October 11-18, 2008 Disney Magic Parrothead Pirates in Paradise Chapter 13

I was in it too as a little girl with my Dad. My Dad was "Wild Mustang" per my Brother. LOL. I don't know what mine was. I'm thinking "Little Running Deer" ...something with a deer. Dad passed away when I was 14 so I can't ask him. Fond memories though.

In Texas, they still have an Indian Guides/Indian Princess program. It is not through the Y anymore though. This is our first year to particapate but they have like 1,500 people in the area doing it. Next weekend will be my daughter's first time to ever campout in a tent. Also her first event with Indian Princesses. We dropped Girl Scouts this year and are doing this instead.

The Indian Princess program thrugh the Y ended in 2003 late i think. I remember 1 of the last issues of the Philly Inquirer Magazine that they used to print on Sundays was about the program ending. Wasn't too long b4 i got married. Boy did that spark mountian of letter to the paper from past Princesses. How much fun we'd had and what we did. And how it was a crime that they were ending it.

We could only afford 1 camping trip a year, so we always did the winter 1. That was lots of fun. Slept in cabins though not tents.

Oh i agree. That cake looks terrific. I've onnly seen 1 cake fall in the challenges, that was the Pixar 1 that ran last week. I kinow there's more, I just haven't been lucky enough to see them yet.

Oh i agree. That cake looks terrific. I've onnly seen 1 cake fall in the challenges, that was the Pixar 1 that ran last week. I kinow there's more, I just haven't been lucky enough to see them yet.

OH... that was mean!!!!!!!!!!!
You actually see more of the sugar sculptures fall than cakes.... they are notorious for breaking and falling...

That's the 1. All that hard work into the fur, and he toppled right over. Well at least the chef had a good sense of humor about it.

Is anyone already packed? I haven't started but am cleaning house and doing laundry. DH & DD have an "Indian Princess" campout next weekend so we really do need to get on the ball. I haven't even started a list.

We're slowly putting things out. With the holidays coming up, we want to be prepared.

Gina- That cake is GORGEOUS!!! I would give just about anything...well almost anything to be able to make cakes like that!! I LOVE watching the food network challenges (they are all set to record on the tivo) so I am also sure that you could win one of those!!

I PM'd Heidi to let her know about the dinner wednesday night So if anyone will be in the port area and would like to go to dinner with Gail and Myself and our families...you are welcomed to join. We are not sure exactly the time or place yet but We are thinking someplace like Chili's or Outback or Olive Garden

It sounds like its going to storm here again...Ugh well it is the rainey season so Its expected but the weather makes me even more tired that what I usually am.
I am hoping to finish up packing tonight when we get back home (at DMIL'S house now) because Mike is going to grill us some chicken tonight YUMMY!!
I took some pictures of our new place that I will also try to post when I get home and have the card reader to upload them...It still has their stuff in it and isnt done up...but I figure I can do a before and after thing....so that once we have it all done and decorated in our style

Well I will be here off and on while I am looking for a bed for Christopher online (well My dad is a carpenter and we will get off cheaper and better if he helps us to make it). I know what Chris wants...as he already saw one that he wants...so I have to find the pic to print out for dad, so that he can get an idea of what we would like...But I will be back on in a minute or so..multi-tasking today

I'm dead serious... have you ever watched one of the challenges? They are usually on Sunday nights about 8-9pm.... that's Central..

we love that show and watch it all the time!!!!!! it's fun to see the different cakes they do!!!!!!!!!!

Glad Bruce's leg is better... I'm taking double doses of Glucosamine for mine and I think it's helping a little... we may have to have a "hobbler's corner" for all the "lame" ones!!!!

Does anyone else put colorful bows on your luggage... for quick ID at the airport (mine is like those 10 billion others... black) and coming thru customs... I just got my bows on mine...
