I wonder if some CM don't inform parties that other guests will fill the table. If so, that's a problem.

There is a huge variability between CM. The last time we went, the CM asked if we wanted a high or low table. She wouldn't let us select by table number, saying that they move the numbers around. She pulled up her map but tried to cover it so I couldn't see the layout of tables. Figuring that I waited in line for her to arrive so that I could select my seats and that I was paying $270, I reached over her tablet pointed to the table that I wanted. I'm sure she was annoyed with me, but what was the point in telling me that each table isn't assigned a number?

I would have done the same thing. I always have been told when I checked in. There might be a disparuty between CM telling the guests. I never knew there was a map or numbering, LOL.

Oh, I'm an idiot! I was thinking of the Fantasmic dining package when I answered earlier. Sorry!!

But as to WOC, I've also done that once. My sister and I requested a low table and already knew it was likely we'd be seated with 2 others. We arrived early and were joined shortly by a very cute young couple. We had the best time! Both parties respected the other's space and we had fun moments of mutual interaction but talked alone in pairs quite a bit as well. It's hard for me to comprehend the antagonistic approach. What does that get you?

We decided tonight after getting to the hotel to reserve our party of seven for tomorrow night. I will let people know if we can sufficiently shame a possible singe attendee into tears.

But seriously: when is check for 9:15pm again? How early can I get there to pick a decent table? What’s the latest suggestion again? We will probably go high table.

Check out this thread. We went at the end of One and arrived at 6:45 to get in line to pick our seats. It was scorching hot that weekend so wasn't a very crowded park day.

Notes from WOC dessert party

The cost is $70.79 per person. The $89 you pay includes tax and tip. This is important because many don't realize that 18% tip is included in the $89 fee.

We lined up to choose a table around 6:45 pm. The line up sign (teal circle on map) was on the opposite side of where the kiosk is set up (blue square on map). Initially, guests lined up behind the sign. When the CM arrived, she asked the line to move to stretch in the direction of Redwood Creek Challenge rather than the backside of Grizzly River Run (red arrows on map). I included a photo of the line up...

I am still a bit confused. The show is at 10:15. The reservation is listed for 9:15. The email states we should check in at 9:15. Can you check in for the 10:15 show at 6:45?

I've done the Party solo a couple times and always seated with others. One time it was a bit awkward and everyone kept to themselves.

The other time the folks I was with took me as their own and we laughed and talked Disney leading up to the show- and then the show started and and during the show we shared moments of awe and shed tears together. The next day I ran into them in the parks and we all hugged. To this day I regret not exchanging contact info.

To answer my own question for possible other searchers:

They told me to come back when they were done with the first show check in which they estimated around 8:15. We ended up getting in line with the last few 8:00 check-in people and kept going to the back of the line to let others check in first. We were with a few other people essentially doing the same and sort of established a psuedo-second line order and were letting the 8pm folks go ahead of us.

Ultimately I don’t think it mattered all that much as the show was obviously not full and I think everyone got great seats.
