Upon Online Check-in, How Long Before Photos/Docs Approved?

We did our on-line check-in on Monday 10/7 for mid-November cruise. Our status is pending based on approval by Disney of our headshots and passport photos. Any idea as to how long the approval process takes?

Anywhere from when you submit your information to a week before your cruise. I think when we did our last cruise in April, it took close to two weeks from when we went online and submitted our information.

It can take up to a few days before sailing. As long as you have official documents, the worst case scenario is that you’d need to have photos retaken at the port. If you have your Port Arrival Time/Boarding Group, you don’t need to keep checking on photo approval.

As others said, it can be up to a few days before sailing. A human has to review each and every submission, so it takes time. If it still says pending, don't fret, that's normal.

You should get an email when everything's approved, or if something wasn't and you need to reupload. If worse comes to worse and for some reason it doesn't get approved before you sail, you can take care of it at the terminal (it'll just take a bit more time).

Some cruises, approval comes in a couple days. Some it comes in a couple weeks. Varies widely.

If DCL needs something else from you, they will send you an email. And a headshot that has been approved for 10+ cruises can not be approved for another cruise. Guess it is up to the individual looking at the checkin docs.

For our next cruise, I checked us in on 16SEP & received the confirmed email on 11OCT. Last cruise we checked in on 26JUL and finalized 07AUG.

I checked in September 17 , got approved September 29.
