Just got back from Walmart. It was a madhouse, but worth it. I got Kodak camera $79. Two memory cards 7.00each, Cabbage patch doll 10.00. and some other stuff. It was crazy, but saved me lots of money. Good luck to the rest of you.

Yes, Walmart was a madhouse, but I picked up a printer, flashdrive, crock pots, and luggage. We have another WDW trip planned - we needed new luggage!
Home safe and sound, and now it's off to work.

I agree WalMart was a mad house !! Abus load showed up at 4:45am and they were trying to cut!!Cops were there and sent at least one guy off property!! I loved it I think they should hand out admission tickets to those in line and you can't get in without one !! It is sooo frustrating to stand there for hours in the cold to have someone cut in front of you who just arrived !!

We only went to Target today. This was my birthday/graduation present shopping, as I'm done with the Christmas shopping!!

My mom got:
Dyson Vacuum and received the $100 gift card - $349
Westinghouse 26" Flat Panel HDTV for me!! - $299
Weeds Seasons 1 and 2 - $8.98 each

I got:
Wii Guitar Hero (I'm getting a Wii for Christmas...yes, I'm a big kid!) - $59
Memorex CD Player/AM/FM Radio and iPod Dock - $44
Sex and the City Movie - $8.88
Duracell AA Batteries w/$5 gift card - $9.99
2 2GB Memory cards that came with 40 free Target prints each! - $8.88 each

Oh, and my mom ran to JC Penney to get her free Mickey Mouse snow globe while I waited in line at Target.

Not bad. We got in at 6:00 and were checked out by 6:20. :woohoo:

Just back the big score for me was at Vera Bradley! They gave out a FREE tote bag- and it's super cute- It was in one of the red prints. and it was free with a $75 purchase-- AND they also gave out a free note pad with a cover for your purse just for walking in!!

I bought an external hard drive for $70(it's 640 GB!) and a flash drive for $12
a couple of little things from ToysRus- which I though was a big bust(I bought a star wars transformer and some airplanes and something else that I can't remember- oh yeah the Sponge Bob lego that was $54 on sale for $25 but it was supposed to not be on sale- but they left the tag up by mistake so I got it at that price.

A bunch of webkinz at LT2(buy one get one free)

A couple lego sets and surprise my scratch off was only 10%(glad I didn't grab that Death star)

I am going to head back out to hit Gymboree again and LT2 again for clothes. But I have to be there by 1.

All in all very fullfilling and did better than I thought I would. I AM  over my FREE VERA! Now to decide if I gift it or keep it. It's CUTE

Hi guys! I just bought a nice 18 volt DeWalt drill for my dad at the BF price at Lowes online. They even offered free shipping so I am happy! Just so you know...Lowes is up and running their BF prices and Home Depot is offering some of theirs too...but shipping wasn't as good of a deal.

Also, just an aside...I talked w/ a salesman at Best Buy last night and I don't know if this is true or not but it should be a word of warning...at least ask before you buy and perhaps even get it in writing/print. He said that Circuit City is selling lots of their items lower than most b/c of their future bankruptcy. People will be buying these products but they won't be able to purchase long term warranties and some companies (he used Samsung as an example but no necessarily true) are refusing to warranty any product from Circuit City b/c they defaulted on their payments to the companies. That "could" mean that if you buy a big product at Circuit City and then it breaks and you send it back to the company for repairs, they "could" refuse it.

Like I said, this is all by word of mouth and certainly not from the horse's mouth but I would ask seriously before I purchase just to make sure. Just food for thought! Happy BF shopping!

Thats not true. They are still offering extended warranties that are backed by another company not owned my CC, and all warranties that come with the product are still fine. Plus they already filed for Bankruptcy.

There was a fight in electronics at the Walmart I was at, but otherwise no problems. Lots of police there to assist- LOL. Anyway I got so much stuff!!! We also went to Target, Lowes, Bath & Body, and Sports Authority all before 8:30am!! I'm at work now- but I'm sleepy!!:lmao:

Glad to know that if you are right. I was just posting so that people would be aware of what was being said...I would definitely want to know and I would definitely be asking before I made big purchases just in case. Never hurts to be too careful. I realize they have already filed for bankruptcy but they haven't closed down business yet and that's what I meant by "future." Sorry if that didn't seem clear. :goodvibes

I started at 10:30 and hit the outlets, got the Old Navy free MP3 player and a $10 GC for the outlets, stayed until 2:30. Then onto Kohls - So mad they had a horrible selection of the Ugg type boots. They had ONE of each size in each color. I had to take the display. I was the first one that dept too. Talk about poor planning! There were also sweaters in their ad they had none of. Then to Walmart, the line was INSANE. There were probably 1,000 people in front of us. The police were there to keep it organized. We ditched the carts otherwise we wouldn't have been able to go anywhere. Then to Target, which was great, so organized. Then home! I'm exhausted!

