved reading your reviews, Linda, thanks for sharing with us :goodvibes

Sorry to hear your dining reviews are coming to an end, I have really enjoyed them.

As for your California Grill experience, I have heard before that people have had similar problems with the pacing of the meal. We had the opposite service to you, very slow, sometimes to the point I wondered if our order had even registered. I also had an appetiser, Sonoma Goats Cheese Ravioli, that was swimming in sauce and although it was really nice, it would have been much better without the overload of sauce. We are giving California Grill another chance this year though as I hope it may have been an off night.

Thet carrot cake cookie looked divine in your other post, I think I need to make that a priority snack this year!

Thank you for sharing your dining reviews!!! Everything looked delicious, but I can't wait to try a cupcake!! :woohoo:

Thanks so much for posting this picture. You can really see that mine was swimming in liquid compared to yours :laughing: no problems though, it was still a wonderful evening

The sushi was really excellent and I like the sound of the Kazan Roll :thumbsup2 I agree with you, next time I think I would skip the entree and have appetizers, soups and salads

It was a great way to round off a wonderful vacation :cloud9:

I guess it is a difficult thing to manage the pacing of a meal as everyone has different opinions. On the whole though we really enjoyed our time at CG :thumbsup2

Go for a Red Velvet one .... just divine :worship:

[size=+1]Hello everyone :wave2:

I’m amazed that anyone is still reading this :laughing: but here goes for my very last day of Disney dining for 2010

Our flights back to the UK weren’t until early evening so after dropping our luggage off with the Virgin Atlantic ground crew at Downtown Disney we still had plenty of time to go exploring (and eating)

I hadn’t had my usual coffee and snack at our hotel that morning so by the time we had checked our baggage in I was in desperate need of caffeine :scared1:

DH really wanted cup of hot tea so we decided to walk over to Wolfgang Puck’s Express to get some drinks and a bite to eat

As usual DH wasn’t in the mood for breakfast so he happily sat and drank his tea while I enjoyed a strong coffee and one of these …….

Plain Toasted Bagel & Cream Cheese

I really like WPE, this was a great bagel and just what I wanted

One of the things that we had really enjoyed doing on this trip that we hadn’t done previously was exploring the various resorts, so with this in mind we decided to hop on the boat from Downtown Disney over to the Port Orleans Resorts and check them out :boat:

It was another beautiful day and it was a very enjoyable boat ride over to Port Orleans (great to see the Tree House Villas from the water)

We got off the boat at French Quarter and after wandering around for a while walked over to the Riverside Resort for a look around before jumping back on a boat to Downtown Disney

Once we were back on dry land we were both getting hungry so headed straight to the Earl Of Sandwich for lunch

I had enjoyed my veggie sandwich so much last time I found it hard to order anything else but after much deliberation we decided split these two instead

IMG_0678-1.jpg

The Caprese - sliced fresh mozzarella, roma tomatos, fresh basil and drizzled balsamic vinaigrette

IMG_0679-1.jpg

Tuna Melt - albacore tuna salad and Swiss cheese

DH had tried the Tuna Melt on our last visit here so he knew he would love it and the half I had was really good

We shared the Caprese as well and I loved the balsamic dressing as it really did enhance the overall flavour

Both were absolutely delicious. I can’t believe that we didn’t know about this place on our previous trips. It’s perfect for a light, tasty and good value lunch

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: out of popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

I also ordered a beer :thumbsup2

Amstel Light

Following our lunch we strolled around DTD and did some last minute shopping before agreeing that we had time for one more little treat before heading back to the airport

Ghirardelli Two Scoop Hot Fudge Sundae

Two spoons, sunshine and DH ………………….. total bliss :cloud9:

Hmm, your Caprese looks less balsamic-y than mine! I had two on my last trip and they were both swimming in the stuff, much akin to your salmon at CG! :rotfl:

I'm sorry that your reviews have come to an end, they've been fab! Looking forward to your final thoughts. :)

Ooh the balsamic dressing was delicious :thumbsup2 I can see that it would be a little over powering if they put too much on though

Earl of Sandwich's caprese sandwich looks delicious! I think I'll try that sandwich next time we go.

Can't beat that Ghirardelli sundae, I love their desserts! :lovestruc

Thank you for sharing your reviews, I've really enjoyed dining vicariously through your experiences! popcorn:: LOL! Sounds like you had an awesome vacation, thanks for inviting us along! :flower3:

[size=+1]Hello all :wave2:

It’s a historic day in the UK …………….. Millions of British Citizens are taking to the streets up and down the country in order to cast their vote in what is probably one of the closest elections in my lifetime

But wait ……….. there is another equally important set of results for us to consider on this momentous day ……………. Yes, that’s right, what was voted as the best dining experience by two over excited Brits at the end of an epic 14 night dining review :rotfl:

I think after all this hard work you deserve a break. Disney perhaps?
