Where is Dino Land? Early Spring Trip 2/27-3/9/25! Updated 4/5*

Awww šŸ˜Š thank you! Sorry to color you green, :crazy2::yoda:! Halloween is a favorite time to visit, even if it is early September haha šŸ¤£
Still counts!
It really was and I didnā€™t really care for it at all but I drank it!
I have been at all hours now and arriving around 1pm is better than midnight, crowd wise! The airport is just a cluster most times!
Huh!
I wouldā€™ve guessed the opposite.
Exactly, whiner also complained about how busy the airport is at night! Simple donā€™t drive at night dude!
:sad2:
Yes, terrible experiences with super loud neighbors! Even late at night!
Ugh.
Shut up, people!
Not yet, haha šŸ¤£ I did a few sock slides later in the trip! It was fun
:lmao:
I hope thereā€™s video!
Yes with the CM there, no luck, they had also given us a keycard and that didnā€™t work either! In the morning one of my MB worked but not all of them! I learned how to sync other MBs on the MDE app so that was a plus. It is in the resort reservation area! Now I know!
Didnā€™t know you could do that.
Exactly! It did catch up to us a few days later since we are old, haha šŸ˜†
Nah. Youā€™re young. Iā€™ve seen pictures.
No coffee, not even cold brew or fancy coffee? Iā€™m not a huge coffee drinker so it has to be good
Iā€™ll have a cup of coffee once every few years. ;)
Well, they are trialing letting everyone in at 8:30am and having resort guests scan into the rides! It helps some with the huge cluster around 9am.
Ah!
Hope that helps. Also another incentive to stay on site.
She sure is! She won many trivia contests in school related to History because of our trips to Disney! She was the only kid in her class who knew the year and name of the person who invented the first printing press haha šŸ¤£
They walk you outside past the transport ship you normally get in, you enter right in the room with all the stormtroopers. So if you havenā€™t been on the ride very much you do miss all of the pre show.
Okay!
So you still get the snarky officers and ā€œjailā€.

Joining in! Can't wait to read more!
:welcome: :cheer2:Thanks for following along!
What a nice photo of you two. :goodvibes
Awww Thank you! :welcome:
Nice! But wait, you went somewhere else and paid when an included buffet was right there?!
Haha yes, D and I both have a bit of an aversion to buffets especially in an airport lounge. :crazy2:
Just why.....? Is his business a self-therapy session?
I was in no mood to be his therapist this evening. I was tempted to tell him to shut his pie hole :lmao:
Awww, that is so awesome! Love this!
He was such a nice older guy who loved his job
This is now a thing. I struggled with that too that last 2 trips. What is WRONG with people?! šŸ˜
So loud and obnoxious just thankful it was quiet at bedtime!
I did it and hated not being a pilot. Never again.
Pilot is the best, the other positions are a tad boring šŸ˜“
The BEST!
Love Baseline! We may have to visit on our trip!
Kinda sorry I didn't do this one last trip. Haven't in years!
It was fun to do again, except I wish we would have had one of the newer scenes.
I will never in my lifetime get beyond this. I just simply suck at this ride.
Same, I have been playing this for years and my highest score is never past a beaver
Say what? I'm skeptical on this one.
Italian Beer Sangria peroni beer, st, germain, pear purƩe, orange juice and lemon juice. It was very good!
This sounds like a great trip with Andy. I'm really worried about the rides at Epic too and excited to just see everything.
It will be so much fun. Andi was here this weekend and we talked about our plans and bought our Epic tickets with our AP discount! I think she will be riding quite a few rides by herself. I will walk the queues with her.
Hello D! This is a great picture of you two.
:thanks::love:
I would really like to try some fried cauliflower.
I really enjoy it, I have had many times
Beautiful and spacious.
We loved our room
I still haven't done this.
GO TO BASELINE!!
So sorry D didn't like it. We had an awesome ride in January too.
It really scared her, she didnā€™t like her feet and but coming off the seat/floor!
I'm going to miss the Muppet area too.
Same I do love the muppets!
I haven't seen Luminous yet either. It's good to hear it's growing on you. I asked Danielle if it had started to grow on her yet, but she said she's usually in the office doing paperwork so hasn't watched it yet.
I have to say I sort of like it now! I will see if Andi likes it in September because we are staying in the Epcot area.

