This is related to my staging thread, but people might not read that thread, but might know where I can find cheap air mattresses & expensive LOOKING bedding, but for a CHEAP price.... ??

How cheap is cheap? MIL got some great airbeds at Menard's for under $50 each. Nice & tall so they'd look like platform bed height. Target sells them & I think BBB or Linen's & Things - find one of their 20% coupons. Ross sells some nice bedding really cheap or Kohl's on clearance. Also try craigslist, I've seen some redecorating & listing bedding in good shape cheap. Then you can just re-sell when done if you want.

Well, we'll need FOUR of them, so the cheaper the better! Maybe I'll check Craigslist for the airbed... I already checked for bedding, but no luck....

Get the bedding at Tuesday Morning. Very nice things at a nice price, and they wear well. Don't buy bedding in a size that does not match your real beds, you'll want to be able to re-use it later.

We don't have a Tuesday Morning, but we have a Big Lots, I think that might be the same kind of store, I've never been in there, but I'll check it out...

Great idea about getting sizes we can re-use ourselves, that's a great idea, thank you! In fact I can use some of our extra sheets to start the process.... once I get the air mattresses....

Now I need to figure out what to do about bureaus.....

I'm going to get artwork at Target I think....

Before you buy artwork at Target, check your Big Lots. Sometimes the one near me has really big framed artwork for next to nothing.

Are there any furniture renting places near you? Here, I guess because of the amount of corporate relocations, there are places that you can rent furniture, bedding, etc. from for a reasonable amount. It is decent furniture (solid wood in a lot of cases) and can be rented from a week to a month, to several months.

I know someone who temporarily furnished her whole house that way and the furniture was really nice.

Depending on the length of time involved, you mght find that is less expensive then buying stuff you don't really need.

Good luck!

You might check overstock.com for either the air mattress or the bedding. They usually have some good deals, and the shipping is cheap.

My target has some really nice bedding on clearance right now. I saw some beautiful quilts and comf. sets all under $20.

How about Value City and TJ Maxx for the sheets and artwork? Depending on where you live you may find cheap artwork at a flea market too.

Now I need to figure out what to do about bureaus.....
How about Salvation Army and Goodwill? Or even garage sales and estate auctions. Last auction I went to the furniture sold very low because the antique dealers were there for the glassware and advertising signs.

Do you really need sheets on the beds? As long as the comforter/bedspread covers the whole bed, you shouldn't need sheets, right? People will just be looking, not sleeping, right? Just trying to save you a few bucks!

Cheap airmatresses - Wal-mart
Yup- try ther camping section. I got a really nice queen size double height (same height as a regular bed) air matress with electric pump for less than $40. We use it when guests come, and it is really comfy.

I saw on HGTV that they just use a regular single inflate air mattress and put rubbermaid plastic totes underneath to create the illusion of a frame and boxspring. It also doubles as a place to hide some of your other "stuff" that is around the house. I can always use extra totes for something.
Good Luck.:thumbsup2
