Ok….We are decorating our main bathroom and I choose purples as the color theme.

Picture below shows the new shower curtain and the paint color is the third one from the top on the paint swatch thing. Walls will be lighter, and all accent towels, bath mat and anything else will be the darker purple.

My purpose of this thread is the deep deep wrinkles in the shower curtain - I hate wrinkles - they gotta go. The old show curtain was never folded, so this wasn’t an issue. I’m going to soak this in water and then lightly dry it, but I’m thinking that may not work.

My question…..Do you have any suggestions from your experience with a wrinkled shower curtain? It says I can iron it on low heat, but the material makes me nervous😬.

This is a frivolous thread, but hey… I kinda need to know - LOL!!!

Just throwing out an idea.......could you clip a few pants hangers on the bottom and run the shower on hot water for 10 -15 mins. Maybe between the moisture and the weight on the curtains, the wrinkles will be at least reduced.

The fold line wrinkles in the shower curtain I bought last year after our remodel sort of “fell out” after a little while. Probably from the steam of the shower. You can also throw in the dryer with a wet towel as others suggested.

It depends on the fabric. I have a few shower curtains that I swap out (different ones for different seasons). All of them are cotton and I wash and dry them periodically with no problem. They can be ironed, but I don’t bother. I use them with plastic liners that are disposable. Yours looks like a stiffer fabric. I would try running a hot shower for about half an hour and the wrinkles should loosen up somewhat. Over time it should get better just by hanging and the steam.

Iron it.

Or be like Elsa and let it go. Given enough hot showers, the wrinkles won't stick around for long.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. This is the main bathroom of the house, but it’s basically DD19’s bathroom. Now that she’s not home, there’s no steam, because no one else takes a shower in there. I’ll try the wet towel in the dryer suggestion first and if that doesn’t work I’ll try some other suggestions 🙂👍🏼

Yeah I would just wash it .

Steamer.

You ask how and why do I know this? Because a certain teen in my house decided to use the shower curtain to wipe off her eye makeup (btw, a towel was a mere 10 inches away) and it didn't come off in the wash so a new one had to be purchased. I think this rant belongs on the parents of teenager thread but oh well, now you know why I know the steamer works. lol
