Yankee Candle.Com, have you ordered???

Just wondering if anyone has every ordered online at Yankee Candle. I placed an order on Nov 10th and used the coupon for Buy 2 Get 1 Free large jars.

After a week or so with not seeing the charge come out of my online banking, I gave them a call and they told me that since I ordered near a holiday, they would process the order the following Monday (I think I called them on a Saturday) and then it would take another 7 days or so to be at my house.

Well, it's now Nov 30th and it still looks like they haven't processed my order. I was really excited about this order since it has a friend's Christmas gift in it (her favorite candle had been discontinued and they brought it back for a while this year) She'd be so excited to get it.

Just wondering if you've ever bought stuff from them and how long it took to get it (or even how long it took to even be processed) I know it's the Christmas season and things take longer these days, but should I give them another call and see what's happening?
 
i just did an order a few minutes ago and their website is saying that their normal processing time is being delayed up to 10 days.
 
I've order online several times from them and always got my stuff pretty quickly, but I never ordered around a holiday.
 
I placed my order with yankeecandle.com on November 4th. Their website says available items typically ship within 2-3 business days. I called them on 11/16 when I still hadn't recvd my shipment. They told me they were VERY backed up and my items still hadn't shipped, but they would credit me the shipping charge.
I finally got my items this past Wednesday, 11/28. Also, one of my jar candles was cracked. When I called them they apologized and said they would get another one out to me within 3 days. That was Wednesday and I had an email this morning that my item had shipped.
Sorry but I don't know when they processed my charge.

I'm on hold with them right now, it's been 40 minutes with music playing. I ordered yesterday with the $10 off code and they charged my card the entire amount, even though my order page showed the $10 off. My email confirmation showed no discount.

If I try to view my order on their site, it says my order number returned '0' results.
 
It seems like everyone who has ran any sales online is having problems. It took weeks to get my Keens (shoes) order (from a major company), Bath and Body is shipping slow, my Gymboree order has taken awhile, my Shutterfly is estimating at least 2 weeks, and I've read that Yankee Candle (placed an order a week ago) is also very slow right now. I know I ordered Yankee Candle last June (during the sale) and it came super fast!! This fall I ordered and it was slow!

I live in HI so usually I blame it on that, but it sounds like many companies are having issues this season. I have no clue why!
 
I placed an order on 11/09 during their Veterans day sale. I then got an email on 11/15 stating that my shipment would be delayed due to high volumes of orders and that they would credit me back my shipping charges ($6).

I just received a shipment confirmation today, 11/30. I did notice that they charged me the full amount. When I called they said they were experiencing high volumes and the wait time was 30 minutes. I'm at work and don't have time for that so I'm going to email them and call back later.

There's hope. I was about ready to call them myself!

Did you get the shipping credit back? I finally got through after 1 hr. 37 minutes (message said approx. 30 minute wait), and got a very nice person, BUT she said even though they haven't shipped my order, she couldn't cancel it, but once it shipped, they would credit me my $10 coupon back. Meanwhile, the entire amount is on hold through my PayPal credit, which I think is sort of unfair.

I'm curious as to if anyone else wasn't given their coupon code - mine showed subtracted on the page right before I submitted the order. I used the $10 off $25 (YUP17)
 
I placed an order on 11/10 and paid the extra $2 for the upgraded shipping. It just arrived today. I got an email on the 15th saying shipping would be delayed and they would refund the shipping charges when it shipped. It shipped the 28th but no refund yet. I will probably have to call.
A bunch of us over on the exchange board ordered around the same time and everyone is having the same problem.

No, like briannesmom, I didn't get my shipping credit back. Since this took almost a month to come, and they sent me that email, I'm definitely calling about it.

Their sales were so good for Veterans day- I don't think they were prepared for such a high volume of orders. I wonder if ANYONE got theirs in a reasonable amount of time :confused3
 
Yes, I ordered the 18th and my two orders still say in process. What is the point in buying Christmas candles and holders if I can not use them this season??? I am not very happy.....and from the looks of your orders I might not see them for awhile. :(
 
i ordered nov 9th ("hostess" gifts for thanksgiving).
didn't receive any communication at all (not even a confirmation), called around the 19th. they said that all orders were delayed but i should have the order by t-day ~ nope :confused3 . wound up having to go to the mall day before t-day for replacement gifts.
was still waiting, so sent them an e-mail about 5 days ago (no response).

finally rec'd my orders yesyerday. no broken glass (thank goodness), but a poorly wrapped wood harvest gift basket was almost totally empty, the contents on the bottom of the box :sad1: . the wood had scratches & gouges, the tealight box was mangled & ripped down the length of 2 sides, the tealights themselves, as well as the accompanying votives, were heavily dented & misshapen (definately not giftable ~ will prob just use for myself). btw, the shipping box was fine, so the item was sent in poor condition, & then not even wrapped properly.

with so many excellent co's to order from on-line (illuminations.com has excellent prices, service, & high quality candles, most every co i've dealt with on the web has been great :thumbsup2 ), i don't think i will ever waste my money or time with YC again. :sad2:
 
This is all very sad, something must be seriously wrong with the company management or their warehouse management. Some of you are nearly a month in waiting! I'm really ticked that I couldn't cancel my order that was overbilled, when you know it hasn't even left a computer yet, much less had a chance of being filled.
 
I placed an order on Nov. 9th. Still don't have it. I emailed them and asked what the hold up was, they answered a few days later and said they were way behind and were taking $6.00 off my order. My sister ordered a few days before me. She also got the same email but then last week, her order finally arrived.
Still have not seen my order!!:mad:
 
I was about ready to place an order last night, but it wouldn't let me use my coupon with the b1g150%off, so I deleted everything. I don't think I'll be placing an order after reading everyone's bad experiences this season.
 
Okay....so maybe I won't order from them and just make that trip to the mall. Sorry everyone is having problems. I had that happen with Little Tykes this summer - ordered Scriblets for my DD's school supplies (they ask for little toys or candy for birthday goodie bags). I ordered mid-July and when school started end of August still not Scriblets. I contacted them and they said they would credit my order (they definitely tried to make it right - I didn't ask for anything except my order) - but then they charged me and didn't credit it. All this via email so I sent them an email in response to their credit offer and asked them to credit it....I will be leery of ordering in the future from them.
 
I would have gone to the store at the mall but I wanted Scentstories for xmas gifts but you can only buy them at yankeecandle.com. They do not carry them in the store!:sad2:

here is a link to the printable version of the yankee candle 10$ off 25$ coupon. I used it yesterday at my local halmark store. I was having a problem with bath and body. Finally after 12 days my order shipped today! Not only that but they put my whole order thru TWICE.. they said they couldn't even stop the second one I didn't even order! SO needless to say I'm gonna be giving out alot of bath and body for christmas.. What if I didn't have enough money to cover both orders? Now that really ticks me off! It wasn't my fault! And yes I did get charged twice.. they told me just to take it back to the store.. well what about shipping charges? I'm out of luck WHY??? very fustrating!
 
Usually Yankee has great service, I wonder what's up this year???

FYI, Yankee Candle owns Illuminations. They bought them last summer. But Yankee Candle got bought this past Jan/Feb I think by a private investment company and are no longer a publicly held company from what I understand. I hope that has nothing to do with it!

That's crazy about Bath and Body! What is with shipping this year? SHeez!!

I know my Shutterfly items are predicting at least 2 weeks for turnaround time. And it's just now Dec 1!!
