Yes, the bathroom floor, right next to the toilet. Should I boil it for 5 minutes or toss it?

At least it didn't fall into the toilet. Just think about fishing it out instead of just picking it up.

EWWWWW!

I rememeber seeing once on one of the news shows about how leaving your toothbrush on the sink, or in the holder anywhere within 5 feet of the toliet is just as nasty. When you flush it sprays up. Not enough to notice that it is, but micro bits that we can't see. Those bits can land on your brush if its out and within 5 feet of the toliet. We always have kept ours in the medicine cabinet so no worries for us.

I'm sure there are zillions more mouth germs on it than floor germs. ;) I run all our toothbrushes through the dishwasher once a month and after anyone's sick (as well as clean and lysol the toothbrush holder). Checked with dentist who said this was fine. I replace them when they're worn down or every six months or so. Toss it if you want, but IMO it's not necessary. The dishwasher will do.

I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to germs again. This kind of thing just doesn't bother me. I would just rinse it off with hot water. It's not a public toilet, for pete's sake.

I would give it a good rinse and get on with my day.

I see I'm in the minority :confused3

Good luck with your toothbrush, Beth. P&PD.

No advice, just hugs.

also guess it would depend on how dirty your bathroom is. if it was my brothers bath room I would burn it.

I've heard somewhere to soak it for five minutes in an alcohol based mouthwash works as well.

Ditto

Quick rinse it off and put toothpaste on it and stick it back into your mouth and brush with it ;)

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger ::yes::

If it was my brother's toothbrush I would just put it back. ;)