Here!!! Woo hoo!!! What a great surprise to find on my stressful Monday back from spring break.
:welcome: :cheer2: Happy to see you here!
Great travel day. Do you like Terminal 1 at MSP? Now that Southwest has decided to charge for luggage, I may fly other airlines home but I haven't been in Terminal 1 since like 2000.
I do like the MSP airport, designed so nicely but very big compared Terminal 2
What a room!!! We could have thrown an amazing Dis party in there. I mean, none of us were there, but still!!
It really was, we loved the roominess! I would have loved to have a Dis party!
And what a great first day. I find that FP$$ is always hard at Studios. There just isn't enough there I think. And I do love Via Napoli. but I always cancel my ressie because of festival booths. Oh well, first world problems and all that.
I agree, it is hard to get much extra at DHS, we rode most all the big ticket rides we wanted. Via Napoli is always a treat for me and a good experience all around!
Not to worry Iā€™m here now. Well actually I was here yesterday and about to comment when I heard someone throwing up ( sorry if tmi). Poor youngest son had some sort of stomach bug going on so I didnā€™t get to comment as bottles of water and sympathy from the outside of the bathroom for were in order. Heā€™s grand now so whatever it was didnā€™t last long just a bit of a shame to end his Paddyā€™s Day holidays that way but sure it coulda been worse. At least he got to enjoy the actual day
Oh no throwing up šŸ¤® Thank goodness it was short lived! Happy Belated St. Patrickā€™s Day ā˜˜ļø we celebrated with homemade Reuben sandwiches šŸ„Ŗ yummy
Ooh now I want to try the BWI as like you YC is my favourite. Iā€™ve stayed YC BC and Swan&dolphin resorts but never BWI. I love the location and Epcot is my favourite park plus my boys donā€™t really enjoy buses so itā€™s wonderful to be able to get to 2 parks using other modes of transport.
I would still say YC is my favorite out of the 3 Disney owned ones. I have never stayed at Swan or Dolphin yet! We loved the Epcot area for ease of transportation to the 2 parks, canā€™t beat it!
Maybe next time (whenever that may be) we will give BWI a go. Your room looks amazing. Big enough for a disco in there Iā€™d say.
I definitely would recommend BWI, I have stayed twice in the resort and once in the villas
Love all the photos of Andi through the years. I feel like Iā€™ve watched her grow up from reading your TRs and love all your mother/daughter trips.
Your ToT photo made me laugh. Some of those poor kids look downright terrified šŸ˜‚
Enjoying the Magic or Tragic recaps. Looking forward to reading more.
Aww thanks ā˜ŗļø I love looking at the pictures of our trips over the years! It is such a trip down memory lane
ToT scared a lot of people that day! :lmao:
Shut up, people!
Exactly, you took the words right out of my mouth!
I hope thereā€™s video!
Haha if there was I likely would have been falling down! Iā€™m not as graceful as I used to be!
Nah. Youā€™re young. Iā€™ve seen pictures.
Thank you, I use filters, here is what I normally look like :rotfl:
1742749214075.jpeg
Iā€™ll have a cup of coffee once every few years. ;)
Wow much less than me. I usually only have one cup a day!
Okay!
So you still get the snarky officers and ā€œjailā€.
Yes you still get the first order staff and interrogations!
Following! Always enjoy your TR's.
:welcome::cheer2: Happy to have you following along!
I'm here for this trip report. Love reading about all your trips.
:welcome::cheer2: Happy you are here!
Great start! Canā€™t wait to read more!
:welcome::cheer2: Happy to have you here!

Letā€™s go get that Dino!

Here we go! Day 2 and AK is the park today,

This is my favorite park and D loves it too.

We had FP$$ today for Dinosaur, Safari, and NRJ.

I must preface this post with a critical error I made this trip!

The 7 day mark came and I was ready to book the FP$$ and Fancy Ride for $$. I was clipping along and got the first part done FP$$ and decided to wait until after work to book the Fancy Ride$$ (FR$$) once I looked at our plans more closely, so I had the best times. Well, I totally forgot about it and by the time I went on to book there was nothing left except for a GotG on our last full day! I was shocked šŸ˜® because I have always been able to get a FR$$ even the day of! I found this odd. I kept trying every day and I was never able to get any other ones. We really wanted a FoP pass but no such luck. This is why we made sure to do Rise SR.

This morning, I knew we wouldnā€™t be getting to the park during the extra 30 minutes, so we didnā€™t think we would ride FoP today. :sad2:

Our plan was to arrive by 9am for our first FP$$ the Safari.

We took our first bus ride of the trip and it was a short wait and not very crowded. There were way more people waiting for the MK bus.

