My DH and I are heading out to Anaheim for our first ever trip to Disneyland. We live in S. Florida and have been to WDW over 75 times in the past 19 years.

I want to know what and where you like to eat at DLR. I'm talking Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks in betweenpopcorn::. I've been researching and have read about the Cinnamon Rolls at The River Belle Terrace, the Pomme Frittes at Cafe Orleans, and everything at The Blue Bayou and now I would love to hear from YOU!

Please include pictures if you can :earsboy:

My absolute favorites are the corn dogs (don't leave DL without at least trying one, they are the best!) and the chicken alfredo pasta from Plaza Inn. On the right hand side of main street at the end right before you hit tomorrow land.
I absolutely love both of those!

My fav is Cafe Orleans in general never had a bad meal there, love love loove the gumbo and the pomme frites as well as those delish biengets(sp) the monte cristo although thats one to share..... but I could totally live on the gumbo, I may still have the pics on photo bucket ill check and post em if i can find em!!

For DH its the corn dogs. Preferrably from Corn Dog Castle, but he is happy to settle for the ones in DL. Yes, he knows they are the same. He also loves the cream cheese pretzels.

Me? I love a Monte Cristo, but its not an every trip must have. Churros and ice cream from gibson girl are definitely required though. A healthy diet is nearly non existant for us when we're at disney!

Can't help much with dining options other than the River Belle has a great BBQ sandwich. We were not overly impressed with our choices last time but this time plan on trying more options.

I do however 2nd the Mickey Pretzel with Cream or Jalapeno Cheese. And while at Coke Corner a must have is a CHERRY coke.
Also we have to have a churro each time. And we loved the caramel popcorn.

Have a great trip!

It just came out a few months ago but the Fried Green Tomato sandwich with Sweet potato fries at Hungry Bear Restaurant is sooooooooo AMAZING! my new absolute favorite!

My favorite snack was the popcorn at various carts, and the giant krispy treats in the candy store on Main Street. Also, the potato soup at Carnation Cafe is the best I've ever had.

My whole family loves Goofy's Kitchen, my personal favorite is the Louisiana Scramble, very nice.

Corn dogs from the red wagon and the carmel and milk chocolate apple at Poohs Corner. Love ice cream from Gibson Girl.

This made me laugh. EVERY SINGLE trip at Disney my mom has to buy the Rice krispy treats. She stocks up on them and eats them like crazy. So I pictured her eating them when I read your post. ;)
and I second the potato soup!

We like going to the Blue Bayou. It is pricey, but we go during lunch and it works out for us. My husband gets the prime rib, but it isn't always on the menu. I liked the starter salad with champagne vinaigrette and sausage. You need to make Priority Seating arrangements because it is a popular restaurant. IMO it is worth the extra wait to request a waterfront table. You can watch all the boats go by from Pirates ride.

Another item we like is the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. It is big enough to share. It has 3 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, veggies and a biscuit.

For sweets, you just can't beat a Dole Whip. Get one and take it into the Tiki Room. This show is different than the one at WDW.

At California Adventure, we go the the Pacific Wharf Cafe and order a clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl.

I HTH. Enjoy your trip!

The Carnation Cafe gets another vote from me, there's plenty on the menu.

Napa Rose is a beautiful restaurant with some great food.

The Blue Bayou is not to be missed, but personally I only go there for the atmosphere, as the food isn't as good as what can be found at other places in the parks.

Ralph Brennan's at DTD is also great.

Naples at DTD has the best ham and pineapple pizza I've ever eaten! :rotfl:

We really like Carnation Cafe, haven't had a bad thing there yet, the loaded baked potato soup is so yum, Cafe Orleans we like the pomme fries and the house salad, it has an amazing dressing on it, it was major delish! DD likes their mac 'n cheese.

For snacks we love the churros, red wagon corn dog, the cheeto's from the snack stand, they are expensive, but man are they good, fudge, must have fudge from the candy shop on main street, dole whips, pickles

Taste Pilots Grill was good, about the only decent burger we had there.

I also love the Corn Dogs. I had my first Corn Dog ever at DCA and developed a taste for them, but I never found one elsewhere that was quite as nice.

My favourite though are the Vegetable Chilli or the Corn Chowder in the sour dough bread bowl at Pacific Wharf Cafe.

REALLY swant to try those!!
OK..breakfast: White Water Snacks breakfast burrito or River Belle Terrace
Lunch: Corn dog, Cafe Orleans, River Belle Terrace or ribs at Taste Pilots Grill
Dinner: Steakhouse 55, Rancho whatever it;s called for Mexican in DLR or soup breadbowl at Pacific Wharf
snacks: popcorn, churro, Dole Whip or a giant cookie

Carnation Cafe does have a lot of great foods....and if you stop there, be sure to ask if Oscar is working! He's an original.....as in he has worked at the park from the beginning and has some wonderful stories to tell about "back then", Walt, etc.

For DL park I like the BBQ pork sandwich at Riverbelle Terrace..yummm :goodvibes. I have yet to try the Potato soup at Carnation Cafe but ressies have been made for this trip!! I also like to get a Vanilla or Cherry coke at Coke Corner, they use real syrup so it tastes delish!! I have never had a bad meal at Rancho del Zocalo..I think that is the name of it ..:rotfl: I am determined to try the fish tacos this trip..they looked so good last time!!
At DCA I like Taste Pilots for their ribs and my fave burger ever..the Wild Blue Yonder..it has bbq sauce, crumbled bleu cheese and an onion ring on it..soo good!!But my all time fave meal in DCA is the Tri-tip at the Little Mermaid Character meal..It melts in your mouth. :cloud9:

Love the Pomme Frites and Gumbo like a lot of the OP's. Breakfast @ Carnation Cafe', Oscar's Special is really good. The soup in the bread bowls and Pacific Warf in DCA is great too. Love the MIckey shaped pretzels and a must have for us are the skewers at Bengal BBQ. :)

Hope you have a wonderful trip! :)

Not much of a breakfast in the parks kind of guy, I usually like getting Mint Juleps and Mickey shaped beignets at the French Market in New Orleans Square in the morning. Eating those and people watching in New Orleans square is always nice. Of course the churros (can never go wrong with some churros.)

For lunch Bengal Barbecue, Redd Rocketts Pizza Port and Plaza Inn are some of my favorites in DL, in DCA its Award Weiners or Corndog Castle. Dinner we usually mix it up, Blue Bayou is great if you don't mind the pricing, Rainforest Cafe and Ralph Brennans are also nice in DTD. Many choices in the parks. Hope you have a good time.
