Surely as one of Disney's greatest and most famous films, the Jungle Book should have a look-in at DLP. I don't think it features prominently in any Disney park :confused3 .

Agreed; I'm surprised that they haven't tried applying a Jungle Book film to the Jungle Cruise rides around the world.

As for DLRP, I'm not sure what they could do - I still think a jungle book themed splash mountain would be great in the corner of Adventureland :goodvibes

There's an interview with one of the attraction designers where he says something like it's a 'sticks trees and leaves' film meaning there's not much of an exciting background.
peter pan has skull rock, mermaid's lagoon etc.

there is a restaurant and lots of characters.

whereas if you like atlantis or treasure planet there's zilch.

There is a jungle book float in the parade and you often see Jungle book characters round the park or at meals

So true! And wasn't the Jungle Book Walt's favourite? Or am I getting confused because it was the last movie he worked on?

The music is always playing around Colonel Hathi's....who of course was a JB character.

They're doing better than that. They're making a Jungle Cruise film with Jack Black as the Cruise skipper.

Should be interesting.

Not sure they could apply Jungle book theme to the cruise rides as the purpose of the Jungle Cruise is to have a silly entertaining jokefest and is less so much about what you see. Or at least is imho.

Jungle book does get some park time through the floats etc as mentioned by other posters, but it is funny that it gets far less time than other classics, when in actual fact Jungle Book is a far more popular film than, say Tarzan, whihc has rides (well walkthru attraction) and shows based on it. I seem to remember reading that Jungle Book is the most requested classic on home video/dvd in those times when it is out of print.

They managed to squeeze Jack Sparrow into the classic POTC attractions and Iago/Zazu into the Tiki room, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they found a way to squeeze in a couple of Jungle Book characters if they tried hard enough...

There is also a Jungle Book part in Animagique.

There are some movies that are nowhere featured in the parks.
101 Dalmatians?
Bambi?
Mary Poppins?
Mulan? (OK, I remember a Mulan parade at DL and I think there used to be a show at DLP)
Hercules?

Cruella can often be seen round the parks and there used to be a 101 dalmations float in teh cinema parade

There is currently a Mary Poppins show and she and Bert are in the OAPAD parade

We have seen Hercules for a meet and greet

How about The Aristocats???

I'd love to see the cats as well... Marie...

I would love to see Bambi in the park. I know that having Bambi as a character out in the park but what about Thumper and Flower.

Bambi is the 1st Disney film i ever saw when i was little so i love it, even if it makes me cry.