I love AK and was happy to arrive! The Tree of Life is such a beautiful sight! We took these pictures at 9:05am.
IMG_2025-03-22-133910.jpg
Our plan was to walk the Maharajah Trail first to see Bakso the baby tiger.

Our first predator was the Komodo dragon, he was on the move, yikes šŸ˜± terrifying creature!
IMG_2025-03-22-134807.jpg
We walked on and saw the Water Buffaloes moving about as we worked our way to the tiger area.

We had perfect timing to see the cute baby Bakso! He was playing with mom and he jumped on the water fountain to play up there! He was saying look at me I am mischievous šŸ˜ He was adorable and we had such a great view of him without a bunch of people around. I am not a photographer as you all can tell by my TRs. Iā€™m average at best. These are the pictures I got of the little cutie!
IMG_2025-03-22-134933.jpg
IMG_2025-03-22-134909.jpg
We finished walking the trail and headed to our Safari FP$

I made a Soarin FP$ for later in the day.

The Safari was awesome this morning, we saw so many animals out and about.

Look at the Hippos, rare to see two out of the water!

Zebra,

Elephant,
IMG_2025-03-23-070845.jpg
and the new male Lion, he is young because his mane is small.
IMG_2025-03-23-070949.jpg
Here are a couple pictures by Everest, this was the closest we got to the mountain! D isnā€™t much for getting her picture taken but did agree to do at least one in each park.

IMG_2025-03-23-070656.jpg

Follow me to the next postā€¦..

After our wonderful Safari, we walked the Gorilla Trails. We saw the two younger sister gorillas playing together. Grace and Ada.
IMG_2025-03-23-071103.jpg
Look at the stoic older gorilla šŸ¦ Very regal watching over everything.
IMG_2025-03-23-071138.jpg
There was an annoying lady yelling at the gorillas to look at her for a picture, ugh šŸ˜© The CM did come over and asked her not to do that. :sad2:

Insert a little PSA here: Be nice to CMs, animals, and other guests. Unfortunately, I see quite a bit of rude, entitled, and pushy guests nowadays! It does, at times, bring down the experience at Disney!

Back to the trails, we saw the cute Meerkats busily working around their home. I love the little look out guy!

They each have a job per the CM, it keeps their community running smoothly.

Next, we walked over to Pandora for our NRJ. I would say AK was busy today! We had a nice peaceful ride!
IMG_2025-03-23-071241.jpg
We decided to get the Hawks Grog Ale and a lumpia in Pandora. We love the green beer šŸŗ The lumpia was good, we each had a few bites.

Our plan was lunch at Flame Tree this time. D had never eaten there. I was sad to see that the delicious onion rings are no longer on the menu.

We decided to share the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans.
IMG_2025-03-23-071335.jpg
I mobile ordered the food and we went down to find a table behind Flame Tree. We found a nice spot and I went back up to get our food once it was ready.

We enjoyed the food and the view.

It was the first time in ages, I didnā€™t eat at Satuli Canteen.

I know Andi and I will be eating there in September.

Up next was our Dinosaur FP$. I had my Dino Institute tshirt on. We got the back row, not my favorite, it is more bumpy back there! Iā€™m glad I know all the twists, turns, and bumps.

Here we are, I am highlighting my shirt, lol šŸ˜†
IMG_2025-03-22-134133.jpg
We got a picture of me by the entrance to Dinosaur!
IMG_2025-03-22-133650.jpg
It was sad to see the walls up everywhere else. The big Dino was still there but he is now gone as well!

We headed out to the resort for a little rest before heading into Epcot.
IMG_2025-03-22-134032.jpg
I had been making reservations for rides in Epcot.

We had SE, Soarin, and LwtL on deck. It is really nice walking to Epcot from our room. We loved it. We checked the Remy single rider line and it wasnā€™t too bad so we waited and in about 15 minutes we were on. Separate rats but close to each other. I was with a mom and her young son and he was freaking out. He kept saying I want off and now! However, at the end of the ride, he was like can we go again!

We went and rode our FP$ rides before our dinner reservation. Our dinner tonight was at Rose and Crown at 8pm.
IMG_2025-03-23-071542.jpg
We checked in and were seated shortly afterwards on the patio.

I decided on the snakebite for my drink. This is half cider and half harp lager. I loved it šŸ˜Š smooth and not too sweet. D got a Golden Fox, this is half pub ale and an amber.

