I just finished dd's 101 dalmatian outfit except for the buttons for the strap (the buttons will be on the back)

and ds's matching shirt again

WOW!!! I loved the T but that dress is AWESOME!!!! They will be so cute together!!!

Now for my really bad rendition of a whale applique lol. It is however done though and that the cool thing since I have to have it in the morning! Also thankfully he is rarely still so noone will see a lot of the uglies lol. BTW we went with the water is clear theory because my night was devoted to something else.

I remembered about halfway through that I do better going quicker than when I take it slow!

And what my night has been really devoted too.

We did nails ... obviously not hair. I had forgotten how giggily 4 and 5 year old girls are! DD is on the left and my best friends DD who is 5 is on the right. They are STILL awake! And we have to get up early in the morning. Sigh what was I thinking.

You did a great job on the whale! Looks like a fun night-you must be exhausted today!

Here is a Minnie dress I just finished. I am grateful for the daisy tutorial. I almost put a Mickey head with a bow, but decided the flower would dress it up more! I was working with a remnant and the dots are not quite straight, but she won't care.

I spent most of the day typing touring plans on 4x6 cards. The closer the trip gets, the more I think of to do!

I decided against that and went with a pattern I am familiar (and comfortable) with - CarlaC's a-line. I went to Joann's to get fabric and found some great stripe fabric along with coordinating blue and yellow. I get ready to cut and decide I don't want the stripe anymore. I still used the yellow and the blue fabric but went in a different direction.

I showed DH the appliqué on the shorts and asked him what he thought it was. He said fish. I reminded him this was a Donald Duck outfit then he said, "Oh, feet! That is really cute."

Note: I did not appliqué Donald's face. That was an eBay buy.

I was thinking of doing a pieced Minnie outfit for my DD using an the a-line pattern. I wasn't sure if I would do stripes or blocks. I LOVE your strip work!

And because I am happy with how it turned out, here is Lauren's room in our new house. I made the curtains and the pillowcase on the bed. The quilt was also handmade by a friend of my mothers.

I decided at the last minute to make an outfit for Emma to wear on the last day of school tomorrow. It is hawaiian day and I had this fabric on hand so I went with it rather than buy more. Okay, I'm having a bad day and Mindy's pics cheered me up and since I'm on my computer with the "old" photos I thought I'd post a couple I LOVE of Lily. They just go to show, that even if your child is crying throughout the entire photo shoot you can still get some good pictures!

And not to leave out the big kids. These were taken before Lily was born. And I love the missing front teeth..and the toes... and little boy bruised legs...wah! They're growing up!

And, just because I am still up, I thought I'd share with you all a little story.

On Monday, I got to my meeting and was getting out of my van. One of the other sisters was arriving at the same time. She looked at me and said, "OOOhhh, you are a PRINCESS!" My hand IMMEDIATELY shot to my head to see if I'd left a tiara on, then I looked down at my shirt to see if I'd forgotten to take off some of the red ribbons that I had sewn on my blue shirt while we were in Florida.

Perplexed by my odd behavior, the sister then pointed to my van and said, "Your antenna topper. It's a crown."



So how many "normal" adult women would shoot their hand to their head to see if they are wearing their crown, then check to see if they are still dressed as Snow White??




I had completely forgotten about the totally cool Princess Crown antenna topper I had bought at Disney World!

I'll raise my hand here. I would totally check to see if i left my tiara on!

The room turned out great. I am slowly doing over Sara Beth's room (dd4) She had animals and now, of course, wants princesses!

and not happy about it! I went out to water my ferns a little while ago..only to find a visitor. I don't like unannounced guest in my ferns...especially since he was eating my welcome guest...my baby birds. But I must first say, I DON"T DO SNAKES!!!!! HATE THEM!!! THEY SCARE ME!!! So I called my husband to come home and do the deed and make him MORT!


I also have no AC and it is SOOOO hot! That's all I need to buy a new AC now...a week before Disney!

I must go find the strength to sew the same pair of shorts for the THIRD time! I now hate this fabric!!!!!! What a day!

Lookie what DH brought home last night!!!!!

