How many Webkinz do your kiddos have???? These silly stuffed animals are still pretty popular out by us and some kids in our neighborhood have upwards of 40 webkinz. I think this is ridicuous. Am I the only one???
If I am figuring this correct, thats over $500.00 in stuffed animals....:scared1:

My kids are only 5 and they each have one Webkin.

my daughter has about 75 but my MIL buys them all.. we have been doing this I would say maybe 3 years.. at first I had no idea what they were and just threw them in her closet... when I heard all the fuss I said I think we have some of those.. and yes.. they were webkinzs.. she gets them for every holiday and such.. they live out of town and send her little gifts in the mail.. last week she got 4 new ones.. and some that have a water room online.. I know its very crazy and I just about die when someone ask how many do you have? I tell my daughter to say I have quite a few we have been doing this for a while now... CRAZY I know.. but you asked.. so I will tell you probably 75

Wow thats crazy. It sounds like it just like the Beanie Baby craze.

We just got into these Webkinz, my boys are younger and they just love going on the website and playing the games to earn money to buy their Webkin stuff. I actually play the games with them sometimes and it is fun. The Webkinz run about 16-17 bucks each out here, so we won't be buying tooo many of these.

I totally agree with you.. my Mom refuses to buy them... so my MIL buys them for her.. My Mom says like you.. if you have one you can play and thats enough... my Mom rather buy her the American Girl stuff...

My girls have over 30 each. They use their allowance $$ for it or receive them as gifts.

Well the American Girl stuff is great too. I just love the amazing detail in the accessories they do at AG. I bought my neice her first AG Bitty Baby doll 5 years ago and she now has the twins, and 3 of the big dolls. Its a huge invesment, but so worth it. My SIL and I are going to try to go to the big warehouse sale in WIS. next year.

True Confessions.

DD9 has 21. I have 6. It's fun for the two of us to get on different computers and play games together.

Just remember to pack them all up to go with the kids when they are ready to move out someday ;)

The kids move out for their first job and leave a lot of stuff behind. I know I did too.

Well, my dd has about 70 of them, and i myself have a few.. I don't see it as anything different than say Barbie dolls or Littlest pet shops -- my dd plays with the stuffies more than the online end of it (which is what I prefer).. And i didn't buy her all of them, she got lots of them as gifts and bought some with her allowance.
It's a collection, same as beanies were years ago.. that's all.. i don't see having that many such a big deal. It's not like she got them all within a week.. ;)

There are 4 in my house who have all been playing with Webkinz for 2 years now. I don't know many they have. I'd guess if they were all piled together, we'd have maybe 50.

My DD6 has 5, 2 were gifts and 3 she bought with her own money. We've been doing it for over a year, though, so one of the pets was just to keep things going after the year membership

I know she wants one of the flying ones and would probably want one of the ones with the water room but she'll have to earn them herself (or if she doesn't have one by then, maybe I'll get her one for Christmas)

Helen

My girls have almost 10 each - they got a couple for birthdays as gifts from their friends, my SIL bought some & some are treats for different things througout the year (younges got two teeth pulled - tooth fairy brought her one for the trauma! :) )

i have 2, my 4yo has 3 and my8yo daughter...well to be honest...she has them all and many duplicates. except the newest couple that just came out. i dont have an actual number count of them.

i dont see why it matters how many a kid has. if thats what theyre into and want for their birtdays and christmas, then thats what they get;)
i dont see why its anyone business what people spend their own money on:confused3

My DGD is 11. She and her girlfriends are Webkin FREAKS! She has 44, but some of those gals have many more. But it's not even the stuffed animal that is intriguing....they are piled up in her closet in a basket....it's the codes on each one that gets her a virtual pet online! I'm her grandma and I have to admit I like going on to her webkins site and playing a few of the games to get her more points. She has received Webkins from many sources....birthday gifts, Christmas, some from aunts and her other grandma, just cuz. She even got two in her Easter basket - rabbits of course. ;) And she even saves her allowance to buy them too. She's in 5th grade now, but I'm betting it won't last much longer as I've heard the older kids in her school call the craze "babyish".

Well my DD12 has exactly one and she and DS14 "share" it. I confess I did buy them each a new one while at WDW - the shop near Aladdin's Flying Carpets had just put out (what I am told) are the newest models.

DD7 and DD9 have one each and they got them as presents last Christmas.

DD9 is not even into stuffed animals at all. But both have been asking to get more - because the on-line membership runs out in a year. :rolleyes1 So, any deals out there?

Of course, they are welcome to spend their own $$ to buy them... funny how they don't. ;)

you can usually find the older ones at limited 2 for buy one get one free.

We actually just picked up the bat today, last month was the manatee. I admit I'm curious to see if the bat can swim in the underwater room. :cutie: DH thinks she has too many, but she saves her allowance to get them or receives them as gifts mostly so if that's what she wants to spend her money on, that's fine with me. She enjoys playing on the computer, but loves playing with the plushes more.
