Day 29, September 11

Another snack from the Enchanted Grove

It was a pretty hot afternoon and lateron, after a few more rides we got

another Raspberry Lemonade Slush from the Enchanted Grove. It was real good to have something cold and refreshing, even though I always have a hard time drinking it! It kind of freezes my mouth! :lmao:

IMG_8164.jpg

Tom just had a Diet Coke and we all sat down inside Cosmic Rays. We spent our last half hour chatting and having fun. But then it was time to say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom and Mary Ellen and Joe!

How much did we actually cost Disney?
54 dining credits
36 snack credits
Columbia Harbour House ...... 63,80 (4 DC ......... 2 DC remain)
2 Refillable Mugs ...... 29,80
Enchanted Grove ...... 6,60 (2 snack credits ......... 21 snack credits remain)
Cost altogether ..... 1717,60$

420$ - 1717,60$ = 1297,60$

Next up - A final lunch at Wolfgang Puck's Express

Day 29, September 11

Late Lunch at Wolfgang Puck's Express

Once we had left the Magic Kingdom, we went over to Downtown Disney for our traditional last Wolfgang Puck's Express Lunch.

IMG_8185.jpg

I wanted to try something new for us, the Traditional Margherita Pizza - with torn basil. A very basic, cheese, tomato and basil pizza, but it was really good. Crips base and spicy tomato sauce with lots of cheese and basil. :thumbsup2

IMG_8186.jpg

Tom ordered the Barbecued Chicken Pizza - grilled red onion, cilantro and smokey barbecue sauce. He had had it before and this time did not disappoint. It was spicy, the chicken was moist and he really enjoyed it.

IMG_8188.jpg

Now there is only ONE dessert for me at WPE! The Creme Brulee. :lmao:

IMG_8191.jpg

Tom got the Frozen Vanilla Yogurt topped with Strawberries. It was such a nice and cool treat. The frozen yogurt isn't too sweet and works well with the sweetness of the strawberries.

Much to soon it was time to leave for the airport!

I wonder who you will be eating with at WPE in August!!!!mmmmm:rotfl2:I have eaten several times at CHH after Jordan's recommendation and LOVE it !!I am not positive we will eat there in August as only Kyle and I like shrimp and if the girls don't eant chicken fingers :confused3! We do plan on eating at FF it will be their first time !! I sure hope the Brisket is back on the menu as I Loved that!!The chicken there was really moist and tasty! I saw inkers ad Jay;s Ribs and they looked far beter than the ones I had a FTB , which were very dry !!:sad1:

Yummy update and as always I look at them in the morning on an empty stomach

Can't believe your TR has come to an end :( But its been a blast reading along and thanks again for sharing with us all :goodvibes

Karin, sorry we will miss you in August, it would have been nice to meet in person. I am rethinking Via Napoli, although the kids really want to try it and we do love arancine and trying new versions. I must keep Hacienda on since we have never eaten anything more than a nacho in Mexico and DH has always wanted to eat there. The San Angel reviews have always been so negative that we have never gone. This time, I thought we would try Hacienda so at least he would get that Mexican meal. We will order something different from MickiNicki though.

So sad to see your "Buckle Up" picture- we all know that feeling. But I am looking forward to your February Report!

Wow...so the most EPIC of Disney dining reports is DONE! :scared1: Amazing. Now, get a move on with your February trip report, please! Of course, I could say the same thing and I don't have several OTHER reports going at the same time. :lmao: And I have to say that you are seriously making me want to try WPE...maybe this trip!

I can't believe all of your Disney updates are over!! :( How sad!

None of my reviews are really done without the final airplane food! :rotfl2: I will finish that off hopefully tonight and then there will be the announcement of my new Dining Review of our February trip, so, you won't get rid of me and my reviews that soon - if you still wanna read along! ;) :goodvibes :lmao:

Hm, I wonder too! Maybe a pole dancing escort might have time to eat with us? ;) :rotfl2:

Do your girls like salads? The BLT is soooooooo good! :thumbsup2 That would give you a chance to eat at CHH!