We've been talking for a few weeks about getting a new puppy (and I'd like to publicly thank JHAM for once again inspiring us! I believe it was your pics of Sunny Isabella that inspired DH to get back on the dog bandwagon!!!! )

As if 7 children weren't enough, we thought we'd add a puppy into the chaos! Are we INSANE? Don't answer that!

So far, he seems to be about the most chill puppy I've EVER seen! He is super mellow and LOVES to be held and snuggled with (MY FAVORITE!). He's 8 weeks old and he's a miniature shnauzer and beagle mix (kinda crazy, huh?).

I came home last night (after going to WalMart to get food and stuff for the little guy) to find these two....

That's dd12...she about FLIPPED when DH brought the puppy home! We were all surprised! I was actually heading out the door to play Bunko and DH walks in with this little guy in his arms...I was bawling! Such a sweet surprise!

I think he's going to be a good addition to our family!

Anyway! Just had to share...I know there are a lot of dog/puppy lovers around here!

How sweet is that photo?!? The puppy is just too cute. Zoe's asked for one a few times but I just don't know how we'd do. We have 2 cats who already fight like cats and dogs. LOL Seeing your photos makes it more tempting, though.

I got a think from Simplicity about those yesterday and I don't think there's were made out of fleece. Let me go look again.

Well, that email got deleted but it was a pattern from Simplicity for two different cargo bags for the car. Go to their website and see if they are pictured.

I've seen those made out of regular fabric. I think you just need to put some kind of interfacing on the inside so that it will be stronger.

I used a Simplicity pattern last year before our trip to Disney. I used the small Minnie dot & a heavy interfacing & it came out great! I love it, I just wish I could train the kids to put things BACK in it after they get finished with something.

I thought I had some other things in my quotes. The Minnie dress is adorable. I love the whales. And the I believe in magic shirt (I may need me a couple of those for our next trip). And can I just say there are some adorable kids on here & they were adoarable babies too.

I've been lurking this thread for months! My name is Erin and I have two kiddos. My son is 9 (and will NOT wear something homemade!) and my daughter is 3. I posted once or twice last fall and actually sewed my little one a Thanksgiving outfit. Then, life got in the way, and I haven't done anything since. We are heading to the World for our first trip in December. Here's my question. Is it warm enough in Orlando in December to wear any of the BEAUTIFUL clothes I've seen on this thread? Being a northerner, I can't imagine wearing sleeveless in December. Do you layer things underneat? I'm not an accomplished seamstress, so I'm probably going to only get one or two things made for our trip. Anyone have pics of what they've made for a winter-time trip? You are all SOOO talented, I am in awe!!!

See the husband (I say that with a snarl) thought that somehow the AC would magically start working again. Funny guy! So after putting my babies to bed in 90 degree heat last night, I made the executive decision this morning to call the AC guy. When DH came to kill the snake (again yuck! ) he said to call the AC guy! I told him okay...they passed at the end of the drive...fast guy...must have been in the neighborhood! Well...he gave me a quote 1/2 of what DH thought it would be . So tomorrow...I will be cool again...today...not so much!

When we went in December, it was too cool for short sleeves. We wore coats a lot, especially at night. I think if you layer, the customs would be fine. Just put a long sleeved shirt under and do embellished jeans or use leggings. Some of us also embellish sweatshirts.

I posted once or twice last fall and actually sewed my little one a Thanksgiving outfit. Then, life got in the way, and I haven't done anything since. We are heading to the World for our first trip in December. Here's my question. Is it warm enough in Orlando in December to wear any of the BEAUTIFUL clothes I've seen on this thread? Being a northerner, I can't imagine wearing sleeveless in December. Do you layer things underneat? I'm not an accomplished seamstress, so I'm probably going to only get one or two things made for our trip. Anyone have pics of what they've made for a winter-time trip? You are all SOOO talented, I am in awe!!!

When we went in Jan 2008, I made sure to bring both long sleeve and short sleeve shirts to go under DD's jumpers/tops/dresses. I also made sure to bring leggings for under the dresses.

(one of the mother that I sew a graduation dress for did not like the idea of a halter dress for her daugther, so I gave her the first dress that I had made for the big give)

So this is the new one that I made this morning for the big give

I cased crystal idea for the front ribbons