We shared everything for dinner, we had a scotch egg, fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding. Our food was delicious and each piece of fish was huge so plenty of food to share. The pudding was very good except it was dark by the time we had the pudding so the picture is not good.

IMG_2025-03-23-111114.jpg
We visited with the couple next to us. The one partner is employed by Disney and has been for over 35 years! They were such a nice couple. The guy who worked for Disney was more laid back and his partner was a hoot, he reminded me of Nathan Lane. He was hilarious and had us laughing so much. :rotfl:

We sat and watched Luminous with them. 2nd night and it was growing on me! The beginning is my favorite as far as the music goes. The light show and fireworks are really nice.
šŸ‘
We said goodbye to the couple and made our way back to our resort.

We had a wonderful day and evening!

Magic=seeing Bakso, great Safari, riding Dinosaur, good food and drinks, walking to Epcot from our room, meeting a fun couple at dinner, enjoying Luminous, and beautiful weather.

Tragic=No FR$$ for FoP, rude annoying guests, no more onion rings at Flame Tree and the most tragic, Where is DinoLand??, the destruction and boarding up of one of my favorite areas!

Another day in the books šŸ“š

Stay tuned for Dā€™s Birthday! Coming up soon!

Haha if there was I likely would have been falling down! Iā€™m not as graceful as I used to be!
Oh, dear.
Thank you, I use filters, here is what I normally look like :rotfl:
1742749214075.jpeg
:lmao:
Wow much less than me. I usually only have one cup a day!
One a day... one a decade... practically the same.
We had FP$$ today for Dinosaur, Safari, and NRJ.
For Dinosaur? I'm shocked! Shocked!!

;)
This morning, I knew we wouldnā€™t be getting to the park during the extra 30 minutes, so we didnā€™t think we would ride FoP today. :sad2:
Yeah... it's a great ride, but I'm not standing in line for 3 hours for it.
Nice angle. :)
Our first predator was the Komodo dragon, he was on the move, yikes šŸ˜± terrifying creature!
So dangerous... but so cool!
We had perfect timing to see the cute baby Bakso! He was playing with mom and he jumped on the water fountain to play up there!
Awww. :)
I am not a photographer as you all can tell by my TRs. Iā€™m average at best.
I think you're doing just fine. :)
Me.
Also me.
and the new male Lion, he is young because his mane is small.
I had no idea there was a new lion. Huh!
Brrr... :cold:

Nice smiles on you ladies. :)
Look at the stoic older gorilla šŸ¦ Very regal watching over everything.
He really looks protective, doesn't he?
There was an annoying lady yelling at the gorillas to look at her for a picture, ugh šŸ˜© The CM did come over and asked her not to do that. :sad2:
:sad2:

Sometimes I fear for the human race...
Insert a little PSA here: Be nice to CMs, animals, and other guests. Unfortunately, I see quite a bit of rude, entitled, and pushy guests nowadays! It does, at times, bring down the experience at Disney!
I've been hearing this more and more and... I just don't get it. I mean... I do get it... Heat + long waits = short tempers.
But... you're in Disney... relax and smile! Be nice. It's not that hard.
Back to the trails, we saw the cute Meerkats busily working around their home. I love the little look out guy!
:goodvibes
They each have a job per the CM
Interesting. Did not know that.
We decided to get the Hawks Grog Ale and a lumpia in Pandora. We love the green beer šŸŗ The lumpia was good, we each had a few bites.
I'll pass on the Ale, but will happily eat some lumpia.
Our plan was lunch at Flame Tree this time. D had never eaten there. I was sad to see that the delicious onion rings are no longer on the menu.
What?!?!?!?

It was the first time in ages, I didnā€™t eat at Satuli Canteen.
I'm very surprised at that too!
Here we are, I am highlighting my shirt, lol šŸ˜†
IMG_2025-03-22-134133.jpg
And the young man on the other end of the row is doing the same thing.
We got a picture of me by the entrance to Dinosaur!
You had to. ::yes::
The big Dino was still there but he is now gone as well!
Gee, that was quick.
It is really nice walking to Epcot from our room. We loved it.
:)
Nothing better.
We checked the Remy single rider line and it wasnā€™t too bad so we waited and in about 15 minutes we were on.
That's not bad at all.
Separate rats but close to each other.
I was with a mom and her young son and he was freaking out. He kept saying I want off and now! However, at the end of the ride, he was like can we go again!
Oh dear. Well, at least he changed his tune by the end. But surely detracted from your enjoyment.
Our dinner tonight was at Rose and Crown at 8pm.
Never eaten there. Might have to give it a whirl.
We shared everything for dinner, we had a scotch egg, fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding.
Yum!
The one partner is employed by Disney and has been for over 35 years!
Long time!
The guy who worked for Disney was more laid back and his partner was a hoot, he reminded me of Nathan Lane. He was hilarious and had us laughing so much. :rotfl:
Sounds like a fun evening. :)

