Where can I get a free disney pin in Disney World?

Try MousePinsOnline.com. They have reasonably priced pins and they are definitely tradable. We traded about 30 of them over the past 2.5 weeks.

I didn't know about the Jiff or the Fruit Snack offers! Thanks!

We bought two packs of Energizer batteries at Meijer tonight, with the pins. And, when we bought the batteries, we got a 12 pack of Coke! They are still out there, you just have to look a little harder.

Last year when we were at The World of Disney, my daughter was trying to find a pin that my son wanted. She told the CM which pin it was, and that she was trading her own pin for one for her brother. The CM told us to wait a minute while she left. When she came back, she gave my daughter the pin. She was excited, my son was excited, I was excited! I just love Disney!!! (It was a really cool pin too, it was Buzz Lightyear, and he lights up!)

We just bought some pins off of Ebay to trade in the parks. They are just like some pins my son traded for in the past. Kids really don't care if they are trading for inexpensive or valuable pins for the most part. They are just having fun.

Ozymoe - My DD participated in the child's pin trade at the Contemporary last summer and she loved it!!! I think the most you can trade is 5 pins, and the kids go in a partitioned area to trade. My DD was so pleased with her "finds" - in fact, she ran over to the "gate" to show me one she found for her sister, and the lady had to remind her she had to trade by herself. (She was just so excited to have found the one for her sister; she didn't mean any harm).

Anyway, glad to know they still do this. We'll try it again this summer!!! My DD loves trading pins!!! And we let her trade for whatever ones she wants. I get some of the "cheaper" Disney pins from online and she either keeps them or trades them - she is starting a Stitch collection now!

Have a great time pin trading everybody!!!!!

Another Diser PMed me to ask if the children had to go into another room to trade...so I thought I'd clarify this on the thread. You can see your child at all times...the partition is waist high and the "room" is really just an area made by tables and (fences?...lol...I don't know why, but I seem to remember white picket fences...) At any rate, whatever they use, it is disassembled after this "junior trade show" is over and it all goes away until the next one.

Your children ARE visible (and within earshot) the entire time...just that adult advice is not part of their trading experience...other than the CMs. I think that's why the kids love this so much...I guess you could say it gives them a taste of indepindence!

I saw some pins last week for $1.99 at the Belz Outlet

My advice about BELZ and pins. Don't rely on getting them. Pins were the only thing not discounted when we were there. They either have very few marked down, and/or they sell very quickly.

I know the energizer free pins are hard to find but can someone tell me if they were only distributed to certain stores or should I just look at every store I go into that sells batteries? Thanks

When are you going to MK???

I ask because, right now there is a coupon that you get when you pay to park at TTC that gets you 2 free pins in MK. The promo just started a couple of days ago - not sure how long it will last. :)

We are going to MK tomorrow sure hope this is still going on, anyone know???

And maybe I missed it but what time and day is this kid trading at the Contemporary??? TIA all. :bounce:

Last fall, if I remember correctly, it was on Friday around 6pmish...but I would ask at guest services in the MK...they should know if anyplace would.

I think Disney Visa has had deals on pins too. You show your Disney Visa at certain places ( Pin place at DTD), and you qualifiy for an exclusive pin - that I think was at a bargain price.

Many of the pins are around $6.95. Some of the fancier ones are around $10, maybe $12.

Just check any where that sells the batteries. I always check at the very back of the hanging display of each row. Some places, as they replace batteries, just put them out in the front of each row instead of moving the older batteries to the front. :goodvibes

I agree. We went to BELZ/Primus twice last year and had totally different experiences. In August 2005, there were no discounted pins anywhere to be found. In November 2005, we got several pins for $2.99 each. They all had a theme or event that already had passed, like the Epcot Garden Festival, Independence Day, Mother's Day, etc. I guess it's just the luck of your timing there.

I just purchased a lot of inexpensive trading pins on Ebay. I paid $20 for 10 of them--the seller was very friendly and they were shipped quickly. I think it's a great option for inexpensive pins.

Incidentally, if anyone had an extra Universal Meal & Movie coupon from the Entertainment Book, I would happy to trade for a pin. PM me if you're interested.

My DS4 got a free pin at the dinisaur dig ste at AK from the CM because he fel down and skinned his knee and was bleeding all over the place. I don't necessarily promote this idea to get a free pin though. MY DS had never done any pin trading before so he didn't have a clue what she was saying to him, she just kept saying take any pin you want and keep it. So, he picked the one with letters on it (he is fascinated with words now) and it was he Disney Diversity pin. The CM kept trying to talk him out of the pin... I just kept telling her he likes words and doesn't have a clue what it is for really. I have it hanging up on my CKU lanyard in my car but he asked for it back and asked for a lanyard (he caled it a badge) of his own so eh can get lots of pins...

So we are embarking on the pin trading thing and I tild him I would get some more pins on ebay and he asked whats ebay...

I am not telling him that one yet. He's a shopaholic already as it is.

does anyone know anymore about getting a discounted pin at DTD pintrader with your disney visa?

I was there yesterday it's a 2006 pin, I think w/tink on it and it's 6.95.

Just an FYI, my travel agent offers each child of any family booking through her, a free lanyard with pins. If you're booking anyway, why not get some magic! :goodvibes

Feel free to email or PM me for more info!

:sunny: Take care all and have a great trip!
