Where to Buy Hardboiled Eggs

We usually eat a quick breakfast in the room or on the way to park to make RD. I would like to buy hardboiled eggs for snacks and breakfast. We will have a fridge in our room at POR. We will be renting a car too. I know our local grocery stores usually have them on their salad bars. Are there any grocery stores between WDW and the airport in Orlando that do? Or do any of the hotel shops or quick service have them? I don't think I could make them at home and fly them in very easily.

Also, I can't remember if the hotel gift shops or quick service have whole fruit or not. I know we could get that at a grocery store though. Thanks

Not sure if it actually works but I recently saw an electric egg cooker on QVC that might be good for you. It's called Eggspress Egg Cooker and it appeared to be small in size making it suitable for traveling. I don't recall seeing any hardboiled eggs at the food courts.

When I stayed at CBR in June I asked if they had hard boiled eggs. They brought the Chef out and he made hardboiled eggs for me.

At least some of the resorts sell them in the refrigerated case (with the premade sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, etc). They are in the $3.XX range for two eggs. Expensive but available. I don't know if all resorts have them or not.

I have cooked eggs in a kettle before! In fact it's amazing what you can cook in a kettle!,( obviously rinsing it out afterwards!!!) pasta, boiling vegs!

Garden Grocer has hard boiled eggs, and most grocery stores have hard boiled eggs as well. Like a PP said, they're usually hole and by the regular eggs in the dairy section or in the section of cold quick-grab deli selections where they have potato salads, coleslaws, sandwiches, salads etc. Also, most convenience stores have them in the cold foods section as well.

Ditto above re: Garden Grocer and most grocery stores having them. On our last trip we got the Eggland package via Garden Grocer. The eggs are hardboiled, peeled, and whole. The package is resealable with a ziploc type zipper top.

According to the website, Eggland has packs of 2, 6, or 10. I have seen then in quite a few US grocery stores in multiple states.

When I was traveling once in Texas I went to a local grocery store and could not find them -- but I asked and was taken to where they were hiding. My understanding is most grocery stores will have them, the question is where in the store it is . If not by the fresh eggs, check if they have a prepared foods area, it may be around there as a "convenience food" "to go" (that is where they are in our local grocery store; they sell them in packs of 2 for 1 or 2 $).

Also, on the trip priot to that, we got a container of two hardboiled eggs at Beach Club's Marketplace QS. It was in the cold fridge where they have yogurt, fruit, veggies, and other prepared items, to the left side of the hot food serving area.. kind of in the corner. They are not cheap (see PP), which is why we went with ordering a multipack from GG the next trip.

Definitely not regional. You probably just overlooked them as you weren't looking for them, know what I mean?

Hm. Could just be your supermarket or your town, maybe? I remember when we were driving cross country, we'd stop in supermarkets for snacks every once in awhile and we'd pass the egg section--or anywhere where it was cold really (because we were looking for the little pints of milk) and see them. But hey, could be regional, you might be right!

I think pre-made hardboiled eggs are just weird so, personally, I'd never get them, it's just salmonella to me. Pure salmonella is what I think of. ~~Salmonella~~