I was in no mood to be his therapist this evening. I was tempted to tell him to shut his pie hole :lmao:
:lmao:yes, a sound rebuke!
He was such a nice older guy who loved his job
That's the BEST! The enthusiasm is infectious!
Pilot is the best, the other positions are a tad boring šŸ˜“
Yeah, I made the mistake of going on it as a single rider and didn't request pilot. Totally regretted it. Booooooring.
Love Baseline! We may have to visit on our trip!
We must might, although I will never forgive them for taking the coffee crusted sliced beef pastry thing off the menu.
It was fun to do again, except I wish we would have had one of the newer scenes.
Might have to put that one on our trip list. ;)
Italian Beer Sangria peroni beer, st, germain, pear purƩe, orange juice and lemon juice. It was very good!
I'd give it a try but beers definitely NOT a favorite of mine. This might make it tempting though.
This is my favorite park
YES!!!
Well, I totally forgot about it and by the time I went on to book there was nothing left except for a GotG on our last full day!
Ugh! But that's surprising that there was so little, even nothing!, left! :(
We really wanted a FoP pass but no such luck.
Well, dang it. That really stinks.
We took our first bus ride of the trip and it was a short wait and not very crowded. There were way more people waiting for the MK bus.
Small consolation for not getting a FiP for FoP ;)
Our plan was to walk the Maharajah Trail first to see Bakso the baby tiger.
I had no idea there even was one. Sadly, not a single tiger was seen in my last (Jan.) trip. :(
Sooooo cute!!!
The Safari was awesome this morning, we saw so many animals out and about.
They are definitely best in the AM first thing. I did my two first thing too and got TONS of great sightings.
You look freezing!
Grace and Ada.
IMG_2025-03-23-071103.jpg
It's crazy how big they are now. I saw Grace just a couple of days after she was born on our EPIC trip- something I'll never forget.
There was an annoying lady yelling at the gorillas to look at her for a picture, ugh šŸ˜© The CM did come over and asked her not to do that. :sad2:
Just. Shut. UP!!! That is so incredibly rude and such horrible behavior. I'm glad the CM put a stop to it.
Insert a little PSA here: Be nice to CMs, animals, and other guests. Unfortunately, I see quite a bit of rude, entitled, and pushy guests nowadays! It does, at times, bring down the experience at Disney!
It's such a shame to keep seeing more and more of this in the parks (and hotels). I really just don't get it.
Our plan was lunch at Flame Tree this time. D had never eaten there. I was sad to see that the delicious onion rings are no longer on the menu.
Been a spell since I"ve ordered from there, in fact, I think it was like 2016 with my kids!!!!! But I LOVE the seating area especially those few tables right near the water with the view to EE. I love to get a small 8 Spoons Mac Cheese and often will take it down there to enjoy the relatively quiet area and view! :goodvibes
It was the first time in ages, I didnā€™t eat at Satuli Canteen.
Good to mix it up now and then and I even contemplated trying Harambe Market in January just to give it another try. The menu is very different now then when I tried it many years ago. I didn't and opted for snacks I think? Now I don't even remember, but I did think about trying something "new" that I haven't done in quite a while.

We checked the Remy single rider line and it wasnā€™t too bad
I'd forgotten about this and ended up spending 1/2 an hour at RD for it. Won't do that again, so need to keep the SR option in mind!
The one partner is employed by Disney and has been for over 35 years!
That's quite run! Nice to see he loved his job enough to stick around that long!

I can't believe how big Bakso is getting already. I guess baby tigers grow up quickly. And I LOVE Flame Tree. This is my go to restaurant at AK. Yumm...pulled pork sammie. I might be Homer Simpson drooling right now.

We didn't get any of the Fancy Rides$$ we wanted in January. We were limited to making our LLs at 3 days out due to Danielle's tickets. I'm wondering if the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass is eating up some of the Fancy Rides.

We had perfect timing to see the cute baby Bakso! He was playing with mom and he jumped on the water fountain to play up there! He was saying look at me I am mischievous šŸ˜ He was adorable and we had such a great view of him without a bunch of people around.

