Sorry about how long this is taking me, real-life is getting in the way bad this year! On the plus side we have now booked next years trip, so I need to start planning where to eat! Yey!! I need to get reading some food reviews again, I have been very slack!
On to our very last day. We had breakfast bright and early onboard the Magic, as we wanted to take advantage of a last, full day in the parks, so by the time we finally made it to MK we were starving. So starving that our first stop just had to be Main St Bakery!! We shared another one of the huge brownies, and a big scoop of creamy ice-cream. This was as good as the first (walnut) one so dense and rich and the ice-cream complimented it perfectly. I really recommend these brownies!
Lunch was back to our old favourite . . . Beaches and Cream. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table to open up this time. I couldnt choose between the chilli cheese dog or the cheese burger, so decided we should order one of each and have half each. Tony reeeeeally wanted a burger and STILL hasnt forgiven me for making him sacrifice half of his ! And to be fair he was right I could still taste the chilli half way into the flight home!!!!! Not a good meal when you are going to be separated from your toothbrush for another 15 hours!!!!
So we ordered double cheese burger and a chilli cheese dog, both with fries. They were both as good as ever. The burger was moist and juicy, and the hot dog was absolutely top-heavy with chilli and cheese (as you know I never mark a place down on giving me too much!!). Although I wish we had got a burger each this was still a great last meal, and we gave it 9/10 each. We will definitely return again and again!
But wait, I hear you ask, what about dessert?! Well we fell so in love with Ghirardellis this trip that we decided to head there again! Now Im home and dreaming of the No Way Hose I am wondering what exactly possessed me, but at the time it seemed a good idea! So we headed off and both ordered the mint bliss but this time I ordered mine in the waffle bowl as I was dying to try one! I am a sucker for waffle cones and this was good so thick it was hard to break bits off. The sundaes were as good as ever as well loads of ice-cream, cream and sauce. A perfect ending to our eating festivities!
Or was it?! For as we were walking towards the car, I started moaning about what our next food would be (aeroplane food) and wondering if we could stop somewhere like Walmart and get some pre-packaged sandwiches. Then Tony (and it is moments like this that make me remember why I married him ) suggested going to the Earl and seeing if they had any cold sandwiches we could take with us . We walked in, and there was a whole menu of wraps we had never noticed before!!!!! Would you judge me if I said it was one of the best moments of the trip?! Tony ordered the chicken Caesar (grilled chicken, mixed greens, croutons, and Caesar dressing with parmesan cheese), and I ordered the caprese (field greens tossed in balsamic vinaigrette and topped with tomato, mozzarella and basil).
The photos are bad as they were taken on the plane and I turned the flash off (I was a bit panicked about whether you are allowed to take photos on planes!!), but here they are. And I have to say considering they had been in our bags for 7 hours at this point, un-refrigerated, and pulled around through the security machines at the airport - they were pretty good!! My wrap had gone a little soggy because of all the tomato, so I wouldnt have that flavour again, but otherwise I will definitely be doing this every year now on our return journeys. Absolutely full of filling, really tasty wraps, and good, fresh ingredients! I felt so smug when the man next to me started eating his dire aeroplane food, and Tony and I whipped these out of the bag! A great ending!!

Thats it for the Disney food now . . . but we still have some cruise reviews to come!
