What is the most common jeans size for men?

We were having this dicussion at lunch today. Someone mentioned 34x34 is the most common. That is what my ds wears and he is at least 6'4, 197 lbs. Not many guys I know are that size. So...what size jeans does the man/men in your life wear? Dh wears 30x34.

In college I worked in the men's jeans department. Younger men mostly wore 34s. Older men usually wore 36s.

My husband is in his 40s & wears a 36 x 34, 35 waist when I can find them.

DH is 6 feet even, and I'm 5' 6" but we both wear the same length (32 inches). So you can have a big difference in height but still have an average length in the legs.

My hubby is of the "pooh sized" man....so he comes in at a 40x30

DS16 is a 36x34

DS14 is a 30x32

I am about 6'0, 150lbs and depending on the brand of jeans I wear either 30x34 or 32x34.

I think your waist sizes are too small, I suspect the average waist size for men is about 36.........maybe even 38. I'm dieting, but I think my hip bones are 36 inches around without the padding.
Inseam I would guess about 30 is average.

depending on the brand I'll wear either a 36 x 34 or a 34 x 34.

I'm 6'5 and about 225.

DH prefers 33x34 when I can find them... if I can't find them, he'll take a 34x34 and hold them up with a belt.

My DH is a 32x32, he's not that happy about that. He wants to be 30x32. I think he's pretty great with the fact he is 42.

DH wore 34x32 for a long time- due to "middle age spread", he has recently gone up to 36x32.

Your sizes are woefully inadequate.

I would imagine most men are between 34 and 40. DH is a 36x32 and can NEVER find his size. They are always out.

DH has a 36 waist. Not sure on the length, he always wears shorts (except for work).

There is a limit to how many choices you can put in a poll otherwise I would've put more. But the men in my life are both tall and fairly thin so that's why I started on the lower end of sizing. I did ask 2 more women here and they said 36x30 and 36x32. One is in his mid-30s, the other in his mid-60s.

Partner wears 30 X 32 or 31 X 32 depending on the jeans (ie. True Religion versus Guess) and I wear 32 X 32 for the most part.

Edit: To add, I think in general, because of the obesity issue in this country, the average size would be closer in the range of 34 - 36. It's kind of interesting that some companies, just 5 years ago wouldn't carry sizes above 36s in "designer" jeans, but now carry up to 40s.
