FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

When do you all expect any codes/discounts to come out for February? Do you think the same offer may be out for the last half of January?
I thought I remembered last year's offer was free parkhopper and waterparks, the year before I think was a dining offer. Anyone remember?

Hey Sabrina,

I think if there is a P&P Party that all of us from this thread should get together for a quick photo!! I don't really like meeting up with people, as it's each families vacation time and family time, but, I think for any of us who'd like to meet up for a quick pic for the boards it would be cool!!! The closer we get and IF/When a date comes out (hopefully the 2nd) then we can all plan it. What do you think?? I wonder how many of our kiddos are going to be 's or 's!!!

We will be in the same parks Sat. Feb 2 and Sund. Feb 3. and Lori and I will be in the same on 2/2 P & P Party, 2/6 MK morning and 2/7 Epcot.

We're getting closer and closer to those codes...

I'm guessing around the end of Nov.to Dec. maybe even after Christmas.
I doubt we'll see any codes before that. I'm just guessing though, based on when they've come out before.

The past 2 maybe even 3 the discount was the free upgrade to hoppers, waterparks, and more. There was also a slight discount on room rates. I'd expect to see this again - if it's more that would suprise me.

Also, as far as I know, there has not been free dining in Jan./Feb. as we've been the last 3/4 years in a row. I do know there was free dining in Sept., we went and got it!! If they offer free dining in Jan./Feb. I'd be surprised - VERY happy, but surprised!

Sooooo excited to see our tickers counting down! We're planning on the P&P party too if they have it. Count us in on the "mini-meet" too! We won't be in costumes per say but each of us have a pirate shirt and we all have pirate do-rags. I picked them up along with DD & DS's shirts at the aquarium in NO. They love the Pirate's playground!

Feb 2nd arrive MCO 12:30pm: P&PP: CP dinner 4pm
Feb 3: MK; CRT b'fast, CM dinner before the Super Bowl
Feb 4: MGM: H&V character lunch, Brown Derby Dinner
Feb 5: AK; Donald's B'fast and HDDR dinner
Feb 6: MK; 'Ohana b'fast and Narcoosees dinner
Feb 7: Epcot: Garden Grill lunch and PSB dinner
Feb 8: MGM: 50s PT lunch, 1900 PF dinner
Feb 9: MK and leave at 5:30pm; 1900 PF b'fast and then the park

We are doing the DXDDP, and I'm excited to try these new restaurants for us!

I am so glad to see everyone else is watching thier tickers so closely.
My DH keeps e-mailing me at work daily to remind me how close we are getting. Just wait until the 100 day mark, for me, that's always a huge milestone.

When we were there in Feb '06, the offer was free park hopper. Bummer is that we were told that we could not get it because we were camping. I don't think that is fair. I understand not gettting free dining because you are paying so little for the "room" and can have up to 10. But campers should be included in the free park hopper because that is a per ticket item. We pay the same for our tix as everyone else whether they are value or deluxe. I hope that if they offer it this year that they include the campers. I don't think it is worth it to us to pay for it, but it would be nice to have "just in case".

Yes!! I would love to meet up to "meet" all you wonderful people I have talked to for almost a year (by the time we go, it will be over a year for some of us!!!). I just had not told DH yet-heeheee!!! He's along for the ride though . I can tell you my mind is not clear this week-besides yesterday we went Christmas shopping in Foley, Alabama(about 2.75 hours away) My mom and I do this every year, but this was the first time we did not stay overnight. It was a LOOOONNNNGGGGG day-up at 5:30am, home for 1am the next morning! Not feeling so hot(great) here this week .

I called POP today 2x and talked to 4 different people. No one knew a direct answer as to if they allow big groups or not. ONE told me she didn't think so, and another read off the resorts that big groups(conventions) usually go to(off thier website) and POP was not on there, but niether were the other value resorts. So I really haven't had any answers about it-at least CLEAR ones. The one that told me no groups said, "well at least no more than ones who need 10 rooms-b/c that is the max with grand gatherings". I guess a cheerleading team could only take up 10 rooms?! I guess it is called a convention if a party needs more than 10 rooms!

I have a case of "ticker envy" - Could someone PM me to walk me through the steps of adding a ticker. I went to the website and tried but was not able to get a "cut and paste" option. I want to see the daily countdown to our February trip.

Is everyone pretty much reserving rooms for Feb. now with no discount and hoping some codes come out later? We're headed to the Daytona 500 over President's Day weekend and were going to stay closer to the track, but the rates are through the roof (and then some!) so now DH and I have decided to stay @ WDW and spend a couple of days in the parks before and after the race. I was surprised to see even the values were close to $150/nt. I think I will also waitlist @ SOG (currently sold-out for my dates). Here's hoping for something soon!
