Can someone tell me about the launch for Tron? I’ve read the max speed is like 60 or 65 mph, but does it launch immediately to that speed in seconds like RNRC or is it a gradual buildup? I can do the GoG launch but RNRC gets me. I am just wondering how Tron compares to those?

I would say more RnRC, with a bit of "Hulk" in there (if that reference helps!). But being on top of the ride vehicle instead of sitting in it does make it feel a bit different. You get to speed very quickly.

I didnt feel the launch was crazy abrupt. Its quick acceleration, similar to a sport car.

I would definitely say RnR and test track are more abrupt.

I didnt feel fast to me till you enter the tunnel.

Yes, its is very similar to the launch in RNRC.

RNRC feels much more aggressive to me. The only issue I had with the Tron launch was that I was concerned my glasses would fly off, since you are hitting the wind way more in the face than RNRC. I will wear a eyeglass strap next time, just for peace of mind. I don't think I would have actually lost them. My son felt the same way. He's actually holding his on in the photo.

The top speed of Tron is 59 mph Not 60 or 65. The fastest ride in Disney remains test track at 65 mph. Yes it is a fast launch. Think of it as a slingshot launch. You're going to go from 0 to 59 in one or two seconds. Very very quick. Hang on!

Actually it's not really bad. It's a very smooth roller coaster. Much smoother than even test track. Very comfortable seating. And you're held on very securely. You get shot out of the building and do two laps around the outside under the canopy. Then you go in the building and it slows down. I would say it probably drops to around 45 mph tops. That's where you get the drops and the turns. Like personally I think it's very mild. I went on seven drawers right after Tron and I thought seven dwarfs was intense in comparison. The way you get whipped around those corners and go swinging out. On very hard small seats. It can be jarring.

I think RNRC feels like a faster launch to me. We rode in the first row a few times and then in various other rows and will say the front row is a bit more aggressive but overall, I think the ride is relatively tame.

I agree that RNRC is more of an intense (shocking) launch, but this one is still a "WOW" factor, too.

There is a countdown before launch, so you will know when. We experienced 2 countdowns, I think the ride was on hold or something. You’ll see the launch while waiting in queue and know what to expect.
