We havent been to Universal in years and are getting AP's so I have been checking hotel rates daily. I am hoping some frequent visitors can share their book immediatly rates so I know what to look for. We do have a few weeks in mind but have some flexibility so I am trying to plan our dates for the best pricing I can get--I just dont know what that is, lol

The nice thing is, if you think it's a good rate, you can book it and cancel or modify later with no penalty (refundable up to 5-6 days out).

Play around with the dates and see the ranges. Hotel pricing can also give you an idea of when Universal expects their parks to be busier...

Also check AP rates. I don't know which are typically better, but the AP rates have been being screwy lately and offering random days at surprisingly low rates. I saw RP club level 2 queen AP priced below "standard view" 2 queen AP, quite sure that's a mistake! But since we're just doing 1 day at Epic we're going with a cheaper hotel.

So I have Cabana Bay for $85 which is a lovely rate, it's not usually below $100 for AP rate.

I've got HRH for around $395 a night in early may, the same dates a family suite at cabana bay is around $230 so I consider $395 a good rate for a premier hotel - that's with an AP rate.

It's so dependent on time of year too, and Fri/Sat nights vs weeknights. I got RP for I believe $253 in Jan, and Endless Summer resort was $74. Sat night was running about $150 I think.
The 2024 Endless Summer AP prices last week of Oct vs first week of Nov were about $10 more for Oct , which is a decent percentage when it's $84 vs $93. Premier hotels were riding around $280-$350 those weeks IIRC.

Thanks for the #s thats exactly what I was looking for. I saw Portifino pop up for 290 and its now 350, so Im learning quickly :) I have been focusing my search on early May and July for now.

Can you share what the price and time of year was? I have been searching with the AP link from UO website but have only seen FL resident rates. I was thinking its because there are no AP rates but maybe I need to uncheck the resident box

Try the link from the AP rate thread sticky here:
https://res.windsurfercrs.com/ibe/d...hildren=0&promo=aph&iata=&group=&hotels=&ada=

Link looks odd but it is a direct official Loews/Universal booking site.

It would have been a week or two before Thanksgiving, or a week or two after. I've been stalking a few options. But AP rates are out through at least Dec now, so you should be seeing them except for really busy nights.

Thanks for the link, its easier to keep it bookmarked! I was going back and forth between the standard rates as a resident and AP rates in the link and they are the same, for my dates anyways. Thats interesting--now Ill have to keep checking both. Any FL residents that know if they are ever different?

This week I booked for early January 2026 on Priceline at Terra Luna for four nights in a standard room with a rate of $103. Originally had a reservation through Universal with my AP rate of $133. Saved $120 because someone on Reddit mentioned to check rates periodically as they do change.

They change their rates almost on a daily basis, so you should always keep checking. My bet is that your date in Jan 2026 will go down with Universal themselves too as it gets closer.
