It's been a long time since I've seen 70 degrees here in North Dakota. Heck, we are just now seeing 32 and above. It looks like the forecast for the next 2 weeks in Orlando will be right around 70. I'm struggling on whether to pack shorts or pants. I'm thinking both, but any thoughts from those who have been to WDW with those temps? Thanks!

I would pack both shorts and pants. During the day shorts should be ok, but at night it will cool off and you will want the long pants. After experiencing the temps you have had lately 70 degrees is going to fee quite balmy.

capris for days and maybe pack a extra pair of jeans for evenings and with the weather has been acting take along a hoodie or light jacket/sweatshirt.

Have fun, our snow here in Nebraska is finially melting and no below freezing temps for the next week- Spring??? I sure hope so I'm tired of this winter.

Im from Illinois. I will be heading down here in March what should i expect the weather to be like?

We were just down a couple of weeks ago. Coming from freezing NJ, we we were in bathing suits at the pool on the one day that it hit 70.

After 4 months of the coldest winter I've ever experienced in my ten years living in Texas, the sun came out and it peaked at 68 degrees yesterday!:cool1:
It's still weather for long pants, but more for comfort, not because it feels chilly. It's slightly less warm than room tempature outside so shorts would work but jeans are better. Wear a hoodie around your waist to put on when the sun goes down. It's still chilly at night (50 degrees!)
You will not believe what the sun and 70 degrees doesn to your mood! I feel AMAZING!!!:goodvibes

It will probably feel like 90 to you:lmao:. When we went in December it was sunny and 65. Shorts and a sweatshirt seemed just right. Have a great trip.

I love it!

I moved here from NJ last year and would come down here and do just what you all did.

One year later, and I won't go in the water for any weather under 80!

I would just pack pants only. Take out the guesswork. It will be somewhat cool in the mornings and evenings, so you may be cold in shorts at those times. 70 shouldn't be an uncomfortable temperature for pants.

We are going in a 1 1/2 weeks and I'm planning on just taking capri pants and short sleeve t-shirts. I'll also have a jacket or sweatshirt with me to wear in the early morning and evening hours. I'm hoping with the time changing before we go it won't be to in the earlier evening hours.

I agree. We went it December once and as long as you have a sweatshirt, shorts work okay.

And just as a side note, you are not a "Northener". Heck, here in Toronto, I don't even consider myself a Northener. Maybe if I was from Sudbury.:rotfl2:

We were there in January. I'd take one pair of shorts, one pair of capris and lots of jeans. A couple of t-shirts and lots of long sleeves and sweat shirts. At night and first thing in the morning it was chilly. I'm a weather wimp and I live in the arctic :rotfl: DD5 wore light gloves most mornings :goodvibes If I had gloves I would have worn them, seriously :rotfl2: It seemed really windy when we were there so that made it seem colder a lot of the days.

We'll be going down on March 15th and the forecast is definately for cooler weather than normal for March -- highs around 70s like you say (average highs are 78 0r 79 in March for the Orlando area). For me highs inthe 70s means jeans/T-shirt weather with a sweatshirt for the morning and a fleece jacket for at night. The sun plays a huge factor in how warm or cold you feel, and whether that sweatshirt or fleece is on or off. Shorts, though, and a swim suit take very little space. I'll take a two pair and a swimsuit just in case. The weather can change quickly. We had very similar weather temperature in the summer in Victoria, B.C. on a recent trip we took, and it is pleasant for touring, especially if there is sun.

Pack both, layers are good one good warm jacket too just in case. My motto is better to have than not have especially with this kind of weather one day warm next day freezing rain.

Good luck and have fun:thumbsup2
