Putu from the Wonder - my Dad with his thick accent and Putu with his accent had a lot of fun trying to understand each other. He was so efficient and noticed everything, and he even made my sullen brother laugh at times! Four days was too short to spend with him!

Putu is on the Wonder now? He was our assistant server on the Inaugural Panama Cruise in 2005. Then on the Eastbound Transatlantic in 2007 he remembered my mother and I and asked about my dad who was not travelling with us that trip. It really amazed me that he remembered

If I recall, his wife was also a castmember.

EpcotKilterFan - if I recall correctly, there is (or was) more than one Putu working for DCL. As it was explained to us, Putu is a very popular name in Indonesia, something to do with either birth or family position, but I might be wrong on that aspect as I did enjoy my frou-frou drinks at dinner and some conversational fine points have been jumbled.

Our Putu on the Wonder was from Bali. Not sure about the other Putu. I don't believe his wife worked on the ship, either, but we were just on the Wonder this past summer, so possibly if it is the same Putu, she may no longer work on the ships.

I do remember he was very tiny, not tall and quite slim, but very capable carrying a full tray of food/dishes. Amazing guy, and so very nice.

We were just on the Magic and our faves were Pikey, Oscar, and Ponz (yes, he is famous for remembering EVERYONE'S name... but did you know he could sing?? Apparently he won the Phillipines version of American Idol. He gave us a quick demo at the final bingo -- quite a set of pipes on that guy!)

Our servers, Oppie from Bali and Krisztian from Hungary were phenomenal, and we had Oana at Palo for both brunch and dinner, and she was unbelievable!!

totally knew ponz could sing heard him sing a quick demo two weeks in a row, and it was awesome, and Oscar funny guy he wanted my friend to dance with hurt toe and she wouldn't, but he kept asking her to get up and dance the last night in Rockin' Bar D

Just got back to land yesterday off of the Magic and our favorites were definetly Trevor, Pikey (BINGO!) Tisa and our servers Paula and Johnathan. They all made our trip extra special!

Hey Sandy!! No, it disintegrated from all the sweat I wiped off that hot boy's face! I can't believe I actually had that thing in my bra. Gross if it were anybody but Luke's.

To those of you that don't have the pleasure of knowing what I'm referring to you probably don't want to know. Let's just say what happens on the Wonder stays on the Wonder!! Especially that awful rendition of Beyonce's "say my name" that Glendon tortured us, ahem, treated us, to. He e-mailed us to see if anyone had pix of him karaoke-ing and I was thinking he'd probably want to forget all about that moment in time. Oh well! Go figure!

Although now gone from the Magic and the Wonder, Ian from the U.K, of the cruise staff, was incredible. He spent many a time diving into various swimming pools (his personal schtick) fully clothed. Great energy and enthusiasm.

In Sessions/Cadillac Lounge, our favorite is Daryl Lockhart. Not sure if he is still cruising with DCL as I haven't seen his name on recent Navigators, but he is a great singer/pianist who makes trips to those martini bars always very special. Anyone know his whereabouts?

Of course, no one can compare with Sasha, the waiter who started in the dining rooms and now serves in Palo. Great server!

Ponz, Christiaan and Brent are all great! In fact I dont know if I met one member of the cruise staff who has not been great. They all truly make the cruises a trip of a lifetime and I don't know where they get their energy to work 70 hours week after week without missing a beat.