How special! We can see a Tiger by visiting the LSU campus but we can't see a baby Tiger.

Look at the stoic older gorilla šŸ¦ Very regal watching over everything.
IMG_2025-03-23-071138.jpg

He always seems to be either posing or showing his rear.

Back to the trails, we saw the cute Meerkats busily working around their home. I love the little look out guy!

Love the Meerkats.

We enjoyed the food and the view.

We don't eat her much either but have always enjoyed the secluded eating areas by the water.

Here we are, I am highlighting my shirt, lol šŸ˜†

Looking good!

This looks delicious.

We visited with the couple next to us. The one partner is employed by Disney and has been for over 35 years! They were such a nice couple. The guy who worked for Disney was more laid back and his partner was a hoot, he reminded me of Nathan Lane. He was hilarious and had us laughing so much. :rotfl:

What a great visit with a CM just enjoying their time there too.

You were lucky to see a playful Bakso. It seems like we can never get the timing right to see the tigers.

I usually donā€™t buy MPLL but we did get it for AK in February. I loved having the safari ride in mid-morning. I would love to do it again next trip with additional rides at Epcot. It is the perfect combination. :)

For Dinosaur? I'm shocked! Shocked!!
Haha šŸ¤£ I wish I could make all 3 FP$$ just for Dinosaur
Yeah... it's a great ride, but I'm not standing in line for 3 hours for it.
That is what we thought. We had a plan for an evening ride, stay tuned to see if this works out!
ad no idea there was a new lion. Huh!
There is a whole new pride now! The other lions are in retirement now at a sanctuary
Sometimes I fear for the human race...
I do every single day, especially now!
I've been hearing this more and more and... I just don't get it. I mean... I do get it... Heat + long waits = short tempers.
But... you're in Disney... relax and smile! Be nice. It's not that hard.
People simply do not have manners anymore everything is just about themselves. It really is sad!
I'll pass on the Ale, but will happily eat some lumpia.
It is really good light and refreshing with a hint of apricot. It is made by a local brewery only for Pandora!
What?!?!?!?
I was really sad, I loved the onion rings at Flame Tree!
And the young man on the other end of the row is doing the same thing.
He was! Dinosaur fans are my kind of people!
Oh dear. Well, at least he changed his tune by the end. But surely detracted from your enjoyment.
His mom was next to me and he was on the end and she basically kept him covered up like she was guarding him from a murderer! :rotfl:
Never eaten there. Might have to give it a whirl.
It was very nice especially since we hadnā€™t eaten there in ages!
Sounds like a fun evening. :)
It was a very nice dinner with good company!
Yeah, I made the mistake of going on it as a single rider and didn't request pilot. Totally regretted it. Booooooring.
It is boring šŸ„± I like being a pilot for sure!
We must might, although I will never forgive them for taking the coffee crusted sliced beef pastry thing off the menu.
I never had that so canā€™t miss it! Such a nice place to relax in a very busy park
Ugh! But that's surprising that there was so little, even nothing!, left! :(
I was shocked! I wonder if the new ultra $$$$ premiere pass has something to do with it! I wonā€™t make that mistake again!
I had no idea there even was one. Sadly, not a single tiger was seen in my last (Jan.) trip. :(
He is so cute! I think he is about 5 months old now
They are definitely best in the AM first thing. I did my two first thing too and got TONS of great sightings.
I agree, I was happy to see the hippos out of water!
You look freezing!
Haha we are good at it, living where we do!
It's crazy how big they are now. I saw Grace just a couple of days after she was born on our EPIC trip- something I'll never forget.
I feel the same way. Andi and I have watched Grace and Stella the elephant grow up!
Just. Shut. UP!!! That is so incredibly rude and such horrible behavior. I'm glad the CM put a stop to it.
It really is annoying and the older I get I find myself wanting to open my mouth and tell them this is not appropriate ugh šŸ˜£
It's such a shame to keep seeing more and more of this in the parks (and hotels). I really just don't get it.
No manners left in this country and it keeps getting worse
Good to mix it up now and then and I even contemplated trying Harambe Market in January just to give it another try. The menu is very different now than when I tried it many years ago. I didn't and opted for snacks I think? Now I don't even remember, but I did think about trying something "new" that I haven't done in quite a while.
I thought of that as well! I am taking a short Memorial Day trip solo and I may try Harambe or eight spoons.
I'd forgotten about this and ended up spending 1/2 an hour at RD for it. Won't do that again, so need to keep the SR option in mind!
The single rider works great especially if they open it right at 9am!