The brisket at FF was not back in February. Let's keep our fingers crossed, they bring it back! :thumbsup2

Yummy update and as always I look at them in the morning on an empty stomach

Maybe you should try VN for yourself - it's always good to form your own opinion. We LOVED it the first two times in August/September, but were turned off by MickeyNicki's review.

I think the best thing to do is to read up closer to your trip and decide if you want to change some of your restaurants.
We VERY often changed our minds and ADRs last summer and were able to find good choices often very last minute up until an hour and a half until we wanted to have dinner.
With the new system it is VERY do-able.

I will post the link for my February review here! So watch out for it! :goodvibes

Yes, Tina, it's almost done ........ and it took me quite some time! :rotfl2:

I will post a link to my February Dining Review here once I have started it. And I really need to get a move on with my trip reports - I don't want to play catch-up with you too much! :goodvibes :lmao:

You REALLY need to try WPE in July! We love the one at the Marketplace - lots more room and yummy food! :thumbsup2

Day 29, September 11

Airport Doughnuts

Once we had made it to the airport we returned our rental car. Then we walked over to the Lufthansa lines and found them .......... virtually empty! :scared1:

We got in line and were checked in in no time.

So what to do with about 3 hours at the airport. We did a little last minute shopping at the Earport before we decided to have one more Krispy treat.

IMG_8196.jpg

Tom got some flavoured coffee, which he deemed undrinkable and he was right - that stuff was not good!

IMG_8198.jpg

Well, look at those sad doughnuts! :sad2: They tasted as sad as they looked - the first Krispy Kreme doughnuts we did NOT like. They were hard and stale and were binned after just one bite! :sad2:

Next up - Plane dinner

Day 29, September 11

Snack and dinner provided by Lufthansa

We left with a little delay, but once we had reached cruising altitude we were handed some snacks and drinks.

IMG_8201.jpg

A small bag of crackers and

IMG_8203.jpg

some water for me and some

IMG_8202.jpg

Diet Coke for Tom.

About 2 hours into the flight we were served some dinner.

IMG_8204.jpg

IMG_8209.jpg

IMG_8210.jpg

There was a small salad with some Caesar dressing.

IMG_8212.jpg

Our main course was pasta with 2 sauces. One was a creamy, cheesy mushroom sauce and the other a sun dried tomato pesto. As always the pasta was a bit overcooked and the sauces were a little bland, but we were not really hungry anyway.

IMG_8207.jpg

For dessert we had a Tiramisu like cake, which was nice, with a strong coffee flavour.

After dinner we both took some sleeping aid pills and went to sleep.

Next up - Plane breakfast and a final snack

Day 30, September 12

Airplane breakfast and a final snack before arriving back home

When we woke up and looked out of the window it was daylight and we were about 2.5 hours away from our destination, Frankfurt.

We just had time enough to freshen up a bit when breakfast service started.

IMG_8214.jpg

IMG_8215.jpg

First off we had a small bowl of cold fruit. Tom got my melon bits and I got his grapes. :rotfl2:

IMG_8216.jpg

Everyone got an anemic looking roll, which was cold and stale. I kept it on the hot breakfast container to warm it up a bit while I was eating my fruit.
There was some butter and grape jelly to go with the roll as well.

IMG_8217.jpg

There was a hot dish too. A underseasoned omelett, some tasteless limp breakfast potatoes and some diced green peppers, mixed with diced onions and tomatoes. You could tell this was no longer Disney food!

IMG_8220.jpg

Soon after we approached Frankfurt airport and had just a short time until our next plane to Linz was supposed to leave.

It took a while to get from one gate to the other, but the flight was delayed and we had a short time to sit and rest - unfortunately we were really tired and tried hard not to fall asleep.

IMG_8221.jpg

Once on the 50 minute flight from Frankfurt to Linz we were served some drinks and some little vanilla and chocolate snack cakes.

IMG_8223.jpg

IMG_8229.jpg

The 50 minutes were over quickly and we found ourselves closing in on the surrounding villages of Linz.

We touched down right on time

IMG_8231.jpg

I am with you on the WPE pizza - I haven't met one I didn't like! :lmao:

Krispy Kreme made up for the disappointment in February - we had LOTS of them! :rotfl: ........ and all yummy and fresh ones!

Austria looks so pretty!

Icky airplane food.
