What is the best time of year for Vero Beach

Hello!

We want to try out Vero Beach but I don’t know a whole lot about Florida weather and natural elements. This is what I think we are looking for:

Temperature of 70-85
Not enough love bugs to deter us from sitting at the pool or beach
Low(ish) risk of hurricane

Does such a time exist? Is there any other things we should be concerned about?

You should consider the late Fall season (October to early November) since most people are in school or work at that point.

That’s a great question. When do southern American schools end? Where I live they go until about mid-June.

a lot are trying to get done by Memorial Day (when I was a kid, that week of Memorial Day Monday was the last)

Hurricane season is June-November. The majority of storms will be in September/October but can happen at any time during the season. It’ll also be brutally hot during these months and rainy. Our winters are very nice. December would be a good time. There are potential for cold fronts December-March, but can be some hotter days for sure. March would be a good time with warmer weather not a lot of rain and no hurricanes

To be fair, they *can* happen any time. They are just more likely during "season".

I want to know as well.

I went overnight last May and had great weather...there was a breeze so not too hot and we didn't encounter any bugs. I loved it there

But now I am bound to the school calendar so can't go in May....and I've seen vlogs from summer saying the bugs are a big problem

I live a couple hours north of Vero and March through May are my favorites temp wise. The humidity is usually lower although some days will be worse than others but it's the drier season here. Beach side will always be cooler than anywhere inland and you get a good breeze until August. IMO Aug-mid Oct are the worst times of year to be in FL. Highest humidity and hurricane risk. If you're from the north your brain says the temp should be getting milder but IRL your face is melting due to the humidity. June and July aren't too bad for a beach trip just expect afternoon thunderstorms and don't overdo it in the sun . Love bugs have kind of disappeared in FL over the last few years so that shouldnt be an issue but I don't know what the mosquito and gnat situation is at Vero

As a Floridian that’s honestly something I had no clue could happen lol