Haha šŸ¤£ I wish I could make all 3 FP$$ just for Dinosaur
That is what we thought. We had a plan for an evening ride, stay tuned to see if this works out!
popcorn::
There is a whole new pride now! The other lions are in retirement now at a sanctuary
Really! Had no idea.
People simply do not have manners anymore everything is just about themselves. It really is sad!
:sad2:
I was really sad, I loved the onion rings at Flame Tree!
If they get rid of the ones at 50s Prime Time too, Iā€™m gonna revolt!
He was! Dinosaur fans are my kind of people!
::yes::
His mom was next to me and he was on the end and she basically kept him covered up like she was guarding him from a murderer! :rotfl:
:lmao:

It is boring šŸ„± I like being a pilot for sure!
Let's see if we make a good team.

Or crash and flame out with 1 cannister.
I never had that so canā€™t miss it! Such a nice place to relax in a very busy park
The charcuterie is pretty decent too! I wish I liked beer, but the signature cocktail is pretty good too.
I was shocked! I wonder if the new ultra $$$$ premiere pass has something to do with it! I wonā€™t make that mistake again!
Sure could be! I honestly don't know much about it at all, but a possibility.
Haha we are good at it, living where we do!
LOL! Yeah, I can imagine!
I feel the same way. Andi and I have watched Grace and Stella the elephant grow up!
:goodvibes

The filter is getting thinner and thinner. :/
I thought of that as well! I am taking a short Memorial Day trip solo and I may try Harambe or eight spoons.
Both look like/are good places for a small plate if you're a grazer. In fact, I think AK is the best park for that (other than EPCOT Festival food). Eggrolls at Y&Y are okay too.

I can't believe how big Bakso is getting already. I guess baby tigers grow up quickly. And I LOVE Flame Tree. This is my go to restaurant at AK. Yumm...pulled pork sammie. I might be Homer Simpson drooling right now.
He really is and always looks like he wants to be mischievous
I have missed Flame Tree and was happy to try it again! I really missed the onion rings
We didn't get any of the Fancy Rides$$ we wanted in January. We were limited to making our LLs at 3 days out due to Danielle's tickets. I'm wondering if the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass is eating up some of the Fancy Rides.
I was thinking the same thing about the LLPP! I canā€™t believe people are buying that but apparently they are! I will not be missing that at my 7 day window ever again!
How special! We can see a Tiger by visiting the LSU campus but we can't see a baby Tiger.
He is really cute and so playful
He always seems to be either posing or showing his rear.
I agree! He is a little performer already for all his guests!
We don't eat her much either but have always enjoyed the secluded eating areas by the water.
The seating is wonderful and the food was good for something different
This looks delicious.
The fish and chips was delicious. I was surprised how good it was!
What a great visit with a CM just enjoying their time there too.
It really was! His partner was a hoot!
You were lucky to see a playful Bakso. It seems like we can never get the timing right to see the tigers.
I was so happy with our luck and no one was in the way to watch him for awhile!
I usually donā€™t buy MPLL but we did get it for AK in February. I loved having the safari ride in mid-morning. I would love to do it again next trip with additional rides at Epcot. It is the perfect combination.
I really like using it. I have a hard time waiting in long lines now since we really never had to! Andi was a wizard with the old FP system!

Hi Caroline! So sad I just missed you on this trip! I think the one day we overlapped I was on a mission to get these stupid light pink crocs (that I never did find in my size) and I walked into and out of DHS for maybe 20 minutes! But wasn't the weather just perfect?? So happy you got to have an amazing trip with your sister and I'm sorry for you that Dinosaur is no more. I rode it one last time this trip and I was thinking of you

Let's see if we make a good team.
Iā€™m positive we will!
The charcuterie is pretty decent too! I wish I liked beer, but the signature cocktail is pretty good too.
I love the little charcuterie tray, the Mango cart beer is very light and refreshing
Both look like/are good places for a small plate if you're a grazer. In fact, I think AK is the best park for that (other than EPCOT Festival food). Eggrolls at Y&Y are okay too.
I will keep this in mind in May!

Hi Kelly! I was hoping to run into! I hope we can meet up again to spend some time together
Haha šŸ˜‚ with the crocs! We were on a mission for the perfect Star Wars shirt for D and never did find it!
The weather was beautiful and no humidity loved that since my next 3 trips coming up will be in the heat and humidity of Florida! Thank goodness I really donā€™t mind the hot weather!
I know you arenā€™t a big fan of Dino, I will have a few more rides on it, yay!

