That's some serious money.. private party 6pm and they are having their own fireworks show.
That's amazing
No fireworks for day guest today

probably the Snap On Tools convention going on at Coronado Springs. Friend of mine is there with her husband for the convention.

WOW, I didn't even know that was a thing, sure sounds nice though :)

It's been done for decades. Mostly corporate gigs, but the first time an individual rented out a Disney park was Liz Taylor in 1992. That was big news back then with lots of coverage, although the reported cost just seems ludicrously cheap. This article indicates an extreme where a Saudi prince paid for private parties before and after hours in four different parks around the world.

There have been occasions where Disney would close a park for private events, but this is very rare. In 1992, Liz Taylor had a private birthday bash in Disneyland and invited hundreds of celebrities and friends. No outsiders and press members were allowed into downtown Disney, but the park did tape the celebration and broadcasted it for everyday people to watch on television. While Disneyland officials did not comment on how much she had spent on the event, during that time, it cost $8,000 (around $14,500 today, adjusted for inflation) to rent the entire park after hours. While Disneyland had been rented out by corporations prior to 1992, this was the first time an individual rented it out for personal use.
The next time a person would pay to have the whole park, from downtown Disney to its most popular attractions, to themselves and their guests was in 2013, when a Saudi prince paid 15 million euros to host private three-day Disney extravaganzas called Disney Dreamers Everywhere. He hosted private parties in Tokyo, California, Florida, and Paris Disneyland for around 60 guests. However, he only paid for private parties held early morning before the park opened to the public and then after 11 PM until 2 AM every night. So, unlike Liz Taylor, he did not close down regular operations and people were still allowed to visit.

Disneyland is rented out for high school graduation parties. The park closes early to the public, then the grads "party on." not sure how that worked with Covid but it's been a real thing in the past.
Most recently (pre-covid), the all night high school grad nites have been a "mix-in" event starting during regular operating hours and ending a few hours after the general public has left the park.

years ago we were at disneyland and some big tech company (google maybe?) had rented the park for the night. it was a weekday early close night anyway but they closed to the public a couple of hours early and the private party had the place to themselves until about the time the park would normally close on the weekends. the COOL thing was they must have paid extra for an extended firework display b/c we were in a room you could see some of the display from-that display went on for at least twice as long as any i've ever seen in the parks before or since.

I heard it's kind of different because Disneyland Park doesn't close for Grad Nite now. They make California Adventure the park that's the Grad Nite exclusive. I guess they now offer a ticket to experience the parks first before the exclusive event. Back when we did it, we went to Knott's Berry Farm for a few hours as something to do.

This was the last one they had in 2019:

Since 1961, high school seniors have been able to celebrate their accomplishments with fellow grads from around the country and create one final night of high school memories at the Disneyland Resort Grad Nite. Today, we’re excited to announce that in 2019, Grad Nite will return to Disney California Adventure park on select dates in May and June!
************
A variety of ticket packages allow students to make the most of the party, including options to give them the opportunity to choose a Grad Nite visit that includes the Grad Nite experience at Disney California Adventure park in the evening, a full day Disney California Adventure park experience or a full day to experience both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park.

I rode Space Mountain over and over again about 10 times in a row, got to sit wherever I wanted each time when I was a kid and my dad’s convention had MK all to ourselves (prior to Elizabeth Taylor’s event.) The little girl I made friends with on that trip (and rode that ride with over and over) will be flying across the country soon to visit. I’m thrilled.

I saw that you can gave an after hours event at the castle, usually weddings but they do not close early it happens after everyone is gone.
You can add on Cinderellas carriage ❤

A majestic ceremony around Main Street, USA with perfect views of Cinderella's Castle will set you back between $20,000 and $50,000. Venue fees and any additional service elements like entertainment, food, décor, photography, and transportation, can be used towards your event minimum.

Yeah - Disney Parks had corporate events for a while. Sounds like the adults weren't all that interested in the rides. Did they have alcohol?

We had that experience in early 2020, and we got to watch World of Color twice from our Grand Californian DVC room. We think it was Blizzard Entertainment that rented out California Adventure, but not sure.

Michael Jackson was known to have have rented out Disneyland.

I think Disneyland gets rented more than disney world.
I see areas at WDW get rented but not the whole park

I once worked a scavenger hunt event that was part of a corporate convention. The company reps that flew in to run it were from a large event planning firm in Orlando. We had a bit of downtime and I was talking to one of the ladies from the firm. I asked if they ever did big private events at WDW. Oh, all the time she said. So I was peppering her on specifics, because I found it very interesting. But it was funny because both she and I knew that what I really wanted was a $$$ amount, and that there was no way she could disclose that info! I’m sure the price list for renting out an entire park is a document that very few eyes ever see!
