The good news is that I got tickets to the Disney studio tour. Now I have to figure out how to get there! 😂 Seriously though, someone mentioned that there's a rental car desk at Pixar Place. I did a search and someone also mentioned taking Amtrak. Suggestions?

Congratulations on booking the studio tour. I though it was a really unique experience, especially for a Disney fan.

I was the one that mentioned Enterprise at Pixar Place. If you feel comfortable driving, renting a car will be your best bet. Parking is free at the studios.

If you’re adventurous, you can take the Metrolink (instead of Amtrak). It’ll cost RT $20 and take about 2.5 hours each way. From PP, take the ART to the Anaheim station, the Metrolink to Burbank and then the Pink Bus, which will stop near the Studios. If you buy your ticket via the app, transfers on ART and Pink Bus are free.

A ride share will cost $60-$80 each way most of the time. Rental cars can be expensive, and count on paying $15-20 for fuel, so it may be a decent alternative. Or maybe take the train for $20 to Burbank and ride share back to Pixar Place?

Yeah, coming from Texas, I am not looking forward to paying California gas prices. :worried:

I have used the Enterprise Car Rental in the PPH and it worked well for us when we needed to visit Scripps College with our daughter last year. I booked through Costco Travel online (best prices) and we picked up the car there and returned it to SNA. It was fairly seamless.

I would not take Amtrak. We made the mistake of taking Amtrak from Burbank airport to Anaheim and it took much longer to get to Anaheim than driving. Part of the reason was because the train was over an hour late. I don’t recommend!

Have fun on the tour!

In this country, taking the train will almost never be faster than driving. However, taking Amtrak/Metrolink during peak rush hour is competitive with driving. Sorry you had such a bad experience but those trains, unlike other Amtrak trains, have excellent reliability records.

We are leaning towards renting a car, even if I have to do all the driving. I won't be paying extra for a 20 yo to drive! Since we have the car, we might make a stop at Tam O' Shanter's for an early dinner after the tour.
