Can anyone tell me a Photoshop font that you like to use for Disney stuff? I have been sampling a lot of them, but boy there are a ton. I am hoping someone can save me some time by filling me in on the best.
I use what ever font is best for the theme of the DISign. If I'm doing something for AK I'll use something that looks "wild" or African. If it's a princess design I'm more likely to use a script, Tomorrowland - something Sci-fi/techno. I try to take my "look" from the various logos and signage for the area and subject matter I'm designing.
Also consider readability. Some fonts that work great in headlines don't work well as a body of text.
I know I'd feel stifled if I had to stick with only one or two fonts! I have ALOT of fonts on my system!
I use dafonts.com most of the time to pick the fonts. You can type in a word or phrase to see what it will look like in that font. I use either the actual words that I am going to use in my DISign or just use my name.
Download them to the Windows\Fonts directory and I am ready to go.
Waltograph and Waltogragh UI are the ones that I use most!!
I also use dafont.com very good resource.
I also use these: http://www.disneyexperience.com/customize/fonts.php
Just remember if you plan on masking text, you want to use a relatively thick font with small spacing.
I would check out this site. It is probally what you are looking for. It uses the fonts that are installed on your computer. Then you type your phrase and see what font you want.
Thanks, I will try it out. I spent the day listing all of my fonts on a word document. Capital/small letters, numbers & We're looking for the mouse. It is 22 pages long. I ended up deleted about 50 fonts.
Take care, Penny
