Just had a Tupperware party this afternoon and now I'm sitting down with the catalog to figure out what I'd like to get for my free stuff. I'm thinking of a few of the FridgeSmart containers. Do you have any of them and can you give me your review of them? Do they really work at keeping produce fresher-longer? The demonstrator said that she put grapes & strawberries in them and 3 weeks later the fruit was still fresh. Seems like a stretch to me and I know demonstrators need to "sell" an item so I always figure they try to make everything sound SOOOOO wonderful. So I'd like to know from not Tupperware selling people how they like them and if they really work. Are there any sizes that are better than others?

Plus my MIL bought the pressure cooker and the stack cooker. I know the Tupperware site has some recipes for these items but wondering where I'd be able to find other recipes. Do you know of any microwavable pressure cooker cookbooks? Or when you purchase these items, do they come with recipes? What about a guide line on how long to cooker for and stuff like that?

I have the older style of fridgesmart. I do like it and use it every week. I use the medium size the most. I don't know if fruit will last 2 complete weeks, but definitely more than 1. If putting lettuce in it, I still line it with a napkin to keep it fresh longer, but otherwise I use it for grapes, strawberries, peppers, carrots, celery etc...

Sorry, I've never used any of their cooking products, I only have storage and utensils.

btw, my absolute favorite product is their vegetable peeler, I've had it for 15 years and it's still just as sharp and easy to peel

Oh wow, 15 yrs on a veggie peeler. that's awesome. I have a couple of the pampered chef ones and I really like those too. Might try the tupperware one. I have a couple more parties in the next month so we'll see.

I have the older style as well, the top two from this picture:

I definitely think they keep things longer than just bags. I tend to use the smallest one for cut bell peppers and the next one down for celery or carrots. If I were at a Tupperware party again, I'd think about the next size for salad. (I like buying the bagged for convenience, but it doesn't stay fresh long after I open it - though the paper towel trick does help!)

The other Tupperware things I use all the time are the little midgets containers.

Well, looks like I'm gonna go for the Fridgesmart containers. And now that I see the pic of the old style, I do remember having one years ago but I have no idea where it is now and I don't remember how well it worked. But we're eating a bit healthier these days so more fruits/vegs, etc, so I think these will come in handy.

We have two styles before that. They weren't even called fridge smart. But they could go in the fridge. The lids finally gave out.

By the way, are you interested in any items exclusively for hosts? If you hosted, I'd look into those first.

I did host the party. Even though I liked the hostess gifts, I wasn't interested in them. Even though the demo kept saying that I was. It was weird lol
