What’s your favorite unconventional rope drop?

MK - with a teenage daughter we RD taking pictures. We spend a good 30 minutes or more getting good pictures. She usually wears her most favorite outfit this day and we get those out of the way.

Epcot - Les Halles breakfast

DHS - ToT and RnRC (will be adding meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie for next trip)

AK - Ride EE over and over

This next trip DD has been a kick of wanting to try and RD the headliners at each park (except MK) but I've talked her off the ledge. We've never done that before because we feel it's just too much for us. I think she believes it's a good idea but once there she will be severely overwhelmed. We will have LLSP for each of these rides another day so up in the air if I will buy it a second time.

Le Halles is definitely on my list. I’ve heard some people say it’s really busy in the morning. Have you been able to get a table when you go at “rope drop”.

We have rope dropped it after riding Remy but still during ETPE. We shared a table with other guests.

We’ve always been able to get a table but we may just be lucky. I have seen open areas if you walk to Morocco. I believe it’s Spice Road Table seating area. I don’t know if you’re technically allowed to sit there but I’ve seen people sitting there in the past.

HS Option 1: Toy Story Land (not SDD). We did TSMM 2 times and then Alien Swirling Saucers with my kids before grabbing breakfast at Woody's Lunchbox.

HS Option 2: Early Entry RnRC and ToT then to MMRR before the regular park crowds get in. (I realize this isn't that unconventional).

AK: Taking our time with a Tusker House Breakfast then the first show of Festival of the Lion King

For Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, I'm either part of the big lines or skipping Rope Drop altogether.

From my experience, you were lucky. I entered at the IG during Early Entry, figuring I'd be first in line for LeHalles. Wrong! There was a line out into the front of Chefs de France. Not only were there no tables when I went, but the small round tables that used to be in the courtyard outside were gone. I was so disappointed!

Love this question! Like many others have said, rope dropping the Emporium is great, it's so nice to shop with hardly anyone in there. We also love to start the day at Buzz and Peoplemover when in the MK. We'll usually keep looping around on Buzz until I get galactic hero.

At Epcot, our favorite rope drop is breakfast at Les Halles for some chocolate croissants and mimosas, although this has gotten busy over the past year or so when we've done it, guessing since a lot of people on social media have been raving about how great it is lately. We used to be the only ones in there in the morning, stupid social media! :rotfl:

Another thing we love to do at all parks in the morning is find fun places to get pictures with no one in them, and just explore areas we normally would miss with the crowds.

It’s always packed when we’ve gone but I think it’s plain luck that someone is getting up as we’re ready to sit. But the food is worth it!