Magic Kingdom for a girlā€™s birthday why yes!

Today was Dā€™s 29th Birthday šŸŽ‰ haha šŸ˜‚ well with the filters a girl can pretend!

Our plan was MK, we had FP$$ on deck with HM, PoTC, and Tiana. Again, we did not rush for the extra 30 minutes. I find you do so much waiting during this lame extra 30 minutes that we just didnā€™t do it at all this trip. :sad2:

We had coffee and yogurt and headed to the bus stop around 8:25. We actually didnā€™t have much of a wait and we got seats, so I call that a win. Our bus had a Figment overlay, I thought this was funny for MK!

We arrived and took in the sights of the beautiful castle and headed to Jungle Cruise. The wait was very minimal. This side of the park had just opened. It was a fun first ride with many dad jokes to be had! ā€œO2H, O2H the backside of water!šŸ’¦
Next was POtC with our FP$$. This was a walk on for SB so we did that first and went around to ride again with our FP$$. I was hoping for the front of the boat but no such luck, we got the 5th row both times.

D had her Birthday Button on, and she was getting a lot of Birthday wishes. My son Jack was also born on 3/2, he shares a Birthday with his Aunty D.

We had HM next, I stopped to call Jack to wish him a Happy Birthday šŸŽ‚ He was going to his favorite Dim Sum restaurant for lunch with his girlfriend. We talked for a little bit before getting to HM. We did the same thing at HM, we rode first with a 15 minute wait in SB and again with our FP. It was nice to get 2 rides in on 2 of my favorites! I was trying to modify a PPF I got after tapping in at Pirates. I worked on this while we were in the line. I was able to get it for 1pm yay! It was not easy, so much phone time to do it. :thumbsup2

We loved our time on HM and next time we wonā€™t forget our death certificate haha šŸ¤£

We had some time to kill so we rode IaSW next. It was a relaxing boat ride. We got called into the FP line because they needed a party of 2 that was nice! šŸ˜Š

I got us a Little Mermaid pass for right after a small world.

On our way over we went to Gastonā€™s Tavern to try a couple new treats! The line was long but it did go fast. D tried to find a spot for us to sit, however, nothing so she went over towards the bathrooms behind Gastonā€™s and sat on the ledge. I ordered us the Ham and GruyĆØre tart and the CrĆØme BrĆ»lĆ©e Croissant, this was filled with a vanilla bean custard.

We shared both. This was my first time trying both of these and wow, delicious and delightful. I would definitely recommend both. The tart was the perfect savory and the croissant was the perfect sweet dessert. A little messy to eat especially on a ledge but the perfect Birthday snack!

We had to wash our hands thoroughly after this. The bathrooms behind Gastonā€™s are nice because somewhat hidden never too crowded.

We went to ride LM next,

I got us a FP for Dumbo next.

Here we are with our new HM sun glasses. We bought these and a HM lug crossbody bag. I will show that in another post! I love the sunglasses, however, they have a mirror type lens and my facial recognition on my phone wouldnā€™t work, ugh! Anyone know how to change that? I know you can do a mask facial recognition. I had to pull up my glasses every time I used my phone šŸ“±
IMG_2025-03-29-071928.jpg
We took the train over to Tianaā€™s Bayou. I love the train and I am so happy it is back! We did a few silly ā€œfilteredā€ train pics.
IMG_2025-03-29-072034.jpg

It was time for our ride on TB, the place was packed. I was really happy to have a FP$$ for this.

We had a fun ride. I do enjoy this one. I also love that it is a longer attraction.

Here we are in the back!
IMG_2025-03-29-073234.jpg

We decided to do Country Bears Jamboree. D had not seen the new version. Both of us enjoyed the show.

We took the train again to Fantasy Land for our PPF.

I showed D the Scentsy Elephants. We were able to smell the caramel popcorn, cotton candy, and citrus šŸŠ It is a cute little activity in Storybook Circus. We checked out the store and looked at all the goodies in the bakery case.

It was time for Peter Pan. I love this short little dark ride. It sure is a short one.

Our plan was to take a ride on the people mover in tomorrow land. I forgot to get a foot picture. I was bad with pictures this day. I got this interesting picture! :confused3
IMG_2025-03-29-072212.jpg
We decided to head out for a rest. I bought D a balloon for her birthday. She loves balloons and bought balloon bouquets every year for my kids. They always looked forward to Dā€™s balloon bouquets!

I bought the balloon and we headed out.
