Wishing each of you a very happy new year filled with the real treasures of life--family love.
Bring on 2025!
Bring on 2025!
Hey bluecastle,Hi Lodgers! I’ve been MIA for a while. Spent 11/17/-11/24 at WDW, followed by 2 trips to the ER at home and a 6 day stay in the hospital with pneumonia and the flu! I’m beginning to think that November may not be the best month for me to go to WDW! (in 2022 I got COVID) Our 5 year-old DGD made it all worthwhile, but there were other factors that left me with the feeling that it will be a long time before we go back. Even though we didn’t get a lake view, again, it was fun to be in the same room we were in, 5548, back in 2017. Loved all the prints on the walls. There was 1 CM who made it her mission to make sure that my DGD had a magical trip, leaving stickers for her in the room and arranging all her stuffies and souvenirs in beautiful arrangements on her bed. Will share photos soon. I am slowly getting my energy back and have cut way back on my DIS time. My 2 remaining interests right now are photos and the WL. Trying not to be too negative here, especially on New Year’s Day! Wishing you all good health and moments of joy throughout 2025!

I totally understand being stressed about it, but I think you are probably going at a less crowded time and that will help. I was also very stressed during our trip because of some issues with my DD and I not seeing eye to eye, and after all of my planning and work I was very upset. So, I am sure those stressful situations lowered my immune system as well. My advice, besides everything you are planning to do, plan ways to relax and allow yourself many breaks. Don’t push yourself. Eat at off hours. If there are After Hours nights during your trip go to them. They are so much less crowded. It is really important to plan relaxation into your trip. And even if you read about other people getting sick (sorry if I added to your stress!), know that November and December were tough months for illness, but that doesn’t mean January will be. My DH and I went during January in 2020 and we were fine!! Good luck!We are headed to WDW in a few weeks and with my compromised immune system, I'm totally stressing out. I'll wear a mask at the airport, on the plane, and anytime indoors at the hotel and parks. But that can only do so much, you know? I still have a lingering cough from my most recent illness. I got sick in mid-November and had two rounds of antibiotics. But the cough won't go away totally. It's been rough. I don't want to catch something else right away.

Among other things, location. BRV are a separate building while CCV is in the main building. CCV are converted hotel rooms, BRV was built as DVC. Hard to say about the interior as CCV is undergoing renovations that are scheduled to last until September. BRV was just renovated about 2 years ago and nearly all rooms now have the Murphy beds. CCV, right now, have pull out sofas. They *may* be replaced by the Murphy beds. Hopefully! Also, the studios at BRV (if you have a lock off) do have a 5th sleeper while the studio's at CCV do not and will almost assuredly not after the refurb. Both are great! We are planning a stay at the villas in August 2025. What are the differences between a 2BR at Boulder Ridge and a 2BR at Copper Creek?
American Thanksgiving is late again, 11/27/25. Is Copper Creek available?Playing the fun game of let's try to book a BRV studio for early December and December 4th was already gone! Is American Thanksgiving late again this year? Or does everyone love Christmas at the Lodge as much as I do?
Copper Creek was available at 7:59 but was snapped up.American Thanksgiving is late again, 11/27/25. Is Copper Creek available?