Well I work for CC at one of the closing locations and its all still being honored. Guess a Best Buy employee just wants to stir the pot up lol!

OMG the police had to CLOSE a WalMart in Valley Stream, New York because of the chaos. :scared1:

http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Shop-Til-You-Drop----Literally-Chaos-at-the-Mall-.html

Yes, I did just quote myself.

That other thread on this Budget Board about a WalMart worker trampled to death....it's the WalMart I posted about earlier. So sad. :sad2: :sad1: The earlier version of the story (which has now been changed - at the same link - had said that somebody waiting on the line had had a heart attack and that it was NOT a stampede issue. Now it turns out it WAS a trampling.)

Hi everyone!

We're back and we did pretty well I think

Started at Old Navy
We got the free MP3 player (which we're giving to grandaddy to see if he likes it before we buy him an IPod)
Microfleeces at 2 for $15, a long sleeve T, some clothes for the little cousins, and a sweater for my Dad

We then headed to JC Penneys where we got part of the last box of snowglbes (at 5:20 am)

Then Sears for Puffer Vests for Dad and Grandaddy, and $6.99 Memory Cards

Then head over to Target just as it was opening
Managed to get 3 out of 4 of the DVDs we were there for (they were already out of House Season 3 at 6:15)

Went to the mall. Hit American Eagle and got 2 hoodies and 2 shirts for myself at buy 1 get 1 1/2 off plus an additional 25% off the entire purchase.
Hit PacSun and got solid long sleeve t-shirts for $4.99 + an additional 30% off and jeans for $9.99 and an additional 30% off. Then Bath and Body Works for Wallflowers. My mom got something at Aeropostale that I'm not allowed to know about.

Finally we hit Books A Million for the early bird 20% off. And Walgreens for 64 count Crayola crayons at 99 cents for my classroom (I'm going to be a teacher) next year.

Still need to hit Hot Topic and Victoria Secret's tomorrow.

Hope everyone else was as successful!

Was in line for at Target 5:50am (line clear back to the end of the parking lot and lots of security due to the crowds - and I live in a small town  )

Mom and I ended up with the following:

26" HDTV $299
XBOX 360 Pro edition w/ $60 target gift card ($30 to the 3yr ext warranty)
XBOX game $10 off
DS game $10 off
Wiresless gaming chair $44
Wii Aerosmith Guitar Hero bundle (2 guitars) $99
Moves $3.98-$5.98

Then on to Yonkers:

2 - reversable down comforters $19.97
1 - knife set $29
1 - sheet set $39

Then on to Staples:

320GB portable ext hard drive and case $99

Then just scooped up a new XBOX 360 game for DS from Toys R Us for $25 off

Crazy, busy, fun day :cool1:

Unreal, devastating, sad........I don't even know what to say. I was at Target for opening, third in line and it was calm, orderly and respectful.

I got everything I was looking to get:

The Lego Star Wars Set $59.99
Portable DVD Player $49.99
Movies $3.98
Mens Lounge Pants $6.98
Norelco Shaver $29.98

Went to BBB, got some decorations with the 20% off sale.
Went to Macys and bought some Harry and David Moose Munch to make up a movie basket with. I was surprised beyond belief that the $10.00 coupon actually worked on this.
Went to American Eagle and bought my DD's boyfriend a nice sweater.

That is really all I went for, mission accomplished. Now, I just have to keep reminding myself that I AM DONE SHOPPING FOR THE KIDS!

DS really wanted this and they were out :sad2: We asked the toy area clerk and they only got 2 in for the sale

Oh, I am sorry. I am glad I went when I did. Our store only had about 5. I don't know why they would not think this to be a popular item. :confused3
DS is going to be thrilled with this. He has been asking for it for the longest time but no way would I pay full retail. It was worth waiting on line for the 2 hours before opening (I hope).

We went to Walmart at 5:00 (biggest crowd I've seen in years:eek:) I went after the samsung camera and PS3 games for $30....well they $10 and $30 games didn't come in so they had just a few that they had in the case and I got PS3 NCAA 009 and Nascar 09 and they honored the $30 for those. I got the camera, camera case with card and some movies. Then went to target for the 26" LCD...got that. Went back to WM to price match some things that I wasn't able to do earlier because it was a madhouse and I needed to get to Target. When I got back to WM they were dicounting some of the video games to $16 because the others didn't come in....I got Madden 09, Wii Music, Wii lil' pet shop, couple DS games all for $16 each ....wish I would have gotten more. Then to the mall to AE anh Limited Too. :santa:
