Ok, I am wanting to buy a Maclaren stroller for my 1 yo DD to take to WDW. Any recommendations? So many models, so many years to choose from... :confused3

I just purchased a Maclaren Techno 2005 crimson color for $164.99 (regular price $299.00) This was at albeebaby.com. This is the cheapest I have found a new one for. I have not tried mine yet as it is arriving today in the mail, but I have used them in the stores and love it. The reviews on the 2005 and 2006 are great. There were some problems with the 2003 with the wheels falling off. I am going to have to plan a trip to WDW just to try it out!!! LOL
edit to add this price is only on the crimson color the other 2005 colors are $199.00

Thanks to the recommendations on this board I purchased a 2005 Volo in silver for 79.50 (shipping included). It arrived today and I love it already - I'd tried it out as well as many others at Babies R Us and there was no comparison in terms of comfort and ease of use. I got it at livingincomfort.com - Thanks to the poster who gave me the scoop on this one!

I just purchased a 2005 Triumph for $109 shipped. Amazon currently has the VOLO 2004 for $49.99!

I wish i would of bought this thing instead of going through 3 strollers...I shouls of listened to my wife...i used to make fun of those parents who bought expensive strollers..now i know why they did!

I also used albeebaby.com. wonderful customer service.

I love the padded seat and reclining option. However, the selling point on this one for me was the adjustable handles. DH is over 6 foot, so longer handles means he pushes some!

The steering on a mac is better than anything else I've ever tried. If the adjustable handles and seat adjustent aren't important, go with the less expensive models (which are also lighter).

I use my stroller so much more now that I have a stroller that is easy to use! I really think you'll love any Maclaren choice.

We just got back from WDW after purchasing a brand new Maclaren Triumph. It was the best purchase! I loved it, it worked perfectly. At the airport on the ride home, my DH took my DD to the bathroom for a diaper change, while I took the stroller out of the bag and popped it open. A man standing next to me said I was like a well-oiled machine. Well, after a week of opening and closing my stroller for riding the buses to and from the park, I should be!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and doesn't use her stroller here at home, but she loved the Triumph, and we loved it too! I highly recommend it!

Thanks so much kjbrown! That's just the info I needed! Since my DD will be about 2 when we go to WDW, I can relate! I definately think I will go for the Triumph for the reclining feature!

I spent a lot less on mine than a MacLaren - and it has stood up well for a LOT less money! Mine has a nice basket under it, a hood over it, it reclines, and it's a nice navy blue fabric, so it doesn't have any visible stains...I think it was a Graco - FYI. It doesn't fold up real small, but when folded, it does fit nicely under the bus seats at Disney, and it has survived many airline flights. It also is very easy to fold with one hand.

I will say for convertable car seats the Britax was well worth the money! (The Graco infant seat was great, but the convertable seat was not as good.) But I'd never waste my money on a stroller that was that expensive. What if someone takes it?

I also bought a Maclaren Volo (the BRU one for $49, plus I found a $5 off code) just this week. Got the recommendation from here!

I've been thru 1 Graco City-lite, 2 cheap umbrella strollers, one Graco travel system, plus one more Kolcraft big stroller and Graco double stroller. Plus one Peg Perego Aria that the basket broke the first week.

Should have SPENT the money on quality the first time around! Now my youngest is 3 and I'm finally buying a Maclaren! The resale value is great too!!

I bought a Maclaren Quest 2004 model off of ebay last year for $99! They retail for over $169 new, so this was a great deal. I picked the Quest because the seat was a little deeper than the Triumph, and the recline was a little better. I got it for my daughter who was one last year to take to WDW, and it's been WONDERFUL! We're going again this year for her second birthday along with her Macalren! One other thing that's nice is that they come with a rain cover, and last year during a down pour, that proved to be invaluable when we wanted to go into an attraction and had to leave the stroller outside! :goodvibes

The new 2006 Techno (XT or Classic) has a zip out section on the hood that makes the hood functional for sun coverage! The older Maclaren hoods were not great for sun coverage. I was in awe of the new hood, I may end up buying one myself before our next trip!

We've taken a Volo and Quest in the past and while they work, the storage isn't the greatest. The hoods are what bugged me the most. I haven't had a Triumph, I think the seat is too shallow. I liked our Quest, loved our Techno XT when we had it, enjoyed the Volo - it's a good quick trip stroller.
