And who here is tempted (like me) to go and buy a set of sheets from Pottery Barn Kids right now from the Dr. Seuss bedding set? I have seen the fabric that was printed but is now out of print on :wizard: and always loved it but it is too expensive. Not that these sheets are that much cheaper but I am so tempted to buy a set and make outfits for my girls. If anyone else is going to do this I have a quick question.....do you think a crib sheet would be enough if you mixed it in with other fabrics? I have 3 girls and I always tend to overbuy but this is so expensive I hate the thought of buying too much (like there is such a thing!!!).

I would do it! I bought Grinch knit pants just for the fabric. Morgan LOVES the grinch and I refused to pay 100.00 a yard for fabric.

Hi everyone! I've resurfaced from lurkdom because I've really missed some of you and was hoping to get reaquainted. I've loved looking at all of the outfits you've created. It's been so much fun and rewarding to see everybody share their interests and talents. My family just got back from a Christmas vacation to Disneyland, and I wanted to share some of the outfits I created for my sons and daughter for our trip. By the way, aren't my kids cute? :rotfl2:

Hi - love all your outfits and cute kids!!! I have a question - when you make the top that is with the skirt - what pattern is that? or did you modify something else????

I got some knits to try today with my serger! Any tips from anyone? Also, when you are making a ribbed cuff or neckline, how long do you make the piece of ribbing?

Thanks, Wendy

Yesterday when I was out I drove past a warehouse type building that said fabric outlet open to the public, I had seen it before nut never had time to stop. I had a little time so I thought I would check it out! I walked in and nearly fainted! :cloud9: I got all tingly. It was the most fabric I had ever seen!! I looked around and found some fabrics I had never seen before. They had chip and dale cotton knit, Incredibles flannel, some many my wallet was spinning!! There were many I had seen before and wish I had boughten and then never seen again! You cut everything yourself and then put it back. AND it is all cheap like $2.50 to $3.50 a yard!! It's like a treasure hunt!! Any way I got out there for under $50, I was proud of my self for showing such restraint!! :rolleyes1 I can take pictures if anyone is interested ;)

I'd especially love to see the chip n dale!

Does anyone have a Singer Futura CE-150 ? There's one on our local craigslist, and I'm curious...

The top is a modified design. I've made several of these over time and although I'm pretty sure I probably started with a pattern in the beginning, I've changed it so much and made so many modifications that I'm not sure how much of it is the pattern anymore and how much of it is me. I can see if I can find the original pattern if you'd like. :)

I'm hogging posts here again!

I forgot to say thank you to everyone who answered my questions from earlier. I'm going to give it a try in a minute changing my font size.

And a few quick comments.....

I know I try and stick to the Disney Channel exclusively to completely brainwash my girls.......but Nick or Noggin (I don't remember which one now) was on earlier and they had a commercial on saying that "Olivia" (the pig - by Ian Falconer) was coming the end of January. I'm kind of excited about that. I really love the books and hope the TV series is as good.

I think a crib sheet would work.

That'd be awesome - I was wondering if it was just a bodice pattern made longer and ruffled at the bottom or something like that - like could I do that from the carla stripwork twirl jumper maybe????? I'd appreciate it if you knew, but dont worry if you cant!!! Beautiful outfits!!

Today is my niece's birthday and my sister called me and asked me if I could make Kelsey a cake that had something to do with Twilight on it. So I went looking for pictures of Bella and Edward that were drawn. This is the cake that I came up with.

In person Edward doesn't look that odd. I couldn't get a good angle to take the picture.

My sister said that Kelsey was so excited when she saw the cake that she had tears in her eyes. Everybody at the party loved the cake.

Im considering doing the exact same thing! I didn't realize that they had crib sheets - that would be perfect for me. I think I need to order that size.

I have a Futura 150. I really like it.

I looked at the pottery barn sheets and thought no way am I spending that kind of money, then again, I got a few yards of blue dr suess and a bit of green, so maybe I think a bit differently about how much I *need* it!

Okay, I only have time for a few more before I've got to go get some work done. I have an outfit I've got to finish by Monday. I just lack the motivation at the moment to actually do it.
