Does any one have any suggestions (besides renting a car) as to what form of transportation is most convenient/economical for getting to our hotel from LAX? Taxi? Airport Shuttle? Thank you! :ccat:

Does your hotel offer free transportation?

I wouldn't do a taxi from LAX (way too expensive).

The most convenient will be a town car/limo but that can be expensive if you only have a small group. We will be using American Limousine Services in November; It is $99 each way from LAX to the Disneyland area but we have 7 people so the price pp is not that bad.

I have used Supershuttle in the past and they have been really good each time. They are about $30 RT pp for a shared van; not as convenient but much cheaper for a small group.

I have also used the Disneyland Express and while they were a bit less convenient than Supershuttle was they have some really good deals sometimes. I have read on here about a deal they have where you pay $99 for 5 people RT.

I had good luck with Super Shuttle last time. Planning to use them again on our upcoming trip.

I love the Disneyland Express! Unlike other shuttles, it's a touring sized bus that is very roomy, always air-conditioned and comfortable. Personal space is not an issue. It's only "inconvenience" that I've seen is that it always stops at the Disneyland Hotel first, where some people will also pay the fare, before moving on to other hotels. But chances that YOUR hotel will be first stop is slim, no matter which shuttle you choose. With DE, though, you're guaranteed comfort.

On our first trip two years ago, their tv monitors were working so we got to watch Disneyland footage during the drive. It wasn't working this last trip, though. But the busses, themselves, are hugely decorated with Disneyland photos, so it almost feels like a jump-start on the vacation as soon as the bus arrives.

this is the reason we are taking the Disneyland Resort Express bus (be careful, as there are other buses/shuttles with similar names advertising on the net) -- they have a family pass for $99.00 r/t from lax to our good neighbour resort (it is valid for up to 5 ppl) so for us it was a great price, and the fact that it's decorated disney style, with the movies playing on your way there... we figured transport & entertainment all in one is a great start to our disney vacation :)

Good point! In fact, we were totally thrown off by one of these imposters. Their shuttle van (not bus) said "Disneyland Express" on it. The driver would've had us believe he was the one and only. But the van was old, dingy and smelled like cigarettes on the inside. I was finally able to trap him into fessing up. So, yes, if it isn't what you were expecting, it's probably an imposter.

mousesavers.com pointed out the difference:

the airconditioned big bus with Disneyland decoarations & movies is titled 'Disneyland Resort' express bus and operated by Grayline Anaheim.

mousesavers often issues coupons for discounts off the Disneyland Resort express tickets for either single or r/trip tickets, or family passes.

the other buses are called things like Disneyland Express, or Disney Magic bus etc and are not operated by Grayline Anaheim.

Thank you all for your great responses! I will definitely be looking into the Disneyland Resort Bus and super shuttle since we have a small group. Thanks Again! :thumbsup2

We used Primetime shuttle this past trip.
It was $96 for a private 9 passenger van. Book online or call and reserve.
$72 for same van Anaheim to SNA
